The wisest of the seven samurai. He is the samurai who assumes the leader position and comes up with the plan(s) to defend the village. He&#039;s brave, strong, and has wisdom beyond his years that has come from the many battles he has fought in his life. However, all the battles he fought were for the losing side, and Kambei lives in the shadow of his painful and stigmatic past. He uses a stylized katana, though on several occasions, he uses two swords at once. He is selected by Kirara to lead the villagers against the bandits when her water crystal reacts to his passing in the city. At first Kambei disregards Katsushiro and Kikuchiyo as too inexperienced and immature to defend the village, but eventually recognizes both as full samurai and makes them the fifth and seventh, respectively.

Kogoro is a private investigator, but he prefers to laze around his office all day unless his client is a beautiful woman. Kogoro attended Teitan High School, the same high school as his daughter [Ran Mouri](https://anilist.co/character/1748/Ran-Mouri) and [Shinichi Kudo](https://anilist.co/character/1742/Conan-Edogawa) , along with [Eri Kisaki](https://anilist.co/character/1744/Eri-Kisaki) _(his future wife)_, [Yukiko Fujimine](https://anilist.co/character/20372/Yukiko-Kudo), and through kindergarten to middle school attended the same schools as the actress Ruri Ujo and Eri. He then graduated from Beika University, where he was the ace of the judo team, though he was highly vulnerable to stage fright.

Some time after graduating, Kogoro became a police officer, working in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Division One with [Inspector Megure](https://anilist.co/character/4253/Juzo-Megure), but while an excellent marksman he was not a particularly good investigator. According to [Ninzaburo Shiratori](https://anilist.co/character/9180/Ninzaburo-Shiratori) in [Movie 2](https://anilist.co/anime/780/Meitantei-Conan-Juuyonbanme-no-Target/), however, the duo were famous for the way they apprehended criminals. He also worked for some time under Inspector Yuminaga in the arson division. While Movie 2 strongly suggests that Kogoro left the police force because of the incident where he gave his wife, Eri Kisaki, a bullet graze on the leg to save her from a hostage situation, his reasons for leaving the force have not been confirmed in the manga. Around the time Kogoro left the police force, Eri also moved out, though they have never officially divorced despite ten years having passed. Their daughter, Ran, keeps trying to get them back together, but she has yet to succeed. Despite constantly feigning disinterest in her, Kogoro still has feelings for Eri. He even asked her to move back in with him at one point, but at the time she pretended not to hear him because she was not "ready" yet, though she still has feelings for him as well. These are expressed mainly through jealousy when Kogoro's attention is caught by other attractive women in the vicinity, which occurs on a regular basis. 

After Shinichi was forced to adopt the identity of Conan Edogawa, [Hiroshi Agasa](https://anilist.co/character/4162/Hiroshi-Agasa) concluded that Shinichi couldn't openly continue investigating the Black Organization without attracting undue attention. To maintain his cover, Agasa suggested Shinichi to move in with Kogoro and use him as a front. During a case Kogoro took soon after, he reached the wrong conclusion, and Conan knocked him out with an ashtray before he could accuse an innocent person. Kogoro conveniently falls unconscious in a reclining pose, and Conan uses his Voice Changer to imitate Kogoro's voice, presenting his conclusions and the identity of the true murderer. After a few more cases occur in this fashion _(though Conan uses his Stun-Gun Wristwatch instead of an ashtray)_, Kogoro receives the title "Sleeping Kogoro" and a public reputation as a master detective. In the few instances where Kogoro remains awake for some reason, Conan still does the main detective work and uses Kogoro as his official mouth-piece by drawing Kogoro's attentions to important clues he has uncovered.

