The first member to join Kurata in the club. Kudou brings with him a reputation for fighting and delinquency, which initially makes others distrustful of him. However, underneath his rough exterior is a kind heart who wants to honor his deceased grandfather by playing the koto.

~!Prior to the start of the series, Chika was neglected by his father and was caused to live with his grandfather, Gen Kudo, instead. During these days, Chika would always get into fights and is infamous because of this. Despite this, Tetsuki Takaoka was close to him and would often come to Gen's house to check up on Chika. Through his grandfather's attempts, and also Tetsuki's reaching outs, Kudo starts to become mellow. Unfortunately, the bad crowd he was hanging out with disliked this and set Chika up by ransacking his grandfather's house where he crafts kotos that he is blamed for this by the neighbors and the police. Not long after this incident, Gen passed away due to a heart disease and it is revealed that Chika now lives with his paternal aunt, Isaki Kudo, after Gen's passing.!~

Since the graduation of the senior members of the club, Takezou ends up being the sole member of the "Koto" (traditional Japanese string instrument) club. Now that the new school year has begun, Takezou will have to seek out new members into the club, or the club will become terminated. Out of nowhere, a new member barges into the near-abandoned club room, demanding to join the club. How will Takezou be able to keep his club alive and deal with this rascal of a new member?

In the story, Takezou is the last remaining member of the koto club, a club dedicated to the traditional Japanese string instrument. If he doesn't find new members, the koto club will be terminated. One day, Takezou is alone in the club room when a student barges in and demands to join. The student is delinquent Chika Kudou, a guy who even scares delinquent upperclassmen at other schools.
