As an ESWAT member, Deunan is a specialist in weapons handling, explosive devices manipulations, hand-to-hand combat, and an excellent Landmate pilot. According the Appleseed Databook, she is trained to be ambidextrous. In the original manga, Briareos was a cyborg before Deunan arrived at Olympus, and she managed to lose an eye in Volume 4, due to a training accident.  The following data is from the 2004 Movie adaptation.  The daughter of Carl and Dr. Gilliam Knute, Deunan, who is considered as a highly skilled warrior, has spent almost her entire life fighting in a war that was, for the most part, over. It wasn't until she was captured by an ES.W.A.T. (Especial Weapons And Tactics) team in the middle of a ruined city, led by Hitomi and her former lover Briareos, that she was finally evacuated from the Badlands. When she arrived in Olympus, the change of environment was severe, but it was a greater shock to her when she found that Briareos had lost over 75% of his original body during the last Global War and was now a cyborg.  The day after she was brought to the city of Olympus, Deunan learned that over half of the population of the city was composed of artificial humans called Bioroids. She also found out that her new friend, Hitomi, was one herself. Deunan also discovers that other people are looking for her, mostly because she possesses, without knowing it, the secret of "Appleseed". That interest will become important when Hitomi's life will be at risk and that the "Appleseed Data" will be needed to save her. But that would mean defying the powerful Olympus Regular Army (ORA), composed at 100% of humans and under the command of General Uranus and Colonel Hades.

Electra Ovilo is a veteran of the Titan War. Her love for Vincent caused them to have a short-term relationship, during which Vincent transferred the vaccine to Electra. She is unaware of this until Vincent sets free the Nanomachines on the Monorail and she survives. She meets Spike by chance when he infiltrates a bio weapon lab fronting as a pharmaceutical company where she works. After a few more chance meetings, and witnessing his being shot and thrown from a monorail by Vincent, she teams up with the crew of the Bebop to put an end to Vincent's intent to destroy the population of Mars. The samples of her blood are used to make the vaccine that is spread over Alba city. In the end, it is she who shoots Vincent and kills him. Referred to as &quot;President&quot; by Jagi, this foul-mouthed woman is DMC's manager, and often forces Negishi to do things against his will for the band's sake.    She has no problems using violence to get her way, and is a chain-smoking, alcoholic, frequently stoned heavy metal fan who constantly talks about performances making her wet.      Frequently accompanied by Garo and Guro, two huge, leather-clad, brother bodyguards.  

A crazed prisoner, obsessed with the &quot;Master of the Moon&quot; (which is actually Seneks Proxy). Gets skewered by debris when the chopper that Senekis Proxy brings down crashes on her. She is the more serious of the group. She often scolds Uraganos and Circulas when they argue and is more intimidating. She is also the type to never apologize even when she was wrong.

One of Naraku&#039;s incarnations, he is a pale child who appears much later in the series. He was initially a part of Akago, or the infant, but was cut from him by a monk. Unlike Naraku, he will fight in hand to hand combat, as even Kagura mentions that he is not afraid to get his hands dirty. Like Naraku, he is also able to erect an extremely powerful barrier at will. His main task after being unleashed is to find a way to the border of the afterlife so that Naraku can obtain the final Shikon Jewel shard. For a while he rode the demon horse Entei, until Inuyasha defeated it.  He often orders around Kagura and taunts her. Much later in the series, he created Moryomaru as protection for Akago.

Tanyuu is the fourth and current Scribe of the Karibusa family. A Karibusa Scribe is a person with a special coal-like birthmark. The birthmark contains a type of Mushi called The Forbidden Mushi. The curse is located on her right leg.

Tanyuu is a kind person who, despite the amount of hardship that the Mushi have brought on her life, is extremely attached to them. For this reason, she hates having to hear stories about Mushi being treated as lesser than humans or as vermin that need to be killed. She loves hearing stories about Mushi from [Ginko](https://anilist.co/character/425/Ginko) because unlike most Mushishi, he is attached to Mushi and understands that Mushi are not just evil creatures, but simply living creatures trying to survive. She is efficient and talented at her job, something she initially hated as a child but grew to love, and is proud but compassionate towards those she loves.

A cursed Mushi that once nearly brought the destruction of all of life is sealed in her right leg and she is upset that this Mushi is the reason her current guardian and the Minai family line are suffering. She often worries more about others than herself but does lament the inability to use her leg. Tanyuu's deepest desire is to complete the sealing away of the forbidden Mushi and to be freed to travel with Ginko.

Strong-willed and dedicated, Sara is a classmate of Gainer's and a member of the pro-Exodus faction seeking to leave the hardships of the Siberian Domepolis behind. When the pro-Exodus forces makes their move, she actively partakes in the operation, mounting a Silhouette Engine, and helping to fend off the local garrison trying to halt the Exodus from progressing. The youngest child of Lord Borjarno, who rules over the Luzianna territory. Lily initially appears to be little more than a spoiled dilettante. She behaves pettily towards the disguised Dianna Soreil, she claims to work for the Militia out of boredom, and it seems like she's willing to allow Guin to use her as a pawn so long as he indulges her infatuation.  As the series progresses, it becomes clear that Lily is in fact an insightful and astute politician. She knows the importance of gathering powerful friends and allies, and has no qualms about ditching Guin once he becomes a liability instead of an asset.
