Inori Yuzuriha is one of the main protagonists of the anime Guilty Crown and a member of the resistance guerrilla group called "Funeral Parlor".  She is also the voice of the internet artist Egoist who sings to release her emotions.  Inori is a very soft, quiet, and sweet girl, who is also very determined to complete her missions successfully and without fail (shown when she was threatened but didn’t show any sign of fear, even when she was about to be killed). She also seems to think she’s a burden to others but tries to protect the people close to her.   She usually comforts Shu and gives him words of strength when she can tell he’s feeling weak and helpless. Gai is dear to Inori, and she tells Shu that he is the one that gave her a name and a world, when no one else has.  As a member of Funeral Parlor, Inori is extremely skilled in forms of combat such as hand-to-hand fighting and marksmanship, to the point where she is able to outmatch and kill several soldiers of the GHQ forces by herself.   

Shuu's entire world was shattered after a meteorite crashed into Japan, unleashing the lethal Apocalypse Virus. The chaos and anarchy born of the outbreak cost Shuu his family and reduced him to a timid, fearful shell of the boy he'd once been. His life took another unexpected turn after a chance encounter with the stunning pop star, Inori. This mysterious beauty introduced Shuu to the King's Right Hand: a genetic mutation that allows him to reach into hearts of mortals and turn them into weapons. 
 
Shuu finds himself caught in the crossfire between those who desperately seek his newfound strength. On one side lurks a clandestine government agency, and on the other, Inori and the spirited band of rebels known as Funeral Parlor. The choice is Shuu's to make - and the world is his to change.

Ai Kayano is a Japanese voice actress and vocalist currently affiliated with Office Osawa.

__Biography:__
Kayano wanted to work in a job that would involve "healing people", leading to initially take up a course at a vocational school. She worked in the beauty industry and became interested in acting after having seen [Aria](https://anilist.co/anime/477/). While attending school, Kayano continued working in the industry and paid for her tuition.

Kayano began working at Pro-Fit in 2010, voicing two supporting characters in the original video animation [Princess Resurrection](https://anilist.co/anime/9159/). In 2011, she voiced [Meiko "Menma" Honma](https://anilist.co/character/40592/) in [Anohana](https://anilist.co/anime/9989/) and received the Best Rookie Actress award for said role at the 6th Seiyuu Awards. Kayano, [Haruka Tomatsu](https://anilist.co/staff/95890/) and [Saori Hayami](https://anilist.co/staff/95869/) performed the series' ending theme "Secret Base – Kimi ga Kureta Mono (10 years after Ver.)", a cover of a song originally sung by the band Zone.

She is often praised for her vocal range, having voiced a variety of characters such as [Mayaka Ibara](https://anilist.co/character/55137/), [Mashiro Shiina](https://anilist.co/character/61371/), [Darkness](https://anilist.co/character/89363/) and [Akari Kawamoto](https://anilist.co/character/24311/) for example, none of which one would connect to the same voice actress.

Guilty Crown is set in 2039 and revolves around Shu Ouma, a boy who has acquired an ability called the "power of kings" that allows him to draw out weapons from another person. He joins a resistance group named "Undertaker" which aims to restore Japan's independence from an international organization known as the GHQ.


The Everlasting Guilty Crown is the second single by the music group EGOIST and is used as the second opening theme song of Guilty Crown. The limited edition release includes a DVD with a music video of the song's TV edit, animated in 3D CGI.
