Souichirou Yagami is Light's father and the leader of the remains of his investigation team under L's command. He is a kind man with a strong sense of justice. He cares greatly for his family and the members of the Japanese Task Force. He is a serious and responsible man that gains the respect of many. He has a strong sense of duty, and even after the police stop funding the Kira investigation he continues trying to solve the case with the Task Force. 

Light Yagami is a genius high school student who is about to learn about life through a book of death. When a bored shinigami, a God of Death, named Ryuk drops a black notepad called a Death Note, Light receives power over life and death with the stroke of a pen. Determined to use this dark gift for the best, Light sets out to rid the world of evil… namely, the people he believes to be evil. Should anyone hold such power?

Naoya Uchida is a Japanese voice actor, actor, and singer. He has played several minor roles of authority in various television dramas. He debuted in 1972 in the NHK program Maboroshi no Satsui and continued acting in theater and television dramas until the late 1990s. Since then, he has refocused his career on vocal performances such as opera and dubbing. He is best known for his role as Madara Uchiha in Naruto, and coincidentally his last name is similar to the character's.

1. Genshisuru Kami (Visions of a God) 
A two hour episode of Death Note, mainly a compilation of the confrontations between Light and L, re-edited from Ryuk's perspective with new dialogue and soundtrack along with additional animation that could not be included in the original series. An Unnamed Shinigami comes to Ryuk to question him about his new story in the human world. 
2. Eru o Tsugu Mono (L's Successors) 
This story continues where the previous left off, continuing the story of Light. As the previous special told Light and L's battles, this story does the same with the conflicts between Light, Mello, and Near.