Assistant of Enma Ai, who becomes the black straw doll with a red string around its neck, the string probably originating as the red scarf he wears in human form. He also frequently takes the form of a burning wheel on Ai's coach when she goes to the human world to claim a soul. The coach incidentally bears the same black flame-crest that appears on the chest of those people who contract with the Hell Girl. At all other times, Wanyuudou appears as an older man whose eyes remain mostly shut, wearing a fisherman's hat and fairly old-fashioned Japanese clothing. Despite appearing quite mild-mannered at most times, Wanyuudou possesses considerable skills in martial arts. Wanyuudou's name means "A wheel entering the road" a reference to the flaming wheel form he most commonly assumes. In episode 12 of Futakomori it is revealed that he is from the Samurai era and had been the driver for a princess' entourage, and failed to save them with all dying in the process. As a result, he became a yōkai terrorizing people in the form of a flaming wheel. It is Conrad who reveals to Juliet her secret heritage on the day of her sixteenth birthday when he presents to her the sword of the House of Capulet. He fights with a sword in battle. He later acts as the de-facto leader of the Capulet faction, planning an assassination attempt on Lord Montague (he wants to only kill the Duke so that less blood is spilled); however, after being betrayed by his old friend Camio, he is injured in a Montague raid against the Capulet supporters. Since his escape, he has been under the care of Ariel. When he recovers, he presents the Capulet family sword to Juliet again, reviving her resolve for the Capulet's cause. When Juliet disappears after Montague's defeat, he orders Francisco and Curio to search for her. He is evacuated from the castle during the battle for Juliet. Ageless and mysterious like his peers, his true nature is unknown, and some of his actions makes it look like he has his own obscure agenda.   ~! This lecherous, bald-headed old man has no reservations in molesting young women, killing the Kouga, or lying to Oboro, the Iga princess. Brigadier General Basque Grand (the Iron Blood Alchemist) is an ambitious alchemist known for going to any lengths to complete an assignment. His alchemy title refers to Grand's ability to transmute the iron in his blood to an assortment of guns and other weapons. Grand was also in charge of the &quot;defunct&quot; Laboratory 5 in Central, which he ran in hope of creating a philosopher's stone for his own purposes.

Edward Newgate, also known as Whitebeard, is the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates.

~!He is part of the Yonko, the 4 emperors of the New World, alongside Big Mom, Blackbeard, Kaido and Red-haired Shanks. The Yonko are part of the San Dai Seiryoku, the Three Great Powers. The other two great powers are the Marine Headquarters and the Shichibukai, the seven warlords of the sea.

Whitebeard is said to be the strongest man in the world and the pirate closest to obtaining the legendary treasure, One Piece. It is said that Whitebeard used to have numerous battles with the late Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, and was marked as his equal in the past.

Whitebeard appears to have some health problems, possibly stemming from his advanced age or from his ferocious encounters with other great pirates during his earlier days. He is always surrounded by nurses and is hooked up to intravenous tubes. But despite this, he still drinks rum by (and directly from) the barrel. Even with his health issues, he is still considered the world's strongest pirate, which raises the question of how powerful he must have been in his prime.

He was a cheerful and carefree person during his younger years, prior to commanding his own ship and becoming known as Whitebeard. Due to being an orphan who grew up in poverty, Newgate has a strong desire for a family. In adulthood, unlike his comrades who loved treasure and riches, he only desired a family and saw that as the greatest treasure.

200 years old immortal alchemy teacher wanting to know what he could not know. Doing anything in his will to get it.  A seemingly geriatric alchemist who gains immortality during the 1711 incident aboard the Advena Avis. After the incident he desires to know the formula of the immortality elixir. As he is unable to claim it, he spends the next 230 years attempting to discover it. Miu's grandfather and the undefeated elder of the Ryouzanpaku Dojo, who is said to have beaten 500 Shaolin masters to near death. His kicks have speeds that are still a blur even when viewing a replay of it at 1/1000 of the normal speed. If necessary, he is able to intimidate the other masters in order to maintain peace. Even using just 0.0002% of his power, he can easily overwhelm both Ken'ichi and Miu at the same time and rip a tree in half.

