Madoka's classmate who, after helping Madoka rescue Kyuubey, ends up getting an offer to become a Puella Magi herself. She cares deeply for her friends, and wants to help an ill boy named Kyousuke Kamijou, whom she has a crush on. Before becoming a Puella Magi, Sayaka wields a baseball bat that Mami can enhance with magic to defend herself with while on witch hunts.

~!In order to cure Kyosuke's hand, which was damaged in an accident which robbed him of his ability to play the violin, she becomes a Puella Magi. Sayaka's weapon of choice is a sword. She also has regenerative powers stronger than anyone else due to the nature of her wish. Sayaka hates people who think only of themselves whilst hurting others and is easily provoked into a fight. After learning how Puella Magi are created, Sayaka starts to descend into despair, as she believes she's now no better than a zombie and thus cannot openly admit her love for Kyousuke. Her state of mind only worsens as one of her two best friends, Hitomi, confesses that she has feelings for Kyousuke too and makes advances on him. At the same time, she also refuses to purify her Soul Gem with Grief Seeds and neglects it to become tainted. At the end of episode 8, her Soul Gem was finally exhausted, and Sayaka turns into the witch Oktavia von Seckendorff. She dies in a battle with Sakura Kyouko, who sacrifices herself in order to not let Sayaka die alone. In episode 10, it's revealed that during Akemi Homura's third time loop, Sayaka also suffered the same fate of turning into a witch, and was killed by Homura with an explosive.!~

Sayaka's design is prominently blue, which makes her appear heroic and 'just', further reinforced by her wearing a white cape, symbolic for goodness and purity. Aside from her color scheme conveying her being a hero who fights for justice, it also foreshadows ~!her eventual melancholic downfall.!~ Sayaka also noticeably differs from the rest of the cast with her short hair. Again amplified with traditionally male aspects of her design, Sayaka is a tomboy. She would, for instance, bring a baseball bat on the girls' first hunt, whereas the traditionally feminine Madoka brought a notebook. 

Sayaka has tareme eyes, symbolizing fragility and sadness. Although this might look like it contradicts Sayaka's personality, it foreshadows ~!her losing her belief of fighting selflessly in the name of justice and starts falling into despair.!~

Benitsubasa is also known as the 'Crimson (Red) Sekirei', she is a 'third generation' member of the MBI Disciplinary Squad. She is a hand-to-hand fighter, similar to Musubi, with a habit of sticking her tongue out while fighting. She has a split personality: that of a gentle, mysterious highschool girl with a slow talking pattern, and that of a psychopathic killer. She is very aggressive in her actions which makes it harder for Shidou to capture her.   ~!Kurumi has the archangel Zafkiel, and has the power to control over time. The reason why she keeps appearing after being killed by Mana countless times was because of her powers. For example, she can heal herself by turning back the time. She uses a gunblade as her weapon.  Though she always keeps getting killed by Mana, Kurumi from a different time period appeared and was considered as the most deadly of all took down Mana, Tohka, and Origami at near end of volume 3. It is said that her ultimate goal is to get the powers of the spirit inside Shidou to kill the very first spirit who appeared 30 years ago to make all spirits disappear from this world. Her angel is destroyed by Kotori in volume 4.!~   ~!The twelve Roman numerals on the clock in her left eye have different powers that only the original Kurumi can use, but by using their powers, it will cause her life to be eaten away. In order to avoid this, she kills people to obtain 'time'.!~

Masumi Sera is a self-proclaimed high school detective and practitioner of the martial art Jeet Kune Do. After making a mostly correct deduction during a murder case (it is hinted that she made a mistake on purpose), she transfers to Ran's high school class. She seems to know that Conan is a detective.  Sera can fight at either the same or better level as Ran. She transfers to Ran and Sonoko's class at Teitan High. Since three years ago, she'd been living in America with her parents. She claims she'd rather live in Japan where she was born and raised, so she came to Tokyo and is currently living in a hotel.   ~!Sera is the younger sister of Shuuichi Akai!~

Setsuna is a Shinmeiryu swordswoman from Kyoto who was taken in by Eishun Konoe, Konoka's father and the leader of the Kyoto Mage Association. She is childhood friends with Konoka and her protector.  Setsuna spends the beginning of the series being relatively cold to Konoka, wishing to protect her from the shadows due to not forgiving herself for being unable to save Konoka when she almost drowned when they were kids. She does eventually open up to Konoka after the Kyoto arc and begins calling her "Oujo-sama" and "Kono-chan".  Setsuna's pactio, Sica Shishikushiro is a wakizashi which she can summon and multiply at will to strike targets like missiles. Due to her training she's also skilled in anti-demon arts and is the one who taught Negi how to create shikigami from paper.  Setsuna is a hanyou like Koutaro, in particular a crow. She was expelled from her people because white wings are considered a bad omen, and it was implied by Evangeline that she is an albino using hair dye and contact lenses to appear human.  A running gag within the series is that Setsuna and Konoka appear to have romantic feelings for one another, yet Setsuna will deny it whenever she and Konoka are stumbled upon in romantic situations or asked about her preference.

In the original manga, Briareos was a cyborg before Deunan arrived at Olympus, and she managed to lose an eye in Volume 4, due to a training accident. The daughter of Carl and Dr. Gilliam Knute, Deunan, who is considered as a highly skilled warrior, has spent almost her entire life fighting in a war that was, for the most part, over. Sister Ivry is a machine part of the Four Shining Stars. Her power, Heal Atomizer, is a Healing Ether ability that allows her to mend wounds, undo negative status effects, and repair living machines. Sister is short tempered, enjoys teasing, and has a laid-back attitude, but she is also dutiful and can be friendly to her allies. She has a sadistic side and enjoys torture. She dislikes things that can't be healed.

Sister is shown to be someone who cannot accept death as a finality for machines, going as far to believe machines can be brought back by using the cloud's stored data.

Megu is a sickly girl (she has congenital heart disease in the anime, but the disease is not specified in the manga) who is Suigintou's medium. She lives in a hospital room, under constant care from nurses. Megu has a very bleak outlook on life and often prays for an "Angel of Death" to take her away. She sees herself as a burden upon her parents, who she claims are "guilty" of having her. She initially believes that Suigintou is the "Angel of Death" she has hoped for and requests that Suigintou kill her by draining away her energy. Despite her apathy (and, at times, contempt) towards life in general, she is quite needy, and increasingly desires Suigintou's company, even throwing tantrums when Suigintou is away. Megu's blatant disrespect towards her father is shocking to Suigintou, who would never consider such an attitude toward her own "Father."
