Fergus was one of the only Pok&eacute;mon Trainers who was able to make it through Mewtwo&#039;s storm and reach New Island, along with Ash, his friends, Neesha and Corey. When Mewtwo revealed himself to be the one who invited all the Trainers to New Island, Fergus was the first to speak out against it, claiming a Pok&eacute;mon could not be a Trainer. He tried using his Gyarados to battle Mewtwo, but the Psychic Pok&eacute;mon easily defeated it. Rossi is a minor character who appeared in Pokémon Heroes. He is a resident of Alto Mare in Johto and a local gondolier.

Doctor Rondo (known as Professor Lund in most international territories) is a Pokémon Professor from LaRousse City and the father of [Tooi Rondo](https://anilist.co/character/31542/Tooi-Rondo). He is credited for naming the Mythical Pokémon Deoxys. 

Masaki Sonezaki is a Pokémon researcher, widely regarded as an expert in many fields. He has made many appearances in the games. Bill is most commonly found in his Sea Cottage, which is north of Cerulean City at the end of Route 25. He is most notable for his first appearance in the Generation I games and for his Pokémon Storage System that has been pertinent in the entire main series.

Matis is the Gym Leader of Kuchiba City's Gym, known officially as the Kuchiba Gym. He hands out the Thunder Badge to Trainers who defeat him. He specializes in Electric-type Pokémon.

An intimidating person, Matis surrounds himself with other tough-looking Trainers. He is arrogant, loud, and crude; and refers to all challengers as "babies" until they manage to defeat him. Matis generally looks down on unevolved Pokémon, preferring to evolve them as soon as possible. He also seems to be an extremely brutal battler, as nearly every Trainer that faced him ended up with their Pokémon being seriously injured.

Flint first appeared in Showdown in Pewter City. Ash and Misty met Flint, who was selling rocks as souvenirs. Ash bragged about his goal to become a Pok&eacute;mon Master, but Flint told Ash that thinking he could defeat Brock, the Pewter City gym leader was foolish.    After the match, which Ash lost, Flint brought him home and talked with Ash about Brock. Flint took him to Brock&#039;s house and revealed that Brock had nine younger siblings that he constantly had to take care of, because his father left to become a Pok&eacute;mon Trainer. He never returned, as did his mother.    Flint decided to help Ash in his gym battle and hooked Pikachu to a hydro-electric dam to increase its strength. After the gym battle, Flint showed up and revealed himself to be Brock&#039;s father. He had failed to become a successful Pok&eacute;mon Trainer and couldn&#039;t face Brock and his siblings. As Brock wanted to travel with Ash, he left the Gym Leader position and the duty of being head of the family to Flint.    Flint met Brock again in A Family That Battles Together, Stays Together! when he returned to Pewter City after traveling through Kanto, Johto, and the Orange Archipelago. Brock scolded Flint for not taking care of the Gym. An embarrassed Flint explained that that he had just got the Gym set up the way he liked it when Brock&#039;s mother returned. Flint took Brock back to the Gym, which had been redecorated. Flint closed it because he couldn&#039;t stand it anymore.    Lola and Flint had a rematch for the title of Gym Leader, which he lost. Fortunately, Brock was able to beat his mother. Flint and Lola then agreed to change the Gym to specialize in a combination of Water-types and Rock-types. Katsura is the Gym Leader of Guren Island's (later the Twin Islands') Gym, known officially as the Guren Gym. He hands out the Volcano Badge to Trainers who defeat him. He is a highly intelligent man who specializes in Fire-type Pokémon.

Katsura likes to make up riddles and use puns even in inappropriate situations. Even so, he is a stern opponent and takes his role as Gym Leader very seriously. He values a keen challenger and makes sure they truly earn their Volcano Badge in battle. He has crafted his battle strategy around his Gym's volcanic location, which suits his Fire Pokémon against its biggest weakness, Water Pokémon.