An old man who records the hidden history. He comes from the Bookman clan and doesn't have a name. Instead, he simply introduces himself as "bookman" during his first meeting with Allen. Lavi accompanied him when he appeared in the manga. He refers to Allen as "The Destroyer of Time" as he believes that Allen is the only one who can defeat the Earl of Millennium. Bookman also mentions that a "Bookman" does not put himself in the frontline and he just happens to be on the same side as the Black Order. His anti-Akuma weapon is called Heaven Compass (天針), which is a set of acupuncture needles. One of his moves is "Needles of Spells: North Crime" (呪縛の針 「北ノ罪」) which impales the target with thousands of needles. His Innocence can also be used on a defensive technique called "Needles of Divine Protection: East Crime" (加護の針「東ノ罪」), making the needles encircle the target and protect it against external attacks. He also has some healing skills through acupuncture.

Ayano&#039;s father and Genma&#039;s cousin. He is the current head of the Kannagi family. Jūgo worries about his headstrong daughter. Contrary to the Kannagi doctrine that is based solely on strength, Jūgo has been trying to stop discrimination against the Fūga Clan. He also regrets not being able to stop Kazuma&#039;s expulsion from the family. Believing that Kazuma is essential to the Kannagis, he constantly creates situations in which Ayano can form a relationship with Kazuma.     As the head of the Kannagi family, Jūgo is responsible for directing the other members of the head family and branch families as well as the Fūga Clan. Jūgo is never seen in the series leaving the Kannagi compound, and rarely even leaves his meeting room. Makarov is the "Master" of the Fairy Tail guild and is also one of the Ten Great Holy Mages. Makarov shows extreme dislike for the Council and all the rules they try to impose on guilds. He frequently attempts to balance reprimands from the council and the eccentricity of his guild. He encourages Fairy Tail to do what they feel is right, but he has shown some concern that Natsu, Erza, and Gray will someday level a whole town. His magical abilities include Titan magic, giving him the ability to grow his body parts gigantic and his body into a giant-sized version of himself, and can control various other forms of magic including fire, ice and wind, which give him an immense magical power. The members of his guild affectionately refer to him as Ji-san or grandpa. Makarov also sees all of his guild members as his own children and will do anything to protect them. He has a perverted side, shown when he states he wishes to be smashed by Lucy's breasts and subsequently spanks her many times as a punishment.  

Given his advanced age, he considers retirement, but considers Laxus as too uncaring, Gildartz impossible for some unknown reason, Mystogan as too reclusive, and Erza as too young and brash to succeed him as guild master. After hearing the damages made by the team Erza-Lucy-Grey-Natsu-Happy from Mirajane, he cried that it's impossible to retire by now. 

