Gyuumaou is based on Niúmówáng ("Ox-Demon-King", "Ox Devil Lord" or "Ox Tyrant") a character from the Chinese novel Journey to the West.   Despite his threatening name, he is really quite harmless and fun-loving; given that Gyuu is the crest on his helmet, it is incorrectly assumed by fans that Gyuu is his surname and Maō is his first. He was somewhat demonic and frightening when his castle became engulfed in flames on Frypan Mountain.  He wreaked havoc through the village at the foot of the mountain, threatening anyone he presumed would steal his treasure, until Kamesen'nin showed him the error of his ways. He is Chichi's father and thus Son Goku's father-in-law. Gyuumaouis very strong and trained alongside Grandpa Son Gohan under Muten-Rôshi's tutelage.   As the series progresses, Gyuumaou's role lessens in the story and eventually fades into being a background character, used only for slight comic relief. Gyuumaouis also the grandfather of Gohan and Goten. In anime filler, he has a few large roles though from time to time, mainly accompanying his family and the others.

D3 is a dimensional supervisor, specifically the supervisor of the 3rd dimension. He serves Lady Tokimi and the other Chousin (Tsunami directed an order to D3 about the state of Tenchi's powers during his battle with Z). He first appeared before Dr. Clay when he arrived to demand to see Tokimi to make his report and confirm the person that she is searching for. Although D3 pointed he could also confirm that person, he immediately disappeared when Tokimi agreed to Clay's terms of speaking with her. After Tokimi ordered Clay to bring Washu to her, D3 pointed to Clay not to hurt Washu.     After Dr. Clay's capture, D3 is surprised to see that Tenchi Masaki is capable of matter conversion, but is only capable of generating three lighthawk wings. D3 also applies the necessary treatments on Dr. Clay and his robot servant Zero (who was merged with Ryoko Hakubi) in order to block off all memories pertaining to Tokimi to help conceal her existence.     D3 is also aware that Z is planning to disobey Tokimi's orders of not harming Tenchi. D3 later observes Z's final battle against Tenchi with the other interdimensional directors.   

Genma Saotome is very much like his son, [Ranma.](https://anilist.co/character/668/Ranma-Saotome) He is somewhat arrogant when it comes to his martial arts abilities, which he rarely showcases due to cowardice or laziness. It was Genma that took Ranma to Jusenkyo. Because he was unable to read the pamphlet, which was in Chinese, he had no idea of the curses that existed there. 
When splashed with cold water Genma transforms into a panda. When in this form, he uses signs with written messages on them to communicate. Although he often tries to rid himself of his curse, he doesn't seem to mind it as much as Jusenkyo's other victims. An elderly blacksmith and a friend of Inu-no-Taishou (InuYasha and Sesshoumaru's father) who forged the Tessaiga and the Tenseiga. He rarely appears unless to repair the damaged swords or instruct InuYasha in hidden powers within the Tessaiga. Tōtōsai can breathe fire and wields a giant forging hammer. He also is transported by a three eyed ox which can fly. ("Totosai" means "sword purification.")

Leader of the bandits of Grape Valley on Titan, Antales is guardian to a large collection of children orphaned by the human-hunting Count Mecha. (In the TV series, he was simply stealing in order to care for his own children.) He hates the machine people, and technology in general. Antales tells  Tetsuro to seek out the pirate Emeraldas  if he wishes to find the location of Count Mecha&#039;s Time Castle, and advises the youngster to shoot the Count without giving him a moment&#039;s pity. His body still contains a large number of unexploded energy bullets, which go off at the most inconvenient moment, just as he is about to warn Tetsuro of an important secret regarding Maeter. Ratchman is the leader of the Aryan Socialist Union, a neo-Nazi organization operating in the United States. He was commissioned by Lord Alfred, a former SS officer in hiding in South America, to do a single task: salvage the painting 'The Twelve Knights led by Brunhilda' from the wreak of U-1324, a Type IX-C U-boat that was sunk on March 24, 1945 by a U.S. Navy patrol just outside its objective of Batavia (now Jakarta), with the promise of financial backing of the organization (oddly enough, Lord Alfred ALSO gave the same job to the Lagoon Company, mainly as a test for Ratchman).    Ratchman is a petty, cowardly man, whose main quality is giving grandiose, overly-emotional speeches to inspire his men. He has no sense of either foresight or planning, as evident when Revy and Dutch raided their ship after stealing the painting from Revy and Rock, who entered the U-boat ahead of the A.S.U., with both Dutch - and mostly Revy - causing a bloodbath among the A.S.U.'s company as they celebrated in a drunken party.    It was later - after his men were killed - when Ratchman discovered from a phone call to Lord Alfred that he was merely TESTING Ratchman and his organization - and found them as poor Nazis. Ratchman was later killed by Revy and Dutch when Revy offered one of her guns to him. Ratchman then tried to kill himself, but then turned the gun to Dutch - and found it empty.

Watari is [L's](https://anilist.co/character/71/L-Lawliet) assistant, providing logistics to the investigation team. Before the team is formed, he is the only person who has seen L, and the only one capable of contacting L directly. Like L, he represents himself with an Old English "W" on computer screens. He is also a fatherly figure to L. Outside of the investigation, he is known as Quillsh Wammy, a famous inventor and the founder of Wammy's House, an orphanage for gifted children in Winchester, England. Watari is well trained in espionage and marksmanship.<br>

A referee of robattling, Mr. Referee somehow manages to appear before most daytime robattles or, least, those that involve the characters shown in the anime (it is speculated that he may be one of many referees designated to different parts of Japan). He is known for his catchphrase: &ldquo;Then it&#039;s agreed! This will be a submission robattle. The first Medabot to cease functioning loses, and the loser must submit one Medapart to the winner, for keeps. I shall act as referee, me Mr. Referee, so no one gets hurt. Medafighters ready? Twanning is a Zeon officer stationed in the control room of A Baoa Qu. When Kycilia Zabi assassinates Gihren Zabi, Twanning quickly calms down the other soldiers and gets them following Kycilia's orders. Kycilia later gives him orders to surrender A Baoa Qu, telling him that she'll arrange to get him back when they exchange POWs.

The unnamed Prime Minister of the Earth Parliament is about as slack as a politician can get, meaning that he&#039;s an utterly familiar character no matter what country you live in. With the future of the earth entrusted to robot-manned farms on colony worlds, the Prime Minister is free to indulge his time betting on horse and dog races or playing golf. He conveniently blames all of earth&#039;s maladies on Harlock, but as he fears the pirate, the Prime Minister is rather content to let him be, despite Commander Kiruta&#039;s insistence that Harlock must be taken out of the picture. When Kiruta realizes the error of his ways, his boss will hear none of it, eventually branding Kiruta as a traitor.    Even after repelling the Mazone invasion, Harlock is still declared unwelcome on earth by its slack-ass ruler, until a last-minute spoilsport attack threatens his own life. He offers the crew their rights to citizenship in return for their help, but the pirates want nothing to do with his society, electing to build their own after the last Mazone attack is put down.    The Prime Minister appears again in the Endless Odyssey mini-series, still as ineffectual a leader as he ever was. No longer a resident of earth, he lives in luxury on the space station Panopticon and barely blinks when his planet appears to be destroyed by the Fata Morgana&#039;s Density Serial Cannon, hoping that if he simply ignores the impending threat, it will pass him by.
