Sena Kashiwazaki is the female tritagonist of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai series. She is the first recruited member of the Neighbor's Club and the daughter of Tenma Kashiwazaki, headmaster of St. Chronica's Academy. Her wealth, beauty, and outstanding academic and athletic performance have made her popular among male students, and likewise, have made her an outcast among girls. Starting from high school, Sena continuously took first place in all tests, exams, and competitions. A year prior to the start of the story, Sena in her freshman year of high school, won multiple athletic events in the school annual festival. She entered the 200-meter race, cavalry battle, the scavenger hunt race, the obstacle race, the bread-eating race, the marathon, winning all of them effortlessly. 

Before joining the Neighbor's Club, Sena didn't have any female friends, because she is envied by other girls, due to her good looks and popularity with the opposite sex. Despite being constantly surrounded by boys (who, according to her, are "doormats"), all she wants are true friends, which drove her to join the Neighbor's Club. Sena shows a dislike of all things "ordinary."  

On the outside, Sena appears to be an ordinary high school girl, but in truth, Sena is arrogant and prideful by nature and she is well aware of this. Sena considers herself to be the school queen or goddess and so often she treats her male classmates only as servants to be used, although many of them would like to be her boyfriend. Nonetheless, she holds Kodaka to a higher standard. Sena also believes that there are two types of girls; the ones who are willing to be her friends and the others who are not worthy of her. Sena also does not treat the boys in her class with much respect due to them constantly ogling her, and slavishly doing whatever she tells them to. However, whenever Sena's ego is shaken by someone (usually Yozora), she bursts into tears and flings childish insults before running away. Sena was surprised to see that Kodaka does not act like the boys in her class (wanting to be stepped on) and hence, views Kodaka in a different light. She first saw him in this different light when he rescued her from some guys who were harassing her at a public pool. Since then, her feelings have increased to the point where she nonchalantly admits that she wouldn't mind marrying him and that she is in love with him. Her father was the best friend of Hayato Hasegawa, and because of this, some time in her early childhood Sena met Kodaka Hasegawa (though both of them couldn't remember this). 

Sena enjoys playing video games—including dating sims and eroge—partially because they allow her to make female (if virtual) friends. She is a perfectionist by default. Sena always tries her best at everything and is willing to go to great lengths to do something perfectly (once playing a video game without sleeping until she had finished it). Sena gets so involved in her games that she becomes very angry if they are insulted in any way. She becomes extremely engrossed in things she is interested in, sometimes to beyond reasonable levels (as seen with her grudge against Yozora), while completely ignoring things she is not interested in. She possesses both the confidence and the means to pursue whatever she may desire. Sena is very gullible and often fails to see through the tricks Rika and Yozora play on her, even when the resulting humiliation is plain to see, (an example being the "heap" hairstyle). She only realizes her mistake when her father or some other person points it out to her. Yozora calls her "Meat" (Niku) an insulting nickname which she secretly likes because it is the first she has ever received. Her father is a friend of Kodaka's father, and pulled strings so that Kodaka could attend St. Chronica's. 

Despite her princess-like arrogance, it's been shown that Sena genuinely cares for the other members of the club. ~!For example, Sena offered to purchase a theme park ticket for Maria so that she would not be left out of the group, which showed a degree of care unexpected from an arrogant princess who thinks nothing of others. Later, while she exacted her revenge on Yozora for plagiarizing, Sena made a point not to go too far and offered Yozora a chance to redeem herself by giving her a part in the movie. Sena also has an overly creepy obsession regarding Kodaka's younger sister, Kobato, going so far as asking to take a bath with her. Sena will go to any lengths to make Kobato happy, much to Kobato's discomfort.!~

~!it was revealed that Kodaka and Sena are fiancés betrothed by their father's which she fully accepts.!~  

In Volume 8,  
~!Sena proposes to Kodaka, asking him to marry her. Sena also confesses to Kodaka that she loves him.!~

Suzuka Kurihara is [Illya](https://anilist.co/character/503/Illyasviel-von-Einzbern)'s classmate. She seems mature and smart, but apparently is not. Ohana's mother, who works as a professional writer.   Satsuki is seen on bad terms with her own mother, calling her "the mother I've always hated".    ~!Satsuki had rejected her mother's wishes for her to inherit the inn, leaving her mother and brother to run it as she left for her own life. !~  Due to her boyfriend writing her name on his papers, the debt he falls into forces Satsuki to make a moonlight escape from her normal life. As a result, Ohana is sent to her grandmother's inn due to the not-so-motherly nature of Satsuki.  She has a surprisingly infamous reputation at the Inn, being the first topic at hand when staff members talk to Ohana for the first time.

