The group's extremely short friend. Renge has a penchant for eating obsessively, yet she is always thin (Although, sometimes, when she eats a lot, she is shown to have a belly). Renge is the stereotypical, overexcited kid, with a tendency to whine, but she mostly serves as a cheering squad. She later acquires a kitten that she carries with her most of the time. Much to her friends surprise, she has two younger sisters named Men-Men and Mikan, who both look identical to Renge. She is good friends with Tsukio, and usually gives him money for breakfast. A young Taiwanese girl who is the main protagonist of Angel Heart. In reality, she is the daughter of Li Jiang Qiang, the leader of the crime syndicate Zheng Dao Hui. However at the age of two, she and her mother were involved in a car accident when their car plunged off a cliff into a river. Her mother was killed in the accident but Xiang Ying was never found, despite the best efforts of her father and his organization to locate her. In a cruel twist of fate, Xiang Ying was found and taken in by the Zhuque Corps (a section of Zheng Dao Hui which specializes in assassinations) and trained to be an assassin. Because of the accident, she has no memory of her childhood, and as a result does not know her true parentage. This is also why her entry in the Zhuque was never known by her father until it was too late. While in training for the Zhuque Corps, she was referred to as Number 27 but after her training was complete, she was referred to as Glass Heart. After attempting to commit suicide, the heart of Kaori Makimura was transplanted into her, and with it, the overpowering desire to live and to be reunited with Ryo Saeba. As a result, she busts out of the lab she was kept in and travels to Japan where she finally meets Ryo. Ryo, in turn adopts Xiang Ying as their (Ryo and Kaori&#039;s) daughter.      Xiang Ying was only 15 years old at the start of the series, despite looking like she was in her early twenties. By volume 20 of the manga she is already 19 years old, though appearance-wise she has not changed.      Xiang Ying has had very little contact with the outside world, except through her handlers. As a result, any potential situation which she perceives as a threat assessment would meet a harsh response, as evidenced when she nearly kills a man merely trying to pick her up. Not surprisingly, the people around her, Ryo, Saeko, Umibozu, Chin, and even Xin Hong realize they have an upward task in trying to teach her how to function in the outside world.      There are several coincidences between Xiang Ying and Kaori. One, is that the Japanese character for Kaori is pronounced as &quot;Xiang&quot; in Chinese, hence her name &quot;Xiang Ying&quot;. Also, her major histocompatibility complex is very similar to Kaori&#039;s as their human leukocyte antigen encodings are virtually identical. Because of this, Xiang Ying does not need to worry about her body rejecting Kaori&#039;s heart as her immune system has been fooled into thinking her heart is the same.      With Kaori&#039;s heart, she remembers all of Kaori&#039;s memories, her residence, favorite coffee, quotes, and emotions. Along with these memories she inherits is also the ability to hammer Ryo with Hammerspace weapons if Ryo gets out of line (much like Kaori did), much to Ryo&#039;s annoyance. She has also gained the penchant for wanton destruction that Kaori has always exhibited when the latter is infuriated, this is in contrast to her previous tendency to execute her previous missions with stealth and finesse. Chiyo Mihama , usually called Chiyo-chan, is a child prodigy, having skipped five grades to 10th grade (first year in Japanese high school) at the start of the series yet is still top of the class. Such grade-skipping would be unthinkable in Japan, and the series humorously explores its potential consequences. The other characters find Chiyo amazingly cute, but sometimes take advantage of both her youthfulness and her scholastic abilities. Her diminutive stature leads to her having a lack of confidence, particularly in sports where she fears she is a burden to others. Chiyo is frequently viewed with jealousy by fellow students, initially because of her intelligence, but later also because of the discovery that her family is exceedingly wealthy (they own an enormous mansion and a summer house which Chiyo invites her classmates to visit on several occasions). The stylistic rendering of Chiyo&#039;s pigtails allow for several visual gags in both the manga and anime: Osaka often imagines them to be flapping wings, or as entities independent of Chiyo herself. At home, she can almost always be found in the company of her enormous dog, Tadakichi-san. Of all of the girls, she is the only one who does not sit through college &quot;entrance exams&quot; as she intends to study overseas, possibly in America.