Vito is part of the great Winstrate family. His family is well known for challenging any visitor that comes to their house. Vito was the one member of the family who went out on a Pokemon journey. But after a while, Vito stopped his journey due to another passion he has. Luckily, his family still loves him no matter what he chooses in life.

Romeo was deeply in love with Juliet, but unfortunately he always became very nervous when he was around her. This affected the show the two put on with their Volbeat and Illumise, as it caused him to bumble through his performance motions.   However, in the end they admitted their love for each other and they were able to put on a great show. 

Forrester Franklin (Japanese: タクマ・イチロー Ichirō Takuma) is a one-time character in the Pok&eacute;mon anime who appeared in the episode All in a Day&#039;s Wurmple. Forrest Franklin is Forrester&#039;s identical twin brother; Forrester is distinguished by his orange t-shirt and a mole on the right side of his face. His Japanese voice actress is Makoto Tsumura and his English voice actor is Andrew Rannells.    Forrest was born around Rustboro City. In the episode, he has just returned there after traveling with his Pok&eacute;mon for a long time.    When Forrester first met Ash, he asked for a battle as he was impressed by Pikachu&#039;s strength. He taught Ash about double battles and they held the first double battle in the anime since the introduction of the concept to the games in Pok&eacute;mon Ruby and Sapphire (though the anime had previously featured one in Pok&eacute;mon Double Trouble). Forrester&#039;s Ariados and Yanma used many combination attacks to provide a threat but were still defeated by Ash&#039;s Pikachu and Treecko. This defeat made Forrester realize that he still had a lot more work to do on his battle skills.    Forrester joined the group for lunch where he was reunited with Forrest. When Forrest announced his decision to travel, Forrester promised that he would watch over the forest for him.     Bulbapedia

Kennedy (Japanese: クロダ Kuroda) is a character of the day in Stairway to Devon. He is voiced by Michael Sinterniklaas in English and Katsuyuki Konishi in Japanese. Old Man Swamp (Japanese: ヌマタ老人 Old Numata), also known as Mr. Swampy, is the character of the day in A Mudkip Mission. Old Man Swamp is a man who runs a shelter for Mudkip and resembles the Pokémon he takes care of. He receives Mudkip eggs from the Pokémon League and raises them to be starter Pokémon for beginning trainers of the Hoenn region. When he saw that Ash and company trespassed in his secret shelter grounds, he thought that they were trying to steal the Mudkip. Soon everything was straightened out when Ash explained how Brock saved a baby Mudkip. But Brock explained to him later that another, older, Mudkip helped rescue the baby Mudkip. Old Man Swamp has a tendency of giving out too much information. One instance was him telling Team Rocket not to break the dam because it would flood the area and the Mudkip would have nowhere to live. When Old Man Swamp saw how Brock and Mudkip worked together to save the baby Mudkip and stop Team Rocket, he eventually asked him to take Mudkip with him as it was getting too old to give to a beginning trainer. Both Brock and Mudkip happily agreed.

Kenny (Japanese: コウタ Kōta) is a character of the day who appeared in Gonna Rule the School. He is voiced by 伊東みやこ Miyako Itō in Japanese and Rachael Lillis in English.    Kenny started out to be a timid boy who fears to even touch Pok&eacute;mon. Like Anita, his parents also make him attend the Pok&eacute;mon Trainer&#039;s School. But when faced against Team Rocket, he gives Max helpful advice on how to defeat them and soon learns to love Pok&eacute;mon.     Bulbapedia

Souya is a treasure-hunter who searches the sea for valuable artifacts. Together he and his wife Erimo run a salvage shop called on Wazuwa Island.

Mikuri is a highly accomplished Trainer and Coordinator who specializes in Water-type Pokémon. He is the Gym Leader of Sootopolis City's Gym, known officially as the Sootopolis Gym, awarding the Rain Badge to those who defeat him.

