The primary villain of the first three episodes, Mason, a high-level executive in the GENOM corporation is the man who killed Dr. Stingray and stole his boomer technology. As with Sylia, certain mysteries are created around Mason which are never resolved in the series. It is generally accepted that Mason somehow transferred his personality into a boomer body some time prior to his death in episode 3. Most likely he succeeded in transferring his memories into the ultimate boomer, thus creating a God-like being able to vaporize 8 major Genom branch towers in a single instant with the mind and the dreams of a man. Fear calls him a weirdo for wearing a mask when she first met him. He explained to Fear that he was born with a breathing disorder, which imprisoned him to wear a mask, and if he takes off the mask, he will be hospitalized.   On the other hand, he told others different reasons; he told Haruaki that he had a scar on his face, which he does not want others to see it, while he told Konoha that he wears it due to religious reasons.

His ability to deduct information about cases like a genius detective were among reasons why (along with Haibara's fear of him) made it seem likely that his identity was that of Black Organisation member, Bourbon. Char is one of the most feared pilots of the Principality of Zeon. During his first battle at Loum, Char was able to destroy five Federation Salamis-class ships on his own. He was given the title of "Red Comet" for his fast movements and his red colored Zaku II. Char had been following the White Base crew throughout the One Year War, U.C. 0079. He met with Amuro several times and engaged in many of the most epic battles in Mobile Suit warfare history.

During the One Year War, Char used predominantly red mobile suits. After the War between the Zeon and the Federation, Char joined the AEUG, ~!under the name Quattro Bajeena, to help them liberate the oppressed colonies from the hands of the Titans. In the AEUG he was an instructor, commander, and later leader of the AEUG after the assassination of the former leader.!~

Rock is a recurrent character in Osamu Tezuka's manga series, and he is an important part of Osamu Tezuka's Star System. Rock is a young boy with shiny dark hair. He first appeared in the manga series Detective Boy Rock Holmes, as a child detective. While most of other Tezuka child characters stayed the same age, Rock grew up throughout the years and his character was reused for more mature "roles" in Tezuka's manga, where he gradually developed a darker personality.

Often cold and brutal, his character tends to be used as an antagonist, who later, in works such as Phoenix, kidnapped and murdered people. In this older form, Rock is often wearing a three-piece suit, a striped tie and dark sunglasses, the last of which became something of a trademark for him.

Best known to American audiences for his dark and violent roles in the Metropolis movie and second volume of Alabaster, Rock is sometimes good, sometimes evil, but always determined, absolute and charismatic.

Kite is the very first Hunter introduced in the story. He is a disciple of Ging Freecss, Gon's father. After saving Gon from a foxbear on Whale Island, Kite revealed to him the truth about his father. Before he took his leave, Kite left Ging's Hunter License in Gon's hands. After leaving Greed Island, Gon runs into Kite again, while he is in the middle of a zoological survey, searching for new species, in the country of Kakin. At the time, he was leading a team of young would-be Hunters.

King Kashue, the Mercenary King, had gained his name by uniting the desert kingdoms with his sword. Now the king of the unified Kingdom of Flaim, he comes to King Fahn's aid in the war against Marmo.  Soon after the war ended, activity began to stir at Fire Dragon Mountain. Shooting Star has awakened! He sets out there with his men to attempt to stop the ancient dragon.  Parn has always had a fondness for the Mercenary King, but Kashue did not become a king for nothing. He refuses Parn's help at first because of his recklessness, but he realizes that without another path to take, Parn would follow him anyway (such as when he followed Kashue to Fire Dragon Mountain). And then, he learns of the rising darkness on Marmo, and King Kashue sees what must be done. He sends the call out to all kingdoms of Lodoss to rise up and face the rising forces of Marmo in one final battle, and the scope is enormous. Even the ancient dragons Narse and Mycin will clash.

Before he was Chairman of PLANT, Durandal was a brilliant young physician specializing in genetics and advanced biomedical techniques.  He also was a friend of Rau Le Creuset, who was also his patient, as it appears that it was he who prescribed Le Creuset the pills to stop the pain from his genetic malfunctions. However, despite Gilbert's efforts to ameliorate his friend's suffering, he could do nothing to "save" Rau from his genetic death sentence. Rau's inability to understand the purpose of his existence helped Durandal form his opinions about a perfect world society.  Durandal also had a relationship with later Minerva Captain Talia Gladys but she left him because she wanted a child.
