Saya&#039;s twin sister and the story&#039;s main antagonist, Diva was born in 1833.  She provides the Delta67 (derived from her blood) which is used to transform people into Chiropterans. When she was born she was kept in an isolated tower as part of an experiment. Because of that she hated Joel, such that when Saya freed her she slaughtered him and the people at his birthday party. Her isolation left her childish and socially inept as well as ignorant of the moral ramifications of her actions.      ~!She rapes Riku and kills him. As a result of her attack on Riku, Diva becomes pregnant. She does not give birth for over a year, when Amshel cuts the cocoons out of her body.    The fight ends as Diva and Saya pierce one another with their swords, which each had coated with their own blood. Saya is unharmed by the attack due to Diva&#039;s blood having lost its power when she became pregnant. Diva begins to crystallize from the effects of Saya&#039;s blood. Her babies emerge from their cocoons and Diva reaches for them, imagining herself with her daughters and smiling at the vision before dying. It is implied that Diva had long been seeking the unconditional love of a family, similar to Saya&#039;s.!~

Saya is the main protagonist in the series Blood + who hunts chiropterans using a katana. It is implied that she is the last remaining vampire and called "the only remaining original." Saya has no weakness to sunlight, although it is unknown if she has any of the other vulnerabilities often attributed to vampires. She does, however, become distressed when she encounters religious paraphernalia and angry when people mention God in her presence.   Saya displays superhuman senses and strength, as well as cunning, resourcefulness, and skill. The manga series suggests she was a human-vampire hybrid. Her age is unknown, but a picture of her with nine other people is shown in the film with the date 1892 and the word "vampire" attached to it. Sakura is an extremely energetic and cheerful character. She is very athletic, being a member of her school's cheerleading squad and an excellent runner. Kotoko is another laptop persocom, like Sumomo, but she was custom-built by Yoshiyuki and has much higher specifications than Sumomo.  ~!Kotoko originally belonged to Yoshiyuki, but following Chi's kidnapping, Hideki and Shinbo force Yoshiyuki to transfer ownership of Kotoko to Hideki so that her memories of Yoshiyuki kidnapping Chi cannot be erased.!~  Kotoko is far more serious than Sumomo, and thinks that everyone in the Motosuwa household is crazy, especially Sumomo, although she herself occasionally exhibits a sarcastic wit. Kotoko is programmed to always tell the truth, no matter what, even when it works to Yoshiyuki's disadvantage.

Marianne Vi Britannia was the 5th wife of the Emperor of Britannia and the mother of Lelouch and Nunnally. The surname Lamperouge presently assumed by Lelouch was her maiden name. Her commoner status by birth caused her to earn the jealousy of other imperial wives and nobles, which Lelouch suspects had resulted in her murder. Lelouch's investigation revealed, however, that several members of the Imperial House not related to her by blood respected and admired Empress Marianne, such as Clovis, Euphemia, especially Cornelia, who idolized her and put a lot of fruitless effort into investigating the assassination.  It is hinted that her supporters were the Ashford family, which explains why their social statuses were ruined after her death and why they consented to protect Lelouch and Nunnally. She had also piloted one of the earliest Knightmare Frames, the Ganymede, which was developed by the Ashford family and is well known for her superior Knightmare Frame piloting skills, hence the nickname, "Marianne the Flash". In episode 23, it is revealed that C.C has apparently been talking to Marianne herself, via an unknown method. In episode 7 of R2, C.C. was talking with Marianne again.  At the end of season one, ~!Lelouch, by questioning Cornelia, discovers that Marianne had ordered Cornelia to shut down the security on the day of her attack, implying that she knew about the attack beforehand.  She is known to have shielded Nunnally during the attack that took her life, however, Nunnally's legs were disabled and she lost her sight. It is also to be noted that her death greatly affected and changes the life of Lelouch, who went on a great length to avenge her death and formed the resolution to create a new world where Nunnally can live in peace.  Because of her death, little is known about Marianne as a person; the side materials paint her as a sweet, kind-hearted woman, albeit one with a rebellious spirit and a deep protective instinct towards her children. Lelouch himself alludes to two such instances, one where she rode a horse into the palace's great hall, and another where she picked a fight with several of the Emperor's other wives all at once. In a flashback from one of the novels, she uses the Ganymede to intimidate a fellow consort who had been cruelly harassing Lelouch and Nunnally - all while maintaining a cheery, motherly disposition with a warm smile on her face. Marianne's conversations with C.C., one-sided in the anime but scripted out by the staff (and actually revealed in the Nintendo DS game), show that she has a playful side, often teasing C.C. when the immortal girl tries to deny any sort of attachment to Lelouch.!~

Anemone is a soldier of the United Federation and the pilot of the Nirvash typeTheEND. She regularly suffers from painful headaches, nose bleeds, and emotional instability, most of which can be temporarily treated with a drug injected into a receptor in her neck.

