The fifteen-year-old protagonist of the story, Rin is the son of Satan born from a human woman and is the inheritor of Satan's powers. His powers were sealed at birth into the demon-slaying blade Kurikara, or Koumaken, by Mephisto Pheles, allowing him to live a normal human life for about 15 years.

Known as Ikki (イッキ?) by his friends, and also known as Babyface, is a free spirited AT rider that has a natural affiliation for being in the sky. He is introduced to ATs by Noyamano family, whom he lives with due to his parents' deaths. He eventually forms Kogarasumaru, and takes on the Trophaeum. Ikki is often characterized as a crow due to a small crow, Kū, using his hair as a nest.  Ikki is able to see the Wing Road, and his peers often consider him to be the best candidate to become the next Sky King. He possesses two passive traits known as Hawk Eye and Trick Pass, which allow him to easily survey an area and utilize any part of it. Both are considered attributes necessary for a candidate to be Sky King. 

He trains under Sora to better utilize the wind, and he eventually obtains the incomplete Wind Regalia. He is able to use it to move quickly and fly, though he is unable to properly use its destructive power. The regalia is stolen by Sora and Nike, who are revealed to be antagonists harboring a grudge against Sleeping Forest. This leaves Ikki despondent and depressed, until Kazu reveals a message left behind by Spitfire after his death. Spitfire questions if Ikki has really "lost his wings," which leads to Ikki to be proclaimed the "Storm King of the Hurricane Road" by his Principal in Chapter 169. His tuner, Kururu Sumeragi, promises that she will complete a new regalia for him. Recently, the Gram Scale Tournament has begun, but it was revealed that Ikki failed to submit the final registration. It is later revealed that Kazu has found a way to gain them entry into the Grand Scale Tournament by challenging Falco, the former Fang King and a member of the original Sleeping Forest. 

After defeating Falco's team, which was in fact a computerized version of the first Sleeping Forest, Kogarasumaru was awarded Falco's "eternal seed" and entered the Gram Scale Tournament.  Ikki is a very upbeat, zany person, who seemingly is as eccentric as just about everyone else in the universe of Air Gear. He delights in eating meat, a privilege he is often deprived of in the Noyamano household by his sisters. He is rash, impulsive, and determined to do everything his way, whether for good or bad. In battle he either comes off as his odinary crazy and unpredictable personality, or his more serious, cold and steely side, which other characters has described as a rare occurrence, and as an intimidating scene. Ikki is totally hooked onto Air Trekking. He treats his ATs with care to such a standard that even his sisters feel jealous of, and his mind is constantly on Air Trekking; for example, during the Kyoto trip he fails to notice Ringo's affection initially, deadset on figuring out a 'Windmill Theory' that another Storm Rider has revealed to him as the secret behind the Rumble King. Ikki is a self-proclaimed genius and very proud of himself, in particular his fighting abilities. In truth he works very hard behind the other's back, as is revealed when Kuu brings his friends to his secret training area, where the scars left over by his training could be seen in chapter 87.

Though his attitude can be described as a lowlife, suitable for his gangster-like persona, and though he likes to go around doing insanely foolish things all the time, Ikki has a tendency to think beyond others' perceivable concept and at several intervals can spout deep philosophy that more often than not will impact others. One such incident was the Pomtemkin brothers' battle, where Ikki's plan caused an initial falling out among the Kogarasumaru, where in fact he had his own solution around that matter. Ikki, though easy to miss the obvious, can be very adept when it comes to spotting small details. In their first Parts War, he alone had noticed that Kazu's ATs were the most worn out among them, a mark of how much he practiced.  He is noticed to be developing a new skill, as Kururu noticed that his AT was worn out. The day came for the Sleeping Forest and the Genesis to fight, Ringo went to the place where Ikki and his gang stayed and revealed her true feelings for Ikki while dressed as Croissant Mask. He was shocked and realizes that he is an idiot for not noticing Ringo's love. Ikki thinks deeply and even in their battle he can't concentrate and then he realizes that Ringo was always there for him. In recent chapters, it's revealed that the trick Ikki was developing was called "Null Wind". It combines the power of all the major riders of Kogarasumaru and creates a storm of wind around Ikki, that stops all wing road riders tricks. With this, Ikki is able to win his battle against Sleipnir.

