Dr. Tenma (which means "Pegasus" or literally "Heaven-horse" in Japanese) was a renowned roboticist and the Japanese Minister of Science. When his nine-year-old son Tobio died in a car accident, he decided to recreate him as the invincible robot "Atom".

The King of Midland is the one most responsible for [Griffith](https://anilist.co/character/424)'s ascension to power. He is the ruler of Midland, and father to [Princess Charlotte](https://anilist.co/character/614). During an almost lost battle, the King of Midland's army is saved by the Band of the Hawk. He took an immediate liking to the powerful and brilliant Griffith, and promoted him through the ranks extremely quickly. From making him a noble, to bestowing upon him the title of "Guardian of Midland," the King was always quick to reward him for a job well done. The chief inspector of Emperor Zambajil, and one of few who knew about Zamabajil's betrayal to Lagour and the Boazanian throne. He is well known to deliver bad news to the emperor from his scouting, thus many executions ordered by the Emperor was a result of his reports.    ~!Zambajil sent him to Earth to report on Heinel's progress, but discreetly wanted him to ensure Heinel's death at the hands of Voltes V. He plotted with Zuhl to have Heinel pilot a beast fighter, while at the same time leaked information to Big Falcon about the beast fighter's weak points.  His plan backfired when Katharine overheard the plot. Ken-Goh is the man responsible for Holland having the Gekko. He serves as weapons system operator on the bridge, but often shouts tactical directions to the other members on the bridge, particularly the pilot. He is extremely stern, but backs it up by knowing what he&#039;s doing.

Kuzemi is one of the three sages at The Council of the Sages. In the movie version of Eureka Seven he&#039;s the Minister of health of the Central People&#039;s Government.

The wise and powerful Head of Section 9, Aramaki relies upon his many international and corporate contacts to supply his team with the information they need to get the job done. Though he commands a great deal of respect, he is occasionally called "Monkey Man" (in the Manga) by his subordinates (perhaps because of his unconventional hairstyle/face). Seldom directly involved in police actions, he is nonetheless constantly working behind the scenes to coordinate the efforts of his agents, making quick and authoritative decisions and maintaining tight control of Kusanagi.

Wort was among the six who had saved Lodoss 30 years ago. A wise scholar, he advises Parn and company about the Grey Witch, Karla. Karla appears in his tower and challenges his views, but Wort stands his ground.  Wort and Karla know each other quite well, and as the final battle draws close, Wort challenges Karla to explain why such destruction is necessary. Karla, however, is as steadfast as Wort. She will not relent. She knows what she is doing, even if the great sage does not.  

He is a strong fighter and a talented strategist. He is said to be the only one who can equal the former Oniwabanshū leader in a fight, wielding steel tonfa to block sword blows. Okina was to become the next leader but refused the position, saying that it was the time for the young, not the old and recommended Aoshi to be the next leader. He was then made an agent in Kyoto for gathering information. Upon retiring, he gave up his fighting ways (although he was seen fighting Aoshi) and now lives peacefully in Kyoto at the Aoiya (House of Malva), the headquarters of the Oniwabanshū (which is now a hotel), where he raised Misao. Although old, Okina still possesses a quick mind and knows all of the outer and inner workings of Kyoto since the old intelligence network of the Oniwabanshu is still active. He uses this network to help Kenshin find Arai Seikū and Hiko Seijūrō. Okina tends to like drinking games and pretty girls.