Asu is the younger sister. She does the shopping for the family and also takes care of the cooking and cleaning. Asu is extremely fond of her big sister and tries to do everything she can to make life easier for her, since she is as yet too young to work for money herself. Asu is quite skilled; she has been chosen as class representative and is frequently consulted by her classmates when they have trouble with their homework. She claims to be tone-deaf, but manages to sing after some tutoring from neighbour Masao.

H&auml;nsel and Gretel are two unnamed Romanian identical twin orphans, suggested to be male and female, who were abandoned in a state-run orphanage due to the Nicolae Ceauşescu regime&#039;s ban on abortion. As a result of being repeatedly forced to participate in paedophilic snuff films in which they are either raped or forced to murder other children, the twins eventually became deranged, sadistic killers just to survive. Unknown to most people, &quot;H&auml;nsel&quot; and &quot;Gretel&quot; are actually two personalities alternately adopted by the two children, both of whom suffer from Dissociative Identity Disorder, meaning they swap being &quot;H&auml;nsel&quot; and &quot;Gretel&quot; with each other from time to time. There is also slight implications that they could be incestuous, though this may be due to the abuse they&#039;ve suffered.    In combat, &quot;H&auml;nsel&quot; wields a sharp, wicked-looking battle axe while &quot;Gretel&quot; uses a M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle that appears to be taller than &#039;she&#039; is. Both also carry additional sidearms. While they were mentally deranged, H&auml;nsel and Gretel were also cunning, having used two other children as decoys to distract the &quot;Hotel Moscow&quot; ex-soldiers and using money to distract Eda. They were also not above using their innocent appearance to deceive their enemies.     ~!  As revenge for killing Balalaika&#039;s men, H&auml;nsel is shot from a distance and left to bleed to death in one of Roanapur&#039;s parks, while Gretel manages to escape and eventually boards the Black Lagoon of her own volition. Due to Rock&#039;s kindness, she begins to shed her psychotic personality and takes a genuine liking to him. However, just as Gretel starts to begin a normal life, she is gunned down by a hitman, hired by Hotel Moscow.    Within the story of Black Lagoon, H&auml;nsel and Gretel may be two of the most evil characters, as they live for nothing other than random, senseless acts of murder. However, they may also be the most tragic characters as they believe that these acts of violence will prevent them from being harmed by others.    The characters&#039; names are taken from the German fairy tale, H&auml;nsel and Gretel. Many of the series&#039; characters compare them to a similar pair of disturbed, sadistic twins from the American film The Shining. In the manga, the song sung by Gretel to Rock on the Black Lagoon is called &quot;Midnight, the Stars, and You,&quot; the song used in the ending credits to &quot;The Shining.&quot; In the anime, she sings &quot;The World of Midnight,&quot; made for the anime and sung by Minako &quot;mooki&quot; Obata.  !~ 

Neliel Tu Oderschvank, commonly known as Nel Tu, is a good-natured, child-like arrancar when first introduced. The remains of her hollow mask make up a cartoonish skull on the top of her head. Nel and her companions believe Soul Reapers, not hollows, to be evil, and as such are afraid of them. In spite of this, she develops an attachment to Ichigo Kurosaki and starts following him around after her introduction. She often mispronounces Ichigo's name as 'Itsygo' due to her lisping, and she is a self-proclaimed masochist.   ~!Nel's true form is that of a fully-grown woman, her mask appearing less cartoonish with a pair of curved horns. A large "3" tattooed on her back indicates that she was previously the Tercera Espada.   Tired of her superiority over him, Nnoitra Jiruga snuck up on and attacked Nel from behind with the help of Szayel Aporro in the past, managing to crack her mask, causing her to turn into her child-form, giving her amnesia, and allowing him to expel her from the Espada. When Nel runs into Nnoitra years later as he begins to torture Ichigo, she turns into her adult form with her memories restored. Though considerably more mature than her child form, she retains her child-like voice and affection for Ichigo, as she comically hugs him without realizing that her strength is causing him personal injury. As she is about to defeat Nnoitra, Nel reverts back to her child form, losing all of her adult powers.  In her child-state, Nel's vomit (which she believes to be saliva) acts as a rather weak, but useful, healing agent. In both her child and adult form, she can swallow cero attacks and fire them back. In her adult form, she can also add her own cero to this blast, doubling its power, aptly named a "cero doble". Nel's zanpakutō, which manifests when she transforms, is named Gamuza (羚騎士（ガミューサ）, Gamyūsa, Spanish for "chamois," Japanese for "antelope knight"). Her released form is that of a ibex-like centaur with longer curved horns, a thick tail, and armor over her shoulders and hands. Her sword transforms into a double-ended white lance, giving her the appearance of a medieval knight or a jouster. One of her attacks in this form is called Lanzador Verde (Spanish for "green lancer"), in which she throws her lance directly at her opponent. Dengakuman is the "cute mascot character" of the series. In terms of personality, Dengakuman is normally a happy little creature who carries around tofu. He can be violent (bipolar even), but he is often portrayed as an extremely weak character with no real power. 