Kakeru&#039;s classmate and friend. He was nick-named Gigolo by Kakeru but he was far from being a ladies&#039; man. He is often forgotten by his friends due to his lack of Existence. He&#039;s also got crush for Yurika Kochikaze but always ends up not being able to tell her or being ignored. But, he is a reliable person at times of need, always ready to help his friend.

Arata Hinohara is a shy, quite person who doesn’t like to stand out and tends to not have much self confidence, is athletic, and he also sticks to his morals as to what is right and wrong and he will stand up to someone who is getting hurt because of him. He is also from present day Japan, and ran track in middle school. His name Arata uses the kanji used in revolution.  Arata Hinohara is first introduced in chapter 2 of volume 1 getting ready for school and he is looking forward to the fact that he gets to start fresh in high school due to being bullied in middle school. On his way to school he catches a pervert in the act, and as he flees, Arata chases him down and tackles him until the police arrive. Because of that incident he meets his first friend in high school by the name Suguru Nishijima. He also becomes popular in school until Masato Kadowaki comes to his first day of class due to a broken leg and being hospitalized. He is then made fun of by Masato (who doesn’t like him due to the fact that he slowed down during track training to let Masato win as he might not have been able to compete in the next meet) and the rest of the school. Later his desk gets covered in glue and he finds out that he is betrayed by his best friend Suguru.  After being made fun of and after school is over he wishes to disappear so that everyone can be happy. He loses all trust in people by saying it is pointless to trust people as they only betray you. As he is walking around he hears a voice call for him in an alley, and as he enters the alley everything becomes black. Although he finds that he is no longer in Japan, but rather a new world that is known as Amawakuni (he finds that out a little later).  In Amawakuni he meets Kotoha who was worried about Arata. He is confused at what is going on and when Kannagi searches his “house” he comes across a rusted sword and activates its power and becomes a Sho. The sword is known as a Hayagami, or god, and its name is Goshintai. His Hayagami has the power of the wind.  Kotoha tells him that she will be there for him, and later finds out that he doesn’t have the stone (michihi no tama) that the princess game to him, so she gives him hers. He later gets arrested and as he is in a holding cell he talks to Arata by the power of the stone. He finds out that Kannagi was behind the murder of the princess and that Arata was framed for it. During his trail he is exiled to Gatoya Island (it’s known for being the same as hell). On the trip to the island Kotoha tags along and gives him his Hayagami. Also because of the stones power he is able to talk to the princess (who is just barely alive) and she asks him to govern the world as other wise there will only be war and blood shed.  On the island he meets Kanate and Ginchi who try to steal everything he has as well as kotoha. He trades the people everyday items form Japan (no one has seen anything like that before) for information, and later finds out that Gatoya Island is like a man eating island and that it is controlled by a Sho named Tsutsuga. After facing Tsutsuga in a fight he is given Warden’s power and returns the island back to normal. He later escapes with his new friends Kanate and Ginchi as well as Kotoha on a ship back to the main land to as he starts his journey on restoring order and saving the princess. A high school sophomore who is also a young swordsman and has moved away from his mountain life to live with the Ikaruga family in the city. He is a very active person who actively enjoys martial arts with swordsmanship in particular. Due to his early childhood in the mountains with his father, he does not know the current customs in Japan or to act around a girl. He is very honourable, which is shown when he addresses everyone with the -dono honorific. However, due to constant misunderstandings, Ibuki, in particular, constantly attacks him under the assumption that he had done something perverted. He is usually seen wearing a Japanese martial arts uniform and a wooden sword. He is a freeloader at Ikaruga Dojo and is a student of the Ukiha Kamikaze Swordplay (Soaring Wind, Divine Wind Style). He attends the private school Yoku-Ryou Gakuen with Ibuki and Ayame, and he's in the same class as Ibuki and Washizu. He recently was forced to join the Acting Club, and was initially paired with Ibuki to play the main hero and heroine of a love-play. But Ayame took over Ibuki's role afterwards, so she could get closer to Yoichi. He always gets nosebleeds after doing or seeing something perverted, usually the latter. Genji proposes to not have the mistake of Hiromi Nakabayashi repeat and to not underestimate the students of class 2-F after they challenged his class. He believes he has anticipated accurately their tactics and has already identified a weak point: while the battle rages, he will have his students behind sneak into enemy lines and ambush the seemingly defenseless class president Yuuji with a direct attack, which according to his information, the very worst marks that 2-F has. Eiji Nizuma is a high school genius mangaka who has been drawing ever since he was young. Moritaka Mashiro and Akito Takagi consider him their rival. He was supposed to serialize a manga called Yellow Hit but he wanted to draw a different manga, Crow, which appeared in Akamaru Jump instead. His assisants were initially Nakai and Fukuda (Mashiro also worked for him temporarily before Detective Trap was serialized). His editor is Hattori Yujiro. He once demanded to be allowed to end one series he hated if he ever made it as the most popular author in Jump.   Niizuma is slightly naive, but can also be serious and calculating when he wants to. Eiji tends to act conceited because he is hailed as a genius; however, after working on Crow for quite a long time, he grew more humble, even claiming to not be "good enough of a Mangaka to be judging other people's work" when asked by his editor to judge for the Golden Future Cup. (He judges anyway, but is not very helpful, only expressing his interest in Ashirogi and Ryu Shizuka). He tends to make noises and sound effects when drawing or writing his manga. Eiji is constantly chastised by his editor, and at first seems to be rather oblivious towards his rivals' feelings towards him, even expressing great excitement when he meets Ashirogi Muto and saying he is their fan. He is a great lover of manga and his opinion are valued by everyone at Jump, including his rivals. He refers to himself as an "Eternal Boy" and that is why he writes Shonen manga. He has only ever had a crush on one girl, back in elementary school, which paired with his naivet'e most likely explains his lack of success in the Super Leaders' Love Fest. 

