Okuyasu isn't exactly the brightest character in the Jojo story, and tended to rely on his elder brother Keicho to make hard decisions. After his brother died, he sought revenge against the User of Red Hot Chili Pepper, Akira Otoishi. During this time and the following events surrounding Yoshikage Kira, he became fast friends with Josuke and Koichi. 

Okuyasu tends to be jealous of Koichi's relationship with Yukako, and enjoys Tonio's cooking. He also befriends Shigechi, after doing battle with his Harvest with Josuke. 

~!This friendship is why he became further enraged when Shigechi was killed by Yoshikage Kira. !~

~!Okuyasu's father is a bizarre creature, mutated by Dio's spores when Okuyasu was only 7. He rather dislikes Rohan because of what Rohan tried to do to him when they first met.!~

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Diamond wa Kudakenai adapts the fourth part of the JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken manga series. 
 
It's the year 1999, 11 years after Jotaro Kujo's desperate fight against DIO in Egypt. Jotaro meets with Josuke Higashikata, the illegitimate son of his grandfather Joseph Joestar. He discovers that Josuke also has the same "Stand" power and that a new threat is surfacing in Morioh City.

As Rohan, a young Japanese manga artist, is drawing, he meets a mysterious, beautiful woman who tells him of a cursed 200-year-old painting. The painting was created using the blackest ink ever known, which came from a 1,000-year-old tree that the painter had cut down without the approval of the Emperor. The painter was executed for this, but the painting was saved from destruction by a curator of the Louvre. A decade later, Rohan visits Paris and asks the museum to unearth the painting from deep within its archives&mdash;but he is completely unprepared for the power of the curse he has unleashed.

The novel is about a normal day in Morioh, from the point of view of a new character named Takuma Hasumi. His stand is called The Book, has the appearance of a normal book, and possesses the power to record everything he sees or feels. Josuke and the rest of the Part IV heroes appear as antagonists. 
The story takes place in Morioh, in the year 2000. Three days before the end of winter break. Koichi and Rohan find a blood-stained cat outside a convenience store. They go searching for the cat's owner, and find a woman's strange-looking corpse inside the house. By using Heaven's Door, they find a clue: "a male student with red scratch marks under his arm." Over the span of 3 months, the curtain opens on this incident.