Steven Stone (Daigo Tsuwabuki in the Japanese version of Pokemon) is the Elite Champion in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, and a powerful wandering Trainer in Emerald, having relegated his title to Wallace. He is a master of the Steel-type, with a Metagross being the cornerstone of his team.    Steven is the son of the president of the Devon Corporation, and he and his father both collect rare stones. Steven makes his home on Mossdeep, and when the Elite Four are beaten in Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, he will have left a Beldum and a note for the player.     In the anime  Steven&#039;s only appearance in the Pokemon anime was in A Hole Lotta Trouble. He helped Ash, his friends, and Team Rocket escape from an underground cavern.    At the end of the episode, Ash vowed to train harder so one day he could be powerful enough to battle Steven.       In Pokemon Adventures  Steven met Ruby while looking through the Granite Cave. During a battle with wild Mawile, Ruby&#039;s Skitty bumped into one of Steven&#039;s Moon Stones, causing it to evolve.    Steven was well-aware of the danger Team Magma and Team Aqua presented, and extended an invitation to Ruby to join the fight against them. Steven invited him to help, but Ruby declined because he didn&#039;t like battling. The armlets on Steven&#039;s arms are devices he can chip away stone with, to grab and retrieve rocks he sees that are out of reach.    Later in the series, Steven confessed that he and his father, the owner of the Devon Corporation, knew about the schemes of Team Magma and Team Aqua quite long ago. Mr. Stone built the Submarine Explorer 1 so that Steven can seal the Seafloor Cavern and no one would be able to wake Kyogre and Groudon. The backup plan in case it fails would be to unseal Regirock, Regice, and Registeel.    Steven later assembles the rest of the Hoenn Elite Four in order to fight against Kyogre and Groudon. With the help of Sapphire&#039;s Wailord and Relicanth, Steven and the Elite Four unsealed the Regis. Steven took control of Registeel and gave the other two Regis to the other members of the Elite Four.    Knowing he would die in Kyogre and Groudon&#039;s battle, Steven stepped down from the position of Champion, and gave it back to Wallace, who was actually the true Champion while Steven had only been a runner-up. After Kyogre and Groudon returned to their respective domains, Steven apparently died from the strain of controlling the Regis, but was later revived under mysterious circumstances when Ruby released his Celebi.    Steven later traveled to Sinnoh to collect the rare stones found in the region. He had purchased a Villa but sold it to Platinum and returned to Hoenn at the start of the Platinum chapter.    Steven uses his Metagross to fly around Hoenn. Its magnetism allows him to float atop it.

**Trond Teigen** is a Norwegian actor, singer and voice actor.

He started his career with the play *Treasure Island* at the Chateau Neuf in 1989, where he later also played Tony in *West Side Story* and Charley in *Charley's Aunt*. Here he also starred in *Hello Dolly, Sweet Charity* and *Oliver*.

At *Det Norske Teatret* in Oslo, Trond has appeared in *Sweeney Todd, Guten og Stjerna, Carousel, Musical Musikal, Black Rider, Piaf, An-Magritt, The Threepenny Opera, Which Witch, Norge-Brasil* and *Evita* among other things.

Trond has also starred in various plays at other theaters, including Annie at *Bryggeteatret*, Kjøpmannen i Venezia at *Teatret Vårt*, Tolvskillingsoperaen at *Hålogaland Teater*, Sofies Verden at *Fornebu*, Guys and Dolls and Jul i Blåfjell at *Oslo Nye Teater*, MAMMA MIA, My fair lady and Phantom of the Opera at *Folketeatret*, Skjønnheten og Udyret at *Christiania Teater* and last but not least played the role of Marius in Les Misérables in Karlstad and Malmö.

He has also lent his voice to countless cartoon characters; Disney's Aladdin, Captain Shang in Mulan, Beymax in Big Hero 6, Marvel's Iron-Man and SpongeBob to name a few. Trond has appeared on several recordings and released the solo album Distant Shores in 2005.
