The newly appointed Director-General of the Citizen Security Bureau, who reports directly to the Regent. He and his wife took Pino as a surrogate child prior to the beginning of the series. Initially loyal to the system, he comes to despise the ruling order responsible for the city's slow decay and lashes out destructively. His mentality also slowly degenerates, as he frequently has hallucinations of a smirking Vincent Law close by.   ~!He eventually ends up wounded (Due to being somehow stabbed by the fake Real, as her hands are covered in blood during a wash in the sink) and goes in search for Pino, his only surviving loved one, but dies in his search, knocked over by an AutoReiv onto a shard of glass and impaled. He dies from his wounds but is found by Kristeva.!~

A Buddhist 'houshi,' or low-ranking, itinerant monk, Miroku traveled the countryside performing services such as exorcisms and yōkai exterminations to earn his living. He suffers from a hereditary curse originally inflicted upon his grandfather Miyatsu (also a Buddhist monk) by Naraku, who exploited Miyatsu's weakness for attractive women by taking the shape of one, and reflected one of Miyatsu's ofuda back to pierce the palm of his right hand (it appears to be his left hand in the English language manga where right and left are reversed). The hole in his hand became a kazāna (air void or "wind tunnel") which sucks in anything not nailed down, regardless of mass. Miroku uses the kazāna as a powerful weapon against yōkai, but as he grows older, the kazāna grows inevitably larger, and if the curse is not broken by Naraku's death, it will grow too large to control and consume Miroku himself - the same fate his grandfather and his father have already met. Probably as a result of this, Miroku takes a hedonistic approach to life which is uncharacteristic of a proper monk; he is a talented con artist who does not hesitate to invent fictitious supernatural menaces which he can then offer to combat in return for food and shelter, and like his grandfather he has a distinct weakness for pretty women. He makes a point of asking every attractive woman he meets if she will bear his child, claiming that he wants to be sure of an heir to continue his pursuit of Naraku if he dies, and his hands have a seemingly uncontrollable habit of wandering - something which often gets him soundly thumped by Sango, the favorite subject of his groping. However, in spite of his less-than-saintly behavior, Miroku proves to have a core of deep spirituality and, as a result, impressive spiritual powers. ("Miroku" is Japanese for Maitreya.)

Hiroyuki is the husband of Miyako and the father of Yukino, Kano, and Tsukino Miyazawa. He comes off as overly protective of his three daughters and acts very much like a child. ~!He does not get along with his father-in-law.!~

Char is one of the most feared pilots of the Principality of Zeon. During his first battle at Loum, Char was able to destroy five Federation Salamis-class ships on his own. He was given the title of "Red Comet" for his fast movements and his red colored Zaku II. Char had been following the White Base crew throughout the One Year War, U.C. 0079. He met with Amuro several times and engaged in many of the most epic battles in Mobile Suit warfare history.

During the One Year War, Char used predominantly red mobile suits. After the War between the Zeon and the Federation, Char joined the AEUG, ~!under the name Quattro Bajeena, to help them liberate the oppressed colonies from the hands of the Titans. In the AEUG he was an instructor, commander, and later leader of the AEUG after the assassination of the former leader.!~

A ronin, haunted by his terrible past, has sworn to keep his sword sheathed. However upon meeting Kotaro he finds himself re-evaluating his life. Whilst traveling with the young Kotaro, Nanashi finds himself acting as a bodyguard for the boy. This in turn leads to his prolonged struggle against Raro.

The leader of the Black Siblings, Kittan, makes his first appearance in the fourth episode of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. He joins Kamina and Simon in the Gurren Brigade after acquiring his own Ganman, the &quot;King Kittan&quot;. As a Ganman Pilot, Kittan is a force to be reckoned with, and an asset to the Great Gurren Brigade.  Despite his sometimes obnoxious attitude and eccentric behaviour, Kittan is brave, noble, and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that his friends escape whatever dangers they may encounter, no matter what the cost.

~!After the war, Kittan became the Chief of the Legal Affairs Bureau in Kamina City, but resigned after discovering about Rossiu's plan to evacuate Earth using the Arc-Gurren, along a small fraction of the human population, and abandoning the rest to die, when the moon falls. Kittan is another character to have Spiral Power. He awakens it when he destroys the Death machine. It allowed him to use the King Kittan Giga Drill Break, which lead to his death.!~

Sometimes known as Kaisuke, he is a high-ranking member of Kaneda's gang. He does not play a major role at first​ but becomes more prominent later in the story.

