Junichi Tachibana is the lead male protagonist of the story. He has a hard time opening up to others due to trauma two years ago when his date stood him up on Christmas Eve, leaving him heartbroken. In the anime, he has acrophobia, which is referenced several times.

Teshigawara is the class' "mood maker".   He is usually superficial in nature. He is shown to have a sympathetic side, since he was the first one to talk to Kouichi, who was still not used to the surroundings. 

Kanejō&#039;s brother, who came from America (probably Harvard University). He is the object of every woman&#039;s infatuation, even a princess from a foreign country could not withstand his &quot;charm&quot;. He later returns, but has seemingly gained an interest in Yamada, much to Kyoka&#039;s chagrin, this most likely because she is so far the only woman that has not instantly fawned over him. He reveals he is a virgin, though unaware of the fact his sister uses her power to do so. At the end of the anime, he wished to lose his virginity to Yamada.

Decim is the bartender of Quindecim and also the arbiter of floor 15. 

His faction deals with people who have died at the same time. He can create threads and use them to restrict rude customers from moving, or use them to hang things. They are strong enough to stop a person in their tracks and swing them hard against the wall.

Dias is the leader of the Alabaster faction of Lost Millennium. While Dias seems friendly at first, his is actually extremely manipulative and cold hearted, such as tricking a group of Fractale refugees into removing their terminals and forcing them to join his faction, and gunning down one refugee when he attempts to flee. Dias joins Sunda to rescue Phryne and Clain from the Temple, but exploits the opportunity to destroy the facility instead.     ~!During the final confrontation between Lost Millennium and the Temple, Dias&#039;s troops sacrifice themselves to destroy the Temple. Like his foster brother Kobungo, Genpachi was sent on assignment in the north three years ago and returned a changed man. Now he transforms into a demon who preys on supernatural beings. He and Kobungo's sister Nui were lovers. His peony-flower birthmark is on his right cheek.

Ryuuzaki Ouji is a defender and one of the SEEDs of Teikoku. He seems to have a superiority complex about him and Teikoku believing that no one could defeat him until Matsukaze passed him with Soyokaze Step. As a member and one of the defenders of Teikoku, he played against Raimon in the Holy Road semi-finals. At Raimon's third attempt to perform their incomplete hissatsu tactic, Ultimate Thunder, Ryuuzaki quickly releases his Keshin, Ryukishi Tedis to block Kurama, thus preventing him from kicking the ball. Later he also uses his keshin to get past Shindou into which Shindou also used his keshin, Sousha Maestro but was easily get past by Ryuuzaki. 

A very nice, kind, and caring brother of Kyousuke. In the past he saved Kyousuke from crashing after falling down from a tree to get their soccer ball.   Even though he loves soccer, he still accepts the fact that his condition won't enable him to play. When he heard Kyousuke talked to Kuroki Zenzou about his surgery, he got mad at Kyousuke for "abandoning" the soccer that they both love.

A blunt, sarcastic young man working at the same kindergarten as Kobato. He is also Kobato's neighbor, living in the same complex under the ownership of Chitose. He has known Sayaka for many years and appears to have strong feelings for her, showing much concern over and being fiercely defensive of her. Upon first meeting Kobato, he is rather suspicious of the unusual girl, as he does not want Sayaka to be hurt by another person. He often pokes fun at and teases Kobato, which is unusual as he generally ignores people he does not like; as a result, Sayaka interprets his actions toward the girl as affection. Regardless of his initial distrust of Kobato, he has shown signs of warming up to her and now seems to care about her well being, demonstrated when once she pretended to have a cold to cover up for Ioryogi, and Fujimoto in response discreetly passed on a bag of cough drops to her. Kobato notes that he appears to be hiding some emotional pain of his own.   ~!As a child, Fujimoto was an orphan taken in by Sayaka's father and did not get along with his peers. He had been studying to become a lawyer, but stopped going to his college classes when it became apparent Sayaka's need for help had become increasingly desperate. He works at various part-time jobs throughout the day in order to help support the kindergarten, as he is attached to Sayaka and feels indebted to her family for taking care of him in his youth. !~

Naotsugu is a friend of Shiroe. He believes that every man is a pervert, either openly or secretly. Thus, he prides himself for being an "open pervert", freely sharing his perverted thoughts about women with everyone.

