K.K. Slider, (とたけけ, Totakeke), or commonly called just K.K., is a dog who has appeared in all the Animal Crossing series games to date. His main role is to play and sing songs for the player. He made a cameo appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and in Animal Crossing: The Movie. He was also one of the three Animal Crossing characters to be a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, the others being Mr. Resetti and Tom Nook. There are a total of 70 songs in Wild World and 75 in City Folk.

He is fascinated by Ed&#039;s stories about his travels around his original world, but is unsure of whether he can believe in the fact that Ed came from another world where alchemy is real, and his brother looks like him. He is studying under the father of modern rocketry, and wants to prove the scientific worth of his fellow Germans by inventing a rocket that can actually be ridden. He also has his own reasons to do it as fast as possible - he is slowly succumbing to an unspecified disease that eventually causes him to cough up blood. This is most likely Tuberculosis as it fits all his symptoms and makes him keeping it a secret make much more sense.

Regarded as a legend on the Wangan, though he is actually a humble young man. Still, despite his gentle demeanor, he's dead serious about racing. In fact, he is so serious that he skips school (to the point of repeating a grade) to drive the Devil's Z. Like virtually everyone else in the manga, he has trouble forming intimate relationships, although he has made some slight inroads with Reina Akikawa.
