Rafal is a child prodigy who at the age of twelve was planning to advance to college and major in theology. One day, he meets Hubert and is fascinated by the beauty of the heliocentric theory.

In the fifteenth century, claiming that the Earth revolves around the sun was a heresy that could get believers burned at the stake. Child prodigy Rafal is introduced to the truth about the universe by his mentor, and then must flee when the Inquisition comes to mete out "God's justice." With only a peculiar pendant to guide him, will Rafal discover his master's research, and can he and other believers set the world alight?

The protagonist, Rafał, a child prodigy, is expected to major in theology, the most important subject at the time, at the university where he plans to skip a grade. One day, however, he comes across a mysterious man, and is now studying a possible "truth" in the midst of heretical thought!
