Pilar is an edgerunner of Night City, and is described as a comical and crude techie. He and his sister, Rebecca, often team up with Maine and his crew to conduct mercenary jobs.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.

The comic portrays not only the comical and energetic actions of the siblings but also the compelling and finely woven story that sheds light on the sibling's dreams and upbringing, which were not explored in the anime series.