Gouta comes from a family with his father being a mage and his mother being a normal person. However his father kept him being a mage a secret from Gouta's mother. As a result, Gouta wasn't aware that he is a mage and never got any training from his parents when he was young. After she found about Gouta's father keeping him being a mage a secret from her she became enraged and moved back to her parents. She also offered Gouta to live with her, but he declined her offer.
Eventually he moves to Tokyo to become a mage, but doesn't have much faith in his abilities and also doesn't like that he is a mage so he initially struggles when performing magic and is not able to keep up with the other trainees. When he first came to Tokyo he was also involved in an accident, trying the save a little girl from a car crash but wasn't able to do anything and was only saved because Sora stopped the truck that was about to hit him.
~!Later Gouta and Sora start going out. When they finish their training and become certified mages Sora goes back to Biei while Gouta stays behind in Tokyo. They keep their relationship as a long distance relationship as a way to stay connected even though they are far apart. In the end Gouta visits Biei.!~

A perverted high school student. He hates his father believing him to be the reason his mother died. He wields a power known as "blood pointer" which allows him to drain "element" from the people around him through his mouth. He has periodically used this ability throughout the series without knowing it. After the battle with the Venus unit he has begun to undergo training to understand this power and use it. He is the childhood friend of Haruko Ayama.   His maken is known as "Overblow", which lets him cause his opponent's maken to gain incredible power and overflow with element causing it to go out of control and force the user to not be able to use it. However, when his opponent is able to contain the overflow of element or has perfect control over his maken, it would only provide his opponent greater power or even make the maken evolve into something greater. Pain is the recognized leader of Akatsuki, partnered to Konan, with Tobi acting as his benefactor. He is the principal figure in the tailed beast sealing ceremony.   ~!The first and leading "Pain" appearing in the series is actually Yahiko, one of six animated corpses collectively known as "The Six Paths of Pain" that are all controlled by one person's will[ch. 378, 419]: Nagato of Amegakure. At a young age, Nagato was secretly visited by Madara Uchiha who implanted his Rinnegan (lit. "Saṃsāra Eye") into the child's body, giving him the ability to use abilities based on the six Buddhist paths of reincarnation. Orphaned, Nagato met fellow orphans Konan and Yahiko before they are all trained by Jiraiya. Nagato desired peace for the world, aiding Yahiko to create the Akatsuki to achieve that shared dream. However, a trap laid by Amegakure's dictator Hanzo led to Yahiko's death, causing Nagato to take over as the new leader of the organization. Though the encounter crippled Nagato, the experience of having his best friend die caused Nagato to come to the realization that peace could only be attained by teaching the world the pain caused by war.  To that end he adopted the alias "Pain" to conquer Amegakure and invented the Six Path of Pain to overcome his handicap and kill Hanzo, becoming a "god" in the eyes of Amegakure's citizens. Having made cosmetically alterations to the other Paths by dying their hair to match Yahiko's, the Paths are all outfitted with a number of body piercings that serve as a means for Nagato to control them and to give them a "more dangerous" appearance in relation to their name's installation. Through Nagato's Rinnegan, they can also share visual information and coordinate attacks.  Jiraiya would later confront Nagato regarding his role as "Pain", the leader of Akatsuki. The two would fight with Nagato dismissing his former mentor's ideals as well as killing him. During Pain's attack on Konoha, the six Paths are defeated by Naruto. Talking with Naruto, Nagato renews his faith in his late master and in the possibility of peace. Nagato sacrifices his life in order to revive the people he killed in Konoha.[ch. 449] Nagato is later resurrected by Kabuto and sent alongside Itachi to battle Naruto and Killer Bee, but is sent back to the afterlife.!~

Yukina is a clerk in charge of the shoujo manga section at the bookstore, Marimo books. He's been aware of Kisa coming in to watch him, but when he finds out Kisa is the editor behind all of his favorite works he begins to develop feelings for him. He's willing to fight to make Kisa understand that what they feel for each other is real. And that Kisa is able to actually fall in love.  

Saku is the main protagonist for this story, who grew up traveling around Japan due to his father constantly changing jobs. Saku loves to read books and can often be seen reading, whether it be on the bus, at school, or at home. He generally likes to stay indoors and read, but after joining the astronomy club, he starts to enjoy going out and stargazing or participating in other club activities.
