The leader Cybertrons (Autobots). A wise, father-like leader whose unmatched bravery and compassion serve to inspire his robot and human allies alike and strike fear into the hearts of his enemies, the Destron (Decepticons). His signature weapon is the **Laser Rifle** (レーザーライフル ), also known as the **Ion Blaster** in the US. In most incarnations, his alternate mode is a truck, although its exact model tends to vary depending on the entry.

Fleeing from the war that has raged on the planet Cybertron for millions of years, the heroic Autobots led by Optimus Prime encounter a surprise attack by the evil Decepticons led by Megatron. The ensuing melee aboard the Autobot ship ends when the ship crashes on a volcano. Four million years later, an earthquake reactivates the ship`s computer and resurrects both the Autobots and Decepticons, resuming the great war of the Transformers.

Headmasters starts with Galvatron leading a new batch of Destrons to wage war on Seibertron, the Destron Headmasters. The Cybertrons are rescued by the arrival of the Cybertron Headmasters, led by Fortress (Cerebros, the head of Fortress Maximus). It is revealed that Fortress left Seibertron millions of years ago in search of energy, and have finally managed to come home. He explains that the Headmasters are from a planet called Master; the human-sized robots who live there built themselves Transformers-sized bodies. They can then transform themselves into the heads of the robots, and have now joined the Cybertron-Destron war.

It is the year 2005. Twenty-one years after the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons resumed their neverending war on planet Earth, the Decepticons have conquered the robots' home planet Cybertron. After a surprise attack by the Decepticons, both factions wage a gruesome battle at Autobot City. As 2006 settled in, Earth had been rendered completely devoid of Transformers, and the rebuilding of Tokyo was underway. However, Galvatron's impact was revealed to have had a much greater effect than anyone could have predicted&mdash;the blast caused by his impact had scattered his Unicron-empowered cells throughout the planet's atmosphere. When they came into contact with other animals and objects, from marine life to cars, they fused with them, becoming one of many monstrous creatures referred to as Legion. This catastrophe also created the means to defend the world against the Legion, however&mdash;when Galvatron's cells came into contact with human beings, they also become able to fuse with other entities containing his cells by kissing them. With their Autroopers being the perfect candidates for this "ParasiTech" fusion process, the EDC began recruiting and training these "Kiss Players" as combat squads to battle the Legion.

While occasionally retelling events from the show, it often deviates from its plotline, being treated as a continuation to the live-action movie series by Michael Bay instead of a standalone entry, and often featuring spotlights for characters whose toys were released exclusively in Japan.
 
Note: Chapter count includes three extra chapters published after its initial run concluded, which were not collected in a tankoubon release. Those chapters were labelled "The Cool Extra (ザ・クール・エキストラ)" and often adapted plotlines from the show that Tsushima initially omitted.

A 4-koma gag manga based on Transformers.

Starting off as 4koma and published online to promote the titular Transformers Legends toyline, with special Bonus Edition (出張版 Shutchōban) chapters of the comic packed with the toys themselves, it Initially showcased the misadventures of the Beast Wars cast re-imagined as adult Transformers fans, before eventually taking a more story-driven approach and attempting to connect all the entries of the Japanese Generation 1 anime and manga continuity into one storyline. 

Heavily marketed towards adult collectors and otaku in the face of the brand's dwindling popularity with children after TakaraTomy's largely unsuccessful first attempt in the mid-2000s, it attempted to change the image of the Transformers franchise, with much more "adult", often ecchi-filled humour and numerous references to fan culture.
 
Ulltimately concluded when TakaraTomy began a brand unification with Hasbro starting with Power of the Primes, deciding to mainly sell Hasbro toys as is with minimal changes to packaging. The series mainly follows the (mis)adventures of Teletraan 15, charged by the mysterious "Kurohy&#333; Man" ("Black Panther Man") to traverse time and space, gathering data on the Transformers. As she does, her friend Teletraan 10 provides snarky commentary on the Cybertronians she meets. Towards the end of the run, the comic took a side-trip to follow the events of the Kiss Players as they too traveled across the dimensions.

Set in the years 2004–2005 of the Japanese Generation 1 continuity, it tells the tale of a conflict between the Cybertrons and Destrons in which a set of dimensional fissures known as the Blastizone brings forth characters from across time and space to the present day on Earth, serving as a big crossover event between Generation 1, Beast Wars, Victory, Beast Wars II, and more, in honor of the Transformers brand's 20th anniversary. 
 
The series was published online through Takara's official website from 2004 to 2005, for a total of thirteen chapters. Each consisted of two pages and accompanying prose that expanded the comics' story. Being the longest-running of the Robotmasters fiction, the online chapters told the majority of the series's story and was the only one to see it through to a proper conclusion. Additionally, two physical comics, each four pages at length, were also published in catalogs packaged with the Robotmasters toys, and served as complementary in-between chapters to the online comic.

In 2004, G1 Convoy is alerted to a disturbance: an attack by a tyrannosaurus rex calling himself Beast Megatron! Cybertrons and Destrons from across the eras have converged on this time to clash over the newly-discovered energy source - solitarium!

Episode 43.5, "Distribution", is a comedic special show which commemorates 500 episodes of Transformers in Japan (however, since that total includes assorted Japanese series, the west is still some distance away from this number). When aired in Japan, it did not air in the usual timeslot for Superlink, and is not in any sort of chronological order - It features the Autobots playing a video game training simulator, which they certainly do not have time to do between episodes 42 and 44.

The story takes place on the planet Elementros, which has unknown powers. The main character, Optimus Prime, follows his friend Megatron and lands on this planet.
There, Optimus meets Lightlong, a giraffe-type Transformer who is an energy beast. According to Lightlong, the energy beasts that live on Elementros in the form of animals and dinosaurs have five elements of "element energy" hidden within them: fire, water, earth, nature, and lightning. Suddenly, Megatron attacks. Optimus and Lightlong use the power of their bond to awaken the ability to transform and combine [Wild King]. Optimus joins forces with the animals, and Megatron commands the dinosaurs. What will be its fate?!