Age: 16  Birthday: February 5    The only first-year student of Saint Ishiyama to become a member of the Six Knights. He is the captain of the Karate team and a master of Hakkyokuken, as well as an advanced practitioner of the fictional Izuma-style martial arts. Miki knows Oga from middle school, where Oga (intentionally or not) saved Miki from a group of high school delinquents. Wanting to become stronger, he started to hang around Oga, but later realized that this would not make him any stronger, because no matter what kind of fight he was dragged into, Oga Tatsumi took care of everything. However, when they meet again at St. Ishiyama, he appears to hold deep feelings of contempt towards Oga and to be obsessed with proving to his former classmate how strong he has become.

Pack leader of the Hounds and member of the kendo club. He tries to get Yō and Hana to join the Hounds, a group of ben-to brawlers who work flawlessly as a team.

Narunosuke was a friendly and bashful Zanpakutou. He belonged to a cowardly Shinigami, and that trait was passed on to him as well. When the Gotei 13 began hunting the Toju, he had to join a group of Toju to find safety in numbers, but he kept his sanity, unlike his comrades.

Previously a Heavens-Blade wielder, a title given only to the twelve most capable fighters of the Lance Shelled City of Glendan, Layfon transferred to the Academy City of Zuellni in hopes of leaving his violent past behind.The main protagonist of the series. In the novel, he is described as having tea-colored hair and blue eyes. He was one of the twelve wielders of the Heaven Blades and also held the title of Wolfstein at the age of ten.  He and Leerin were found by Derek during their early childhood and taken to the orphanage in Grendan. Due to Derek's inability to earn enough money (because of his old age and the fact that he had retired from the battlefront), Layfon decided to earn money fighting in matches in order to provide for themselves and the other orphans. He began to participate in illegal underground matches to earn even more money for the orphanage. 