Ginyu is the commander of the Ginyu Special Corps, and the strongest member on the team. He is purple and has veins on his head and horns that resembles Freeza&#039;s first form. His highest powerlevel, which is said by Jheese, is 120,000. He is one of the more flamboyant members of the Ginyu Special Corps, second only to Reacoom.      ~!Ginyu knows and uses a unique technique in the series, the ability to switch bodies with others. He fights with Goku after giving the Dragon Ball to Freeza only to be overwhelmed by his power. He uses his ability to switch bodies, but is unable to use Goku&#039;s power. After being battered by Gohan, Kuririn, and Vegeta, he tries to switch with Vegeta twice. The first time Goku, in Ginyu&#039;s body jumps in the way, and the second time the injured Goku throws a Namekian frog in his way. He accidentally and forever changes bodies with a frog. Unable to speak, he can not transfer into a new body. In the anime only, when Bulma deems him harmless and translates his frog speech, he is transferred into her body. However, he reverts back to the frog when Gohan throws it into Ginyu&#039;s path of Piccolo, changing Bulma back and trapping him once more. He was later transported to Earth along with everyone else when Dende asked Porunga to transport everyone but Goku and Freeza there. Though he already possesses the power to cross dimensions like the High Priest of Clow and Princess Tomoyo, he seeks the power of Sakura&#039;s wings, which surpasses the power of all who can cross dimensions, and the power that lies under the ruins of the Clow Country in order to &quot;bring back a dream that has already ended&quot;.     Manga Spoilers   ~!This is later revealed to be a euphemism for bringing back the dead. He does not care on how much blood has to be shed to get that power; those he has killed (or arranged to be killed) include Kurogane&#039;s mother, Xing Huo and the real Fai. His true objective is not to obtain Sakura&#039;s feathers; rather, the scattering Sakura&#039;s memories was to provide a motive that would force her to travel between dimensions to recover them and attain the physical memories Sakura gains through her powers as she visits various dimensions. Therefore the scattering of memories and having the TRC trio accompany Sakura on her journey was a pre-planned situation created by Fei Wong in order for him to attain his wish, which apparently is to revive someone from the dead. Koyuki&#039;s guitar and swimming teacher, Saitou once swam in the Olympics but was unable to achieve his dream of winning so has turned his life to teaching others how to swim better. Saitou is loud and demanding in public, and especially strict when it comes to swimming. But when he is out of the water he is much more open, even turning to Koyuki for advice on his attractions to Momo. Saitou is a fan of British rock and his favorite band in the anime is the fictional Rocket Boys

He is the greatest representation of evil within Rune-Midgard. He shows a noticeable superiority to all other monsters in the anime, and proves to be the world's greatest threat, despite being sealed away long ago by the &quot;Seven Ambitions.&quot; He is so cunning and devious, he manages to convince three of the seven souls he needs to be revived to work for him. From several scenes, it seems that the Dark Lord consists of two identities, both being equally evil. There is no apparent difference between the two identities, seemingly only shown to explain the different voices of this villain. Dark Lord is an actual MVP (boss) in Ragnarok Online.  

In the Manga Durham is said to be the greatest gunman that ever lived who can channel his Chi through his precious revolver, allowing him to fire destructive balls of energy without regard to ammunition. His mask also contains a hidden gun in case of emergencies. He heads off to face Train in a part of the story in order to prove that Train is not as great as he sounds. He finds and beats Annette and searches her computer for Train's hideout address, where he finds Eve, whom he beats. He writes a message to Train on the wall, with Eve's blood, for Train to meet him at a forest near the town they are currently in. He is killed by Creed for his selfish insolence, by challenging Train to a gun duel. Durham's Tao Power is called "Shot". His death triggers the exit of Charden and Kyoko from the Apostles of The Stars.  In the Anime The same as in the manga, except that when he heads off to face Train, he does not torture Annette or Eve. Because of this, he is a more sympathetic character in the anime. What has been indicated is that he is a kind-hearted man, but extremely strict. He is also the chief of the Kanto Magic Association. The Dean’s hobby is arranging omiai for Konoka to choose a future fiancée, despite Konoka not wanting to. He even offered the position to Negi. One previous successful arranged marriage was his daughter's marriage to the chief of Kansai Magic Association (Eishun Konoe), which resulted in Konoka's birth and the easing of tensions between the Kansai and Kantō Magic Associations, which has been at odds for quite some time over the Kantō Association's adoption of western magic techniques. The first anime series suggests that he may have known Sayo when she was still alive.

Mobeedo is the captain of the Argonaut, father to the twins (Tail &amp; Mail) and Iolaus. A man who has lived many years and uses his experience to help the princess carry out her mission. Mobeedo makes no effort to hide his desire that Dhianella be given the throne of Altrea, nor his distaste for Meleagros&#039; and Atalantees&#039; political and military tactics.    Mobeedo and Nilval went to officer training school together and still enjoy a friendly rapport with each other, which Mobeedo admits is not entirely professional, hinting that they may have had a possible romance in the past.
