A 1st Class SOLDIER in the making with a simple yet passionate dream of becoming a hero. Zack Fair is a talented yet stubborn young man, always bringing a positive energy and charisma with him wherever he goes. He is a very enthusiastic young man who will take any mission head on without fear to prove his worth to the Shinra company. He is also very popular among the women in Midgar, even to the point of having his own fan club.  Zack left his home town of Gongaga at the age of fourteen to join the Shinra Electric Power Company's military forces. He was promoted to SOLDIER 2nd Class sometime in the next two years.

~!Unlike some SOLDIER members he has a 1st Class mentor, Angeal. During the war against Wutai, Angeal vanished and later returned as Zack's enemy. Zack was eventually promoted to 1st Class at the age of only eighteen. He was the first and only SOLDIER to make 1st class without the aid of Jenova Cells, this feat speaking a lot of his natural talent.  However, soon after this promotion, Zack was forced to kill his mentor and close friend Angeal after the latter turned into a monster.  Angeal hands the Buster sword to Zack in his dying moments and encourages him to carry on both their Dreams and Honour. Zack's signature X-shaped scar on his cheek was given to him by Angeal in their battle.  Sometime during his SOLDIER 2nd class days, Zack meets a girl named Aerith and they fall in love. Although Duty and Antagonists get in the way of their relationship, Zack and Aerith often kept in contact through phone. Even after Zack went missing for four years in Nibelheim, Aerith continued to write him letters. She sent a total of 89 letters within that time before she had finally given up. The ribbon that Aerith is always seen wearing in her hair was gifted by Zack during a date.!~

~!Unfortunately, Zack dies at the age of 23 while protecting Cloud Strife from the Shinra Corporation on their way back to Midgar. Zack's final stand was against the entirety of Shinra's infantrymen. He defeats all but three men before finally exhausting his Stamina after pushing far beyond his limits. He is shot through the body and face with an unimaginable amount of bullets. In his final moments, he hands down the famous Buster Sword to Cloud, just as Angeal had done with him. He encourages Cloud to be his "Living Legacy" and to live for the both of them, to carry his dreams and honour on for him. Parting the world with a smile, his final words were "say hi to Aerith for me", and "hey, would you say I became a hero?".!~

Two years after the end of Final Fantasy VII the world is starting to get back on it's feet and is working towards a new future. However, there is a new threat from a new illness called Geo-stigma, and three men that seem to be seeking Jenova. Cloud and his friends from the orginal game must once again reunite to combat the new threat.

He left Artvision in 2012 and has found his own talent agency INTENTION. He is part of the voice actor unit STA☆MEN, alongside Junichi Suwabe, Daisuke Kishio, Hiroki Takahashi, Hiroyuki Yoshino, Makoto Yasumura, and Kousuke Toriumi. They performed the ending theme for the Tokusatsu drama "Go Busters" of the Super Sentai Series and released it as their third single. He's also part of CONNECT, first unit of Kiramune, with Mitsuo Iwata. They released three mini-albums and a single. As a solo artist, he has released 13 singles, 3 albums and 2 mini-albums.

Gomez was born in Bayonne, New Jersey, the first son in his family, born on father Rick Sr.'s birthday. In 1987, he moved with his family to South Plainfield, New Jersey, where Gomez attended school. Upon graduation from South Plainfield High School, Gomez moved to New York City to pursue acting.    Following a small role in feature film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, he landed the recurring role of "Endless Mike", a quietly crazed, melodramatic high school student in the surreal children's series The Adventures of Pete and Pete, filmed in New Jersey. His highly original performance was singled out for praise by series creators Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi on the series' DVD audio commentary.    Gomez went on to appear in small roles in many TV series, telefilms and feature films. (See Filmography, below). Additionally, he co-wrote, with director Damon Santostefano, and starred in the documentary-like feature — or possibly dramatized documentary — Last Man Running (unreleased; made 2003), which also starred wife Jenifer Wymore-Gomez, brother Joshua Gomez, and other New York City film professionals as themselves; it was screened at the Phoenix Film Festival and possibly elsewhere. Gomez was previously executive producer of A Waiter Tomorrow (1998), directed and co-written by Korean-American filmmaker Michael Kang (who appears as himself in Last Man Running).    Gomez is also an established voice actor whose credits include the video game Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, the character Gippal in the English dub of Final Fantasy X-2, the character of Zack in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and a minor role as the voice of a pilot in The Animatrix. After the destruction of Nibelheim at the hands of Sephiroth, Zack and Cloud are on the run from Shinra Inc. As they make their way back to Midgar, they recall the horrible events that happened at Nibelheim, as well as fight for survival against Shinra.

AC: Complete contains a considerable amount of new footage that the original version lacks, as well as roughly a thousand revised scenes. This adds a total of 26 minutes to the film. 
Some of the new scenes include a more in-depth look at the Geostigma, Denzel and Kadaj's origins, as well as an extended fight between Cloud and Sephiroth. 
The Japanese release of this edition features a new ending track from Kyosuke Himuro called "Safe and Sound", with additional lyrics from My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way. The track replaces Himuro's previous track "Calling" from the original cut of the film. However, in the North American release, the song "Calling" remains, and "Safe and Sound" is absent.
