Bear is an older player of the game and plays a Blademaster. He appears as cool and collected, always willing to help out newbies, giving off an experienced air. He also conducts research in the real world on Tsukasa in the attempt to try to figure out who he really is; he is in fact the first character who discovers Tsukasa's real life identity. Bear is usually seen hanging out with Mimiru and BT.    ~!In real life, Bear is a famous novelist named Ryo Sakuma. He's 47 years old and his most acclaimed work is the novel "Annwn".   He's divorced from his wife, and is constantly pestered by his son, a Wavemaster that goes by the name Teddy in The World, with demands for money.   Ryo Sakuma enjoys various hobbies, like reading books by famous authors, and going to the theatre. He smokes quite a lot, and has several dictionaries in his computer, which enable him to research anytime.   In Unison, the conversation at the bar, and certain scenes at Net Slum suggest that Bear and BT start a relationship in real life after the events in .hack//Sign. !~

Rei is a very handsome oni, he is unfortunately mainly interested in eating. He has the ability to transform into an "ushitora," a huge creature resembling a cross between a tiger and a bull. Rei has not yet learned to speak Japanese fully so he can only speak 1-5 words at a time in Japanese. When younger, Ran and Lum were both in love with him, but he became engaged to Lum, breaking Ran's heart and causing her to start to hate Lum. Lum eventually broke up with him, but he came to Earth to chase her and regain her love in which he became extremely jealous of Ataru and would transform when enraged. 

The younger brother of the two Shaft Brothers. Shaft learned that his older brother bought some psychedelic mushrooms from a mushroom dealer called Domino Walker and, after eating one, he laughed himself to death, prompting Shaft to swear revenge on Walker.

Lt. Kozu Karina is a member of the Tokyo Police Department&#039;s &#039;U&#039; Division (&#039;U&#039; standing for &#039;unknown&rsquo;&#039;or &#039;unexplained&#039;) and is in charge of investigating unusual cases, as well as an employee of Phantom Quest Corp.  As Ayaka Kisaragi&#039;s contact within the department, Karina often supplies her with important clues to the various cases she is involved in.    Karina also has a romantic interest in Ayaka, as well as trying to protect her either from the supernatural threats Phantom Quest Corp runs into from time-to-time, as well as being a touchstone appealing to her common sense.  He also tries to protect Ayaka from herself &ndash; namely her destructive habits of excess drinking and overly-exuberant shopping.  He also drives an old Volkswagen Beetle, which often breaks-down at the worst possible times!   

Piemon rules the dark wastelands and presides over the "Nightmare Soldiers", a demonic army which includes LadyDevimon, and a multitude of Vilemon. Piemon is the toughest of the Dark Masters, as well as the most cruel; he also has a sadistic sense of humor, often cracking jokes and laughing hysterically. He is a master of deception and trickery. Despite this, he respects his comrades and treats them as equals.

Mazinger Z:  Kouji Kabuto is the protagonist of the show, an average student with great skill in driving motorcycles. He lived with his brother Shiro and his grandfather Juuzo, after his parents were apparently killed in a lab accident caused by his grandfather.  One day, Koji receives a call from his grandfather to meet him at his mountain cabin. Just as Kouji arrives however, the cabin explodes. Searching the remains, he uncovers a hidden doorway into the mountain and inside, he finds his dying grandfather who tells him with his dying wish to pilot "Mazinger Z" and stop a man named Dr. Hell.  Kouji continues into the hidden lab and discovers the huge, humanoid robot Mazinger Z, and the hover pilder which is used to control it. Honoring his grandfather's last wish, he joins up with the Photon Power Labs and fights the forces of Dr. Hell with his Mazinger Z.  Shin Mazinger:   The protagonist of the series. Kouji lives with his younger brother Shiro and his grandfather Juuzo in their manor in Atami. Though his grandfather caused the accident that apparently killed his parents, Kouji feels no ill-will towards him and in fact holds him in high regard, attacking anyone who dares insults his grandfather.   During the Ashura Corps first attack on Atami, Juuzo sends out the hover pilder to Kouji and tells him to use it to quickly fly home. Just as he reaches the manor, it is utterly obliterated as Juuzo sends out his life's work from his underground lab, the super robot Mazinger Z. After docking the pilder with Mazinger's head, Juuzo tells Kouji that with Mazinger, he has the power to do anything he wants with the world - he could even become a god or the devil. As the ultimate penance for accidentally killing his parents, Juuzo will make his grandson superhuman. Having been granted this new-found power, Kouji decides that he will use it to fight the Kabuto family's long-time enemy - Dr. Hell - and his army of mechanical beasts.

Phinks is a genius when it comes to unarmed combat. Phinks uses his hands in battle, which have been shown to be extremely powerful. He is rather brash and has a tendency to get into conflicts with other people. Phinks is one of the members of the Phantom Troupe that originated from Meteor City. He first appears in Egyptian Suit but later changed into jogging suit. He seems to get along with Feitan. Phinks also displays a level of compassion for Zazan's minions after they are released from her control. When they beg him to kill them he refuses to simply execute them on their knees, instead urging them to fight back and die in battle honorably. 

__Nen Ability:__ 
Ripper Cyclotron: Phinks's nen ability involves how many times he rotates his arm. The more rotations that he does with the arm, the stronger his blow will become.

Captain, as he&#039;s known by his fellows, is a mercenary under contract with the Extra Order Company, a private security firm that was contracted by Kageyama of Asahi Heavy Industries. A veteran of the Liberian Civil War of the 1990&#039;s, Captain is an experienced soldier, with no qualms about killing anyone he was hired to kill. He&#039;s also a thrill-seeker, always looking for a worthy opponent to face-off against &ndash; which proved to be his undoing.    The first attack against the Lagoon Company was at the Yellow Flag Bar. Captain and his fellows staged a hit from outside, killing most of the patrons. What they didn&#039;t count-on was Revy and Dutch, as well as a very irate Bao (because his bar was getting shot-up and threatening to make the Lagoon Company pay for the repairs and restocking), making a counter attack, killing sixteen of the mercenaries and wounding eight. The way the EO mercenaries were defeated impressed Captain, and he eagerly awaited another chance to face them. Later, while acting as the gunner of a modified Soviet Union-era Mil Mi-24 &#039;Hind&#039; helicopter gunship, he chased the Black Lagoon into the mouth of a river that had a dead-end, then waited for them to return so that he could kill them.    What he didn&#039;t count-on was that Rock had formulated a risky plan to save his captors. In facing-off the gunship, the Black Lagoon used the sunken hulk of an old warship as a ramp and went airborne &ndash; with the gunship in front of them. Dutch, piloting the PT boat, then launched two of the torpedoes at it &ndash; with the fatal one hitting Captain square in the face before bringing the gunship down!

Amnesia was entrusted with Ergo Proxy's lost memories back in an underground layer in Mosko that was only accessible by using a Proxy pendant. However, Proxy one had entered the area before Vincent had and destroyed Amnesia to ensure that no memories are obtained by Vincent. He is last seen broken on his chair with a proxy pendant attached to his neck, repeating the phrase &quot;The one who was divided must become whole again.&quot; (or in the english dubbed version, &quot;That which is divided, must become one&quot;) His final words was a hint to tell them to go back to Romdo.