Li briefly appeared in episode 23 of season one and made his full debut in the first episode of R2. Li is a member of the Chinese Federation. He possesses a sword, which he always carries with him. He is also fiercely loyal to the Empress, a trait not shared by any of his superiors. It seems that part of his goal is to reestablish the throne of China as the clear authority, as the current Empress is the head of a puppet government, with eunuchs holding actual power in the country.  Li was formerly a bodyguard for the influential eunuch Gaohai, and accompanied him when he was sent by the Federation as a consul to the Britannian colony Area 11. They arrive right as the Order of the Black Knight's operation to recover Zero began. The Black Knights succeed in their mission and Zero orders the Knights to head to the Chinese Embassy for protection. Gaohai, under the influence of Lelouch's Geass, agrees to harbor the fugitives, which troubles Li as this is not part of their mission.  He meets Karen Kōzuki and is impressed that someone of her age is the pilot of the Guren Nishiki. Later, as the Britannians wait to kill the imprisoned Black Knights, he attacks the embassy himself in an attempt to further his own plans and ideals. After the initial attack, Li holds a private conversation between himself, Karen, and C.C.. He informs them that he plans to kill Gaohai. Under threat by Li, C.C. agrees to let it look like Gaohai died when fighting with them.  Li confronts Gaohai about having recognized the United States of Japan without confirming it with higher officials in the mainland, including the Empress. When he finds out that Gaohai, who is still affected by the Geass, cares more about Zero than the Empress, Li summarily executes Gaohai for committing lèse majesté. C.C. realizes his ambitions, and that his agreement to aid the Order of the Black Knights is only in return for the Black Knights being used as a tool to aid his own plans for China.  Li is in top physical condition and is exceptionally skilled in close combat, especially with swords. He is capable of drawing his blade, striking, and sheathing it without his victims perceiving the blade being drawn or Li moving. It is also rumored that Xingke will pilot the Shen-Hu.  Li Xingke has been described as "strong as Suzaku", he's also been described as "smart as Lelouch". He is able to quickly discern that Karen Kōzuki is the pilot of the Guren Nishiki Knightmare Frame.  Li displays his intelligence when he deals with the escalating diplomatic and military situation that evolves around the Chinese Federation Consulate sheltering the Order of the Black Knights from Britannia. In addition to not provoking the Britannians to cause an international crisis or possible war, he also uses the unforeseen situation to his advantage to advance his goals and kill the eunuch Gaohai. He also seems to be able to appreciate Zero's intelligence and wit. C.C. comments that he is not only a skilled soldier, but possesses political skill.

Shun Mitaka is the coach of the tennis club that Kyoko attends, and is the rival of Godai for her love and attention. He and Godai recognized each other as rivals from the moment they met.  Shun is notorious for being a ladies' man, and is a stud in every sense of the word, from his good looks, athleticism, and way with words, to his trademark shining white teeth, he is everything Godai is not. He had some childhood trauma concerning dogs, so he has a crippling fear of them. He comes off as a spoilt child of fortune, but is actually a really good and assiduous guy who truly loves Kyoko and is worried about letting someone unreliable have her.  He wooed Kyoko quite boldly, but ironically that approach actually strengthened Kyoko's feelings towards Godai in most cases.   ~!Shun gets dragged into an arranged marriage affair by his scheming uncle in order to secure the Mitaka family's financial future, and is forced to court Asuna Kujo.  He continues to declare his love for Kyoko however, and difficulties ensue.  Around the end of the manga, he marries Asuna.!~

The mysterious leader of the Neo-Zeon remnant forces who is described as the &quot;Second Coming of Char Aznable&quot;, the legendary Red Comet. Like Char, he is a tall blond man who hides his face behind a half-mask, wears a red uniform and pilots a red mobile suit. His face, voice and tone closely resemble those of Char as well.    Similar to Char, Full Frontal holds the Neo-Zeon remants together through sheer charisma. Whether the name is an alias is unspecified. His name holds a double-meaning, referring both to being stark naked and the combat tactic of full frontal assault.    He leads around Banagher and the others with his puzzling speech and behavior. He fights against the Earth Federation for the secret lying at the center of the foundation of the Universal Century.

Mashuranbo is the combined form of Mashura, Sago and Kutal.  He has three more forms : Black Mashuranbo, Satan Mashuranbo and Golden Mashuranbo.   ~!In reality, he is the leader of the seven generals who wiped out mankind. His reasons for the global genocide are a vague idea of how this will make him a god. When partway through the war the meteorite carrying Ranunculus crashed, the Cardlien lead gave him three extraterrestrial gems that gave him the power to win the war.   He personally destroyed Center, but was he was about to kill Yakumo, she used her own powers to paralyze him, allowing the time traveling heroes to kill him. Mashuranbo's body was divided across the three gems, which now served Yakumo's gem. They were scattered across the world to find new hosts. When the gems are combined, it allows Mashura to use Mashuranbo's form to fight.  In the manga, Mashuranbo is likewise dead at the start and reappears upon the trio merging together, but unlike in the anime he has a mind of his own and can manifest his own body that appears right alongside the transformation of the trio. He destroys the merge form and abducts Yakumo to use her to revive the Matrixer King. He is subsequently killed by the Matrixer King. !~
