Since the KOF '95 project began with the concept of introducing Iori as Kyo's rival, he became known as a character who was a member of a rival school of martial arts that had a connection to the Ancient Arts of the Kusanagi. He was also given the ability to use a different color of flames other than Kyo's (red flames), along with various other characteristics.   When you think of Iori Yagami, his intense personality most likely comes to mind.   His moves are unique, and his singular choice of hairstyle, wardrobe, and manner of speaking was certainly a personality that broke the mold for characters in fighting games at that time.   During the initial location tests to determine the popularity of the game, Iori was the character who stood out most. Gameru is a ninja who possesses one of Iou&#039;s prototype ninja tools, Dako. Him along with Kusune came to Iou to get ninja tools but he refused to give some to outsiders. Gameru and Kusune fight Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyūga who are no match against Iou&#039;s ninja tools. When Iou gives Tenten his latest invention, Jidanda, Tenten easily defeats the two. The master of Kusumabura, an underground city which used to be called the Flower City, before the clan was destroyed by Taishakuten's army during the Holy War. Kumara-ten wanted to defeat Taishakuten and take his place as tentei, but in order to do that, he needed the power of the Shurato, which he heard could only be awakened by using the blood of one of the Ashura clan along with a lunar eclipse. Chinese Kung-Fu (referred to as "Kenpo" in Japanese) practitioner. Trained in China and became the heir to his Kung Fu style in his temple.   Despite his great knowledge in his style he does not open his mind to the possibility of learning from other disciplines at first but after striking up a friendship with Katsumi Orochi post tournament he appears to want to teach as well as learn at the Shinshinkai Dojo.   ~!He fights Sergei Taktarov in round 1, Mount Toba in round 2, and destroys Orochi Katsumi in round 3. He then makes it to the semi-finals of the Maximum Tournament and is pitted against Baki Hanma where Baki nearly kills him by breaking his neck.  In the "Search of Our Strongest Hero" saga, he has encounters with the British convict Hector Doyle and American convict Dorian. Retsu brings Baki to China to cure his poisoned body and have him fight in a Chinese Tournament. He reappears in Baki: Son of Ogre, during the Pickle saga, having a fight with the prehistoric man and losing it. He then gets his leg eaten by Pickle, as a "gift" for his victory. He later trains Katsumi so that he can become stronger before his fight with Pickle.  Sometime afterward, it appears Retsu wants to take his plans to truly educate others about the Chinese martial arts global, and so he enters a boxing gym seeking strong opponents , the coach asks him to do a strength test by punching a bag with all his strength ,Retsu does so apprehensively and destroys the bag, a few days later at the gym a flash boxing promoter/manager enters the gym and sees Retsu practicing not boxing but a Kung Fu exercise just standing their maintaining his pose for nearly 2 hours, and an idea flashes in the manager's head and he arranges an exhibition match between a former champ and Retsu, during the course of his next few fights it appears Retsu has gained some respect for Western fighters as well as showing them how to absorb damage, hit with absolutely all their strength and use lightning speed, (as well as making millions in the process for these exhibition matches but seemingly completely indifferent towards the money).!~

A master of martial arts who fundamentally keeps the morality of the innate goodness of man, but at same time also accepts evil. As a Servant, Shuwen's morality had deviated from the general common sense, but his humanity itself is that of a "sensible person" that esteems rationality. He does not see great difference in justice and evil, but if someone's behavior offends his rationality, he will bring swift and inevitable death. At a first glance this would seems as an act of chivalry, but since the chivalry of China is "pick up a sword out of passion", his way of thinking is the exact opposite. Rather than rational, Li Shuwen's character is something better described as being close to that of modern people. Li Shuwen was someone who simply (not purely) sought for strength, but it has been said that, in his late years, he discovered the valor of the strength of conviction, one's way of life, instead the strength of violence. He acknowledges that he is a kind of professional killer rather than a martial artist, but that is neither a self-depreciation nor a boast. Given that he often learned, often fought and often murdered in his previous life, he really does not carry any regrets or grudges.

Since he was summoned as a Servant, he swings his wicked fists as the concealed weapons of his master Julius without hesitation. He starts to find the Holy Grail War enjoyable as Hakuno and Hakuno's Servants manage to survive his attacks. Making conversation and getting to know the opponent is the ultimate luxury to him. He believes that Martial Arts is to fight on one's life, with the weight of years behind one's fist. The opportunity to crush each other's lives is rare for him. He is very compatible with his master Julius and he is grateful to be summoned by him to fight once again.

Assassin is prideful, serious, and energetic when fighting in battle.