Elsie is a shinigami who was assigned to capture evil spirits that have escaped from hell and is the Deuteragonist of the story. She is shown to have a very sweet, pure and innocent personality and often tries to please Keima's expectations as a "little sister" though often fails due to the cultural differences between them.

Her feather cloth (the floating scarf she is always seen with) can change the appearance of an object, create disguises, or hide people in plain sight. She is left-handed and is rarely seen without her broom, which she had for 298 years, as it was from her original role as a cleaner for hell. Ironically, despite being a demon, she is shown to have an incredible fear of ghosts and the dark.  

To stay close to Keima, she tells Mari, Keima's mother, that she is an illegitimate child of Keima's father (nearly getting his parents divorced), and ends up living in the Katsuragi household as well as attending the same class in school.

Tsubaki Hibino is the main protagonist of Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu. She loves doing her little sister's hair but doesn't think the cute styles suit her at all. As a result, she braids her hair everyday and wears old-fashioned clothes and is often teased at school for this. Kyouta Tsubaki makes her his next "target", and she ends up falling in love with him.   ~! One of the main heroines of the story, she is the childhood friend of Takumi, and has been with him ever since they were both in the orphanage. She has a habit of meaning entirely the opposite of what she usually says, a fact only Takumi seems to be aware of. It was revealed that Takumi was the unwitting inspiration for this habit. She works at the Stray Cats as a part-time job. When she's angry, she tends to shout "Die twice already!" to the poor soul who incurred her wrath. In addition, Takumi (and occasionally Ieyasu) is the unfortunate recipient of much of her violent outbursts, ironically it being him who taught her that. She has a crush on Takumi, and is frequently teased about it by her good friend, Kanae. She confesses to Takumi in a panic, and leaves Takumi somewhat hanging on the credibility of what she had said, stating both love and hate towards him. Fumino's parents died in an accident, leaving her orphaned. She is also shown to be extremely jealous when Takumi gets along well with other girls. She is easily embarrassed, and can get worked up if someone even suggests that she cares for them. To hide this, she normally comes up with unrealistic lies to hide her concern for anyone.

One of Lala's younger sisters, she is also the elder twin sister of Momo. Nana only appears to be more the mischievous of the two. She has an affinity for fauna. Both Nana and Momo are currently on Earth, running away from their studies. She didn't like Rito to begin with, but later warms up to him. She has tsundere characteristics.  Nana also has a special ability to communicate with various alien beasts and animals. She also uses an invention of Lala which enables her to store her friends in a virtual space and summon them at will.  Nana stated that she is the inferior twin, being flat. People say that she is the worser behaved of the two, even though Nana says it's because most do not know of Momo's dark side. Despite this, even after they argue, they make up again. Nana supports her Lala's relationship with Rito, even though she calls him a beast many times, this only helps Momo's harem plan in the end.

She has a tsundere attitude, known by her enemies as the "Fool of Owari", she is a brilliant and ambitious teenage girl who plans to conquer and unite Japan to make it a strong nation equal to the Europeans. An admirer of foreign culture and items, their influences inspires Nobuna's ambition. Despite her denials, she actually has feelings for Sagara, and even though she looks down on him and frequently kicks him around she also admires him for his loyalty and his wits in helping her achieve her ambition.

Like Ryōko, she tends to smile to hide her true feelings, and admires Ryōko for trying to become stronger. She is based on the Little Red Riding Hood from the book of the same name, though some aspects of her scheming, manipulative personality closer resemble the poisoned apple ("Ringo" means apple) of Snow White, a fact which is occasionally referenced by the narrator and other characters. She is also the half sister of "Snow White" Shirayuki Himeno and feels responsible for her past.

After graduating from high school, Kanae enrolled at the Amusement Media Academy, a vocational school for voice actors and artists, and graduated in 2007. Prior to graduating she was a member of two voice acting groups called Koetchi (こえっち) and Rirachitchi (りらちっち) before both groups disbanded in December 2005 and January 28, 2007 respectively.

Her first major role came in 2007 when she played the lead heroine, Amu Hinamori, from the anime Shugo Chara!. The show became a hit and Kanae was praised by critics. Since then, she has voiced Amu in other Shugo Chara! franchises including radio serials, drama CDs and video games.  

She and fellow voice actress Aki Toyosaki are good friends who worked together on several anime including Shugo Chara!, To Love-Ru, The World God Only Knows, Hanasaku Iroha and Toaru Kagaku no Railgun (both also hosted the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun web radio show, Radio no Railgun). 

She was also nominated for "Best Rookie Voice Actress," at the 4th Seiyuu Awards.  

In January 1st, 2024, she announced on both her blog and Twitter account that she got married to a man from outside the entertainment industry.
