Tokyo Babylon: Hokuto is Subaru's twin sister. She is constantly teasing her brother about his relationship with Seishirou, and always has some crack about a wedding, which Seishirou always joins in on. She has an eye for fashion, and makes the most elaborate costumes.

Her name, Hokuto (北斗), is the Japanese name for the constellation Ursa Major, whose brightest seven stars form the Big Dipper (Hokuto shichisei); it complements her brother's name, Subaru being the Japanese name for the Pleiades star cluster (whose brightest stars resemble a smaller version of the Big Dipper).

His destiny has finally arrived as the young Shirou Kamui returns to Tokyo after 6 years. A powerful psychic, Kamui vows to protect the happiness of his childhood friends Fuuma and Kotori, even if it means avoiding them. But fate is cruel, whether or not Kamui wants to be involved; he holds the future of the world in his hands, given the choice of becoming a Dragon of Heaven or a Dragon of Earth. The Seven Seals gather, and so do the Seven Angels; all individuals who have their destiny carved out as one who would battle for the fate of the world. What future will Kamui choose to become reality?

Subaru Sumeragi is the 13th head of the Sumeragi Clan and a most powerful onmyouji. Subaru is hired to exorcise a construction site, but his employer mysteriously died. The only suspect is a man who repeatedly walks away from situations in which he should have died. Then Subaru meets a young woman intent upon cursing the man, saying that he killed her brother. Subaru must figure out how his employer died and fight the evil spirits that are protecting the man with the help of his friend and twin sister, Seishirou Sakurazuka and Hokuto Sumeragi.

Subaru Sumeragi is a 16 year old, cheerful and extremely caring Onmyou medium (the head of his family, the Sumeragi clan) who confronts and helps take care of ghosts and spirits with the help of his twin sister, Hokuto, and his gentleman friend, Seishiro. Subaru does his best to help anyone he meets, but the entire atmosphere of the polluted city of Tokyo in the 90s, brings about a feeling of desperation that threatens to drag Subaru's spirit down.

She is admired by many of her fellow actors and fans because of the fact that she has a great amount of power and strength in her singing voice, which surprises many fans due to her regularly petite stature. She was also the winner of the "Best Musical Performance" award in the first Seiyuu Awards. She was also part of the quartet Prits alongside Yumiko Kobayashi, Natsuko Kuwatani, and Hisayo Mochizuki (all four voiced characters in the anime _Sister Princess_). Her singing style comes from singing Enka since she was young.

In July 2020, she married someone from the music industry, and they had their first child on March 16, 2021.
