She transforms using the phrase "Powered Buttercup" and uses a Daruma Otoshi hammer. Like the original Buttercup, Kaoru is a tomboy and is the most easily enraged of the three. She is known at school for being the most athletic girl as she plays tennis, practices martial arts, and numerous other activities, and spends a great deal of time watching sports on television. She is especially good at soccer due to her strengthened determination after receiving new soccer cleats when she was younger. This may be part of the reason why she has so many fangirls, much to her dismay. She dislikes girls, who she considers very "girly". This includes Momoko and Miyako. This, in addition to the fact that she hates skirts, makes Kaoru the most reluctant of the girls, only joining due to the power it has given her. In later episodes, she begins to care about Momoko and Miyako and is no longer reluctant about joining them in whatever they do, but she often tries to act calm and indifferent. She speaks with a hard and masculine edge and rarely uses honorifics when speaking. Her greatest fear is ghosts. Kaoru lives with her father, who is a professional masked-wrestler, mother and two brothers, one older and one younger. She is represented by stars.

Sora was lucky enough to advance automatically to the next level of competition in Battle Bladers because there was an odd number of contestants. He generally seems indifferent in the manga.   In the anime, Sora is a very big fan of Ginga: one day, he saw one of his battles in the Battle Bladers tournament, and he was totally amazed by his performance. When Ginga won, he therefore got up to cheer for him, and somehow he sensed that there was something they had in common at that moment, what with them being the only two people standing up and Ginga more or less looking in his direction. From that day on, Sora worked hard to become just like his idole, mostly when it comes to beyblading.   One huge problem always comes into Sora's way: he is what we could call a 'natural loser'. As hard as he tries to be good and to make powerful attacks, his beyblade always ends up dropping to the ground weakly. Everytime he tried to imitate Ginga's Shooting Star Attack, everybody was shocked at first, yet his 'Cyber' just came falling to the ground naturally, due to gravity. Of course, Sora is annoyed by the fact everyone laughs at him during those times, but he usually gets back up soon after those incidents and he just keeps trying harder. Too bad for him he cannot even get a successful ending for his own special attack...   In general, Sora is a very cool, laid-back kid who, like Ginga, would often sleep in a day. He does get ticked off over a few normal things though, and he can be quite insulting to people who are in his way, going on and telling Kenta's opponent in the Battle Bladers tournament to leave immediately, even pushing him. One of the only aspect of beyblading that Sora could not understand from Ginga at first was the Blader Spirit that is needed to beyblade well. Fortunately, Kenta helped him get on the right way by telling him to get his inspiration from the stars, even though Sora always keeps coming back to his imagined 'spirit' of Ginga to lead him correctly.   Kenta was really touched by his meeting with Sora, because the latter's determination is quite inspiring.   When launching, Sora soars into the sky and shoots his Cyber from up there, aiding his launch with the force of gravity.

Botan is Kyou's pet boar. Despite loving her owner, Botan hates and fears her twin sister Ryou, since she once tried to get her into the bath with her, which she mistook for an attempt of cooking her alive. Botan is well known for her catchphrase "Puhi-Puhi", the sounds that she makes.

Three girls who protected Edo from Him, as revealed in episode 30 (Edo eventually became Tokyo City; see History of Tokyo). A long time ago in Edo, when Him was terrorizing its citizens, a man named Kennai Hiraga, who is modeled after Hiraga Gennai, created the special substance &quot;Kennainum He,&quot; the original Chemical Z, and poured it on three girls: Momo, Omiya, and Okou. The substance changed their appearance, giving them new hairstyles (now similar to their present day counterparts) and kimonos (the bottom portion is shorter than normal, resembling mini skirts, the colors match the Powerpuff Girls Z, and their sashes are black with the symbols of the Powerpuff Girls Z), as well as their own powers and weapons. The three were given the name Goodenough Girls (&quot;The Good Enough Girls&quot; in the English dub) and their purpose was to stop Him from causing more damage to Edo. The three faced and successfully defeated Him, whose weakness to the cold became his undoing. Together with Kennai Hiraga, they were able to drain Him&#039;s powers and seal his body in a coffin. The Oh-Edo Chaki-Chaki Girls can be seen as the heroines who preceded the present day Powerpuff Girls Z and may in fact be their ancestors. Because of his defeat, Him has a deep hatred towards the Oh-Edo Chaki-Chaki Girls and directs that hatred towards the Powerpuff Girls Z for their resemblance to them.