The protagonist/antihero. Ogami Rei is a mysterious young boy about whom not much is known. Sakura first witnesses him burning people with a blue flame in a park; the day later he transfers to her school. When Sakura confronts him about his killings, Ogami reveals to her that he's in fact a "Code:Breaker", a secret government agent who punishes those who can't be punish by the law. His code number is 06, meaning he's the weakest member of the Code:Breakers.

He believes strongly in the idea behind the Code of Hammurabi, often citing the quote  "Eye for eye (目には目を, Me ni wa me wo), Tooth for tooth (歯には歯を, Ha ni wa ha wo)" and adding on "EVIL for EVIL (悪には悪を, Aku ni wa aku wo)  Externally, Ogami is an aloof, uncaring person who is whole-heartedly dedicated to punishing evils and cares for not much else, but Sakura gets closer to him she realizes that his actions often belies his cruel words. Ogami's power lies in his left arm, which burns anything he touches with a blue flame.

~!It's later revealed that this blue flame is only a part of a set of seven flames, named after seven demons, which are said to "incinerate the seven deadly sins". In return for these powers, Ogami has to give up something as compensation. So far, the revealed flames are: - Blue flame - Satan - the flame Ogami uses most often. It can incinerates everything Ogami touches. Ogami sacrifices his sense of taste for the use of this flame. - Black flame - Belphegor a.k.a the blaze of limbo - a flame which can burn any special power "tainted with the seven deadly sins". The Code:Emperor takes the power of "Sound" Yuuki partly transfers to Ogami as payment for this flame. When Ogami overexerted his special power, his Lost form results in a severe cold. However, it's later revealed that Ogami's true Lost form is invisibility.!~

Daichi is in the same class as Hibiki and a close friend. When things turn for the worse, Daichi’s cheerful personality supports Hibiki. Daichi is a deep thinker, often examining the social implications and morality of a situation farther than the other characters. Even though he seems spineless, he tends to cast away his cowardice in the blink of an eye when he is faced with extreme adversity. Unfortunately, his low self confidence limits him achieving even greater heights. He seems to do poorly in school, and to be forgetful at times; Forgetting his exam slip and cell phone at his seat at the beginning of the game. 

Goes to school with Kida and Mikado and is a member of the Dollars gang. He is thought to be a bit of a rebel, but actually spends most of his time alone, composing music on his harmonica.      ~!He is a victim of violence at the hands of a group of people from the Yellow scarves, headed by Horada. In the scuffle, his arm and Harmonica is broken. He claims to quit Dollars after this incident, but instead stays around and ends up helping Anri escape from Horada later on.!~

A Caucasian Catholic priest from Australia who learned to speak Japanese with a Kansai accent, thus giving his sentences a rather odd, humorous structure. Good-natured and helpful, he helps Mai and Naru however he can. His means of exorcism is spraying holy water while reciting the first passage of John from the New Testament of the Bible. In most arcs SPR relies on John's exorcisms whenever a human being is possessed by a spirit. In the Cursed House arc, it is revealed that John's exorcisms, unlike Houshou's Buddhist Mantras or Ayako's Shinto Kuji, do not cause physical harm when used on a possessed living creature. A mass murderer and infamous terrorist responsible for the "Sky Tree Bombing". He was previously held at GHQ Isolation Facility Four before being rescued by Shu and the Undertakers. His Void is a Gravity gun.   ~!He is first seen in the Isolation Facility as one of the most dangerous and most guarded prisoners. After being rescued by Shu in episode 4, he joins the Undertakers in different missions. Such as the one the destroy the Leukocyte, in which he explains it's mechanisms and the plan to get rid of it. He goes on the mission because his Void was necessary in the plan. He is also seen witnessing Shu take out Souta's Void, teasing him along with the rest of the group, who heard him say, "Inori is my..."!~

A soldier of Stafolos Keep under the rule of Vanon. He is the son of an innkeeper.  He helps Guin in his fight against the Gray Ape by throwing his sword to him.