[Dewey Novak](https://anilist.co/character/4005/Dewey-Novak) assigns [Dominic Sorel](https://anilist.co/character/1910/Dominic-Sorel) to be her caretaker so he can monitor her condition. At times, Dominic injects neurological stimulants into her neck, which calms her mind and brings out her more focused, blood-lusting personality. In her drugged state, Anemone is almost unbeatable in the skies with TheEND. [Renton Thurston](https://anilist.co/character/477/Renton-Thurston) and [Eureka](https://anilist.co/character/1709/Eureka) have trouble fighting her with the Nirvash typeZERO, and [Holland Novak](https://anilist.co/character/1512/Holland-Novak) in his Terminus typeR909 LFO wasn't able to stand against her for very long. Thanks in part to her more advanced LFO, Anemone can outfly most regular LFOs.

Anemone is known to be a callous, moody, and violent girl towards others, prone to violent tantrums. When not under the effects of the neurological stimulant drugs, Anemone is often prone to violent tantrums and is very fearful at times when told to carry out a mission with TheEND. She is willing to do anything to please Dewey even if it is at the cost of her own life, and treats Dominic with contempt due to her belief that he doesn't understand what she is going through. She holds an unconcealed hatred towards Eureka and is determined to defeat her, along with the Nirvash and Renton. She never hesitates to back down from a mission, no matter how dire the situation is if it is what Dewey wants.

~!Anemone was biologically modified in some way to make her more like a Coralian (hence why her eyes look similar to Eureka's), and conditioned to pilot TheEND. Anemone is the only case that ever survived the medical treatments that the doctors put her through but was damaged both mentally and physically.

Even after everything she has experienced, Anemone seems to be fine with what Dewey's men have made her become. It is unclear whether she is ignorant that Dewey made her that way, or simply knows and doesn't care. She seemingly responds to Dewey with affection and respect, though later in the series she shows that she loathes Dewey when she is seen throwing a strand of his hair from her shoulder with disgust, hinting that her earlier displays of admiration were attempts to remain useful in his eyes so he wouldn't throw her away and possibly have her killed.!~

~!Dominic eventually falls in love with Anemone, but she doesn't return his feelings until very late in the series. Anemone begins to reciprocate Dominic's feelings after he is sent to retrieve her replacement by Dewey. These feelings culminate when she is sent on a suicide mission (unbeknownst to her, but she seems somewhat aware of the fact) to enter the Scub realm and electronically tag the Scub Coral Command Cluster with a transmitter, allowing Oratorio number eight (part of an orbiting weapons system) to target and destroy it.!~

Luca (Age 3, in cat years) is Amy's cat. He has a cybernetic brain, which allows him to speak to Amy when hooked up. Amy found Luca abandoned at a young age, and the two have grown up together. Luca is Amy's best friend and the two prove to be a winning combination.

Nanoka's friend from school. Futaba, the bespectacled and pigtailed, is frenetic and a rumormonger, but not unthoughtful, and is very close to Nanoka.

Lavie is Claus Valca's navigator and vanship mechanic. The moody, outspoken redhead is proud of her lineage as seen in her protectiveness of her vanship (thought to have belonged to their fathers). Unlike Claus, she is relatively reluctant to stay on the Silvana and favors the freedom of the vanship lifestyle.

Kagami is the older fraternal twin sister of Tsukasa. In school, her grades are excellent and she studies very hard. She was even the class president of her class in her first year. She is in a different class than Konata and Tsukasa, but she frequently comes to their class during lunch time to eat with them. Additionally, Kagami chose the humanities course in her second year so that she could be with Konata, but she was the only one separated into a different classroom; the same occurred in her third year. Kagami, seldom referred to as "Kagamin", is a bit egotistic, but is somewhat weak in cooking.   Kagami's physique is average. She has long light purple hair, and wears a ribbon tied into pig-tails, and her sharp eyes are light violet. Kagami is the stereotypical "tsukkomi" character, however, she is prone to become shy at times, hence being a tsundere character as well. She is also sensitve about her weight and goes on diets frequently, though she often ends up gaining her weight back again since, while she won't admit it, she's fond of snacks. Much like Konata, Kagami likes video games, but plays a different genre than Konata: Kagami likes to play scrolling shooters. She loves to read light novels, but she is lonely that no one around her has the same interest as her.
