A dirty cop who discovers Akagi's immense talent while pursuing him after a game of chicken he participated in resulted in severe injuries for his opponent. Afterwards, Yasuoka seeks to use Akagi's talent for his own gain, setting up a match with the Yakuza before, 6 years later, he introduces the Kawada group to a fake Akagi, Hirayama Yukio. Later, he also helps Ohgi set up the match between Washizu and Akagi, and acts as Akagi's partner in Washizu Mahjong.

Umibouzu (means "sea bonze", which is a ghost in Japanese mythology; real name: Hayato Ijuin), is a "sweeper" in the underground just like [Ryou Saeba](https://anilist.co/character/2065/Ryou-Saeba). With his giant body and his superb combat skills, he doesn't really need a partner. He is Saeba's equal in most things, and the two have somewhat of a rivalry going.  Umibouzu fought against Ryou back in Central America and had his eyes damaged by Saeba. This should make them enemies, but both men shrug off the past since what happened in the war was not personal. That doesn't mean that they don't fight, though. They often find each other on the same case, but on different sides, and have dueled more than once.

Daijirou Gou is the defense tactician, was once a playful child. But Daijirou's outlook in life suddenly changed when his father disappeared. Alarmed by this change in his personality, Mrs. Gou sent him to live in the country where a martial arts master taught him different fighting styles and forms of meditation. Upon rejoining his brothers, Daijirou was already a master of different hand-to-hand fighting styles.

Lucas Amato is a biology teacher at Meridiana High School.  He is good friends with Adrian Seidelman, a fellow teacher at Meridiana High School, and they often have coffee or eat at the Caf&eacute; together.    Lucas is also friends with Cybersix, whom he comes to love as much more than a friend as the series progresses.  He is always there to help Cybersix whenever she comes to see him at his apartment. 

Second-in-command, Dino Brachio serves as Tyranno's advisor and is the biggest, oldest and wisest of the Dino Knights. Commander of the Garcia Batallion and colonel of the Earth Federation&#039;s armed forces. Does everything for money and entrusted with defeating the Fang of the Sun rebel group. 

Hero-wannabe from a far away planet, who unfortunately has no super powers or sense of justice; rolls around with his belly on a skateboard, throws grenades, and changes his clothes in a phone booth, eating an umeboshi to transform. Suppaman works as a reporter when in disguise as Kenta Kuraaku (暗悪健太, Kuraaku Kenta?), which literally translates to &quot;Dark-and-Evil&quot; [generic man&#039;s name]; note that to Japanese ears &quot;Kuraaku Kenta&quot; sounds like Clark Kent). 

Emperor Pilaf's ninja crony who apparently is a humanoid dog. He and Mai usually work together to carry out the work of their vertically-challenged and short tempered Emperor. He's one of the first villains in the Dragon Ball series, but perhaps villain is too strong a word for such a weakling. He's almost comic relief. Originally known as Soba in the manga, but was renamed due to match the anime name given after Akira Toriyama forgot he had named him previously. He appears along with Mai and Pilaf in two episodes of Dragonball GT.

General White is the questionably sane, often over-reactive Russian commander of Muscle Tower, the Red Ribbon Army&#039;s northern fortress. The oldest of the known officers, White, while not a gifted strategist, is observant and draws conclusions with surprising speed, and is the only officer to have ever found out Goku&#039;s primary weakness; his tail. Trapped at the top of the six-level tower through status, White spends his time either smoking a pipe, taking sips from his flask, yelling, or bursting out in laughter for no apparent reason. While he is easily irritated and slightly impatient, White is surprisingly complementary, congratulating Goku when he reached the sixth floor and praising Ninja Murasaki for a job well done when he supposedly killed Goku. As Goku and Android 8 reach the sixth and final level of the tower, which is his level, Goku and General White fight, but it is clear that Goku is much stronger. He then threatens to kill the village chief if Android 8 doesn&#039;t comply to kill Goku, and shoots the boy with a handgun. In retaliation, Android 8 finally punches General White out of Muscle Tower, flying into the mountains, never to be seen or heard of again.

One of the three master swordsmen of Gaea and a general of Fanelia's army, Balgus served under Van's father in his younger days and later left to travel around Gaea, searching to improve his skills. He met Allen and trained him for a time, but when Van's father died he returned to Fanelia to look after Van and his mother. When Zaibach destroyed Fanelia, he died while saving Van.      Though he perished early in the series he continues to affect the lives of the main characters through his lasting influence as both a mentor to Van and teacher to Allen.