His trademark line is, "We'll make 'em eat grilled tofu dipped in miso on a stick!". 

A native Bomberman from planet Bomber, Shirobon is very clumsy and quite dense. He wrecks things by accident, in sharp contrast to his older brother Mighty. His little accidents tend to make a critical situation worse, much to Shout's frustration. He also will brag endlessly about any achievement, no matter how little. Shirobon may mess up sometimes but he always means well and always tries to help. It is said that he is ten years old. Shirobon doesn't seem to get angry at Shout no matter how many times she yells, curses and hits him. He joined Jetters in episode 2, thanks to Momo's relationship with Dr. Ein.

Ken's pet robot dog. Peach was also affected by a white light, gaining the ability to talk, as well as a considerable boost in intelligence. Peach's shout prompts the girls to transform either in person or through a long-distance communication device, although a modification to the girls' compacts allows them to transform on their own. Additionally, Peach can re-summon the girls' powers, even when their powers are drained. Peach is also capable of sniffing out those who are affected by the black lights, white lights, and Him's black particles. The black light monsters/villains that have been sniffed by Peach are stored in his data banks for later reference. This ability, however, is hindered if his target is wearing heavy cosmetics (as was the case with Sedusa). Peach is also capable of sniffing and identifying others more clearly than other dogs, even when someone's appearance has been completely changed. Peach's phrases always end with a bark (or &quot;wan,&quot; literally his bark). He is also able to understand cats. Culumon's role is not that of a fighter, and his immature antics and over-expressed emotions leave little doubt about this fact. In Digimon Tamers, Culumon is the only Digimon on the protagonist's side who had no tamer.

Bonta-kun the mascot turned into an unstoppable fighting machine by Sagara Sousuke.  Fumo Fumo! Unfortunately, Sousuke managed to accidentally build it so it cannot function without the voice changer activated.  All that comes out is "Fumoffu!"

Ebi is Miharu's strange little pet from the world of Seiren. No one knows what it really is, some think it's a seal, or a dog, or a cat, or something within the animal kingdom. Ebi doesn't know how to talk but she has many ways of expressing herself. She likes to get into alot of mischief with Tomoka.

The youngest and yet most intelligent maid in the Hanaukyo mansion. Cynthia rarely spoke during her younger years, and as she's transferred into the mansion she only communicates with loud breathings. Due to a tragedy in her younger years, her personality split, and she gained the alter ego Grace, who shows up at night when Cynthia's asleep to take care of computer and security maintenance. Cynthia enjoys tagging along with Taro, and she is the one to show him around the mansion as he first enters.

Ginka is Isumi&#039;s great-grandmother. She is 91 years old. She demonstrates a high capacity for fighting, as shown in volume 11, when she tries to defeat Hayate. However, this was all done because she was worried about her great granddaughter, whom she cares very much for. Tomoko Kaneda is a Japanese voice actress and radio personality. She had worked at Aoni Production for 11 years and had worked at freelance since April 2011 and it was announced to belong to Across Entertainment in August 2011. She graduated from Department of Architecture, Kanto Gakuin University. She is a member of the voice acting unit Drops, which included fellow voice actresses Mariko Kouda, Akemi Kanda, Ai Nonaka and Ryoko Shiraishi and of the voice acting unit SD-Children along with Miyu Matsuki.

Her casting is usually that of a young child, due to her high-pitched voice. It has been reported that her voice is capable of producing sounds at a frequency beyond that of human hearing. She says in her blog's introduction, "My voice hardly changes even if I breathe in the helium gas". On November 21, 2013 she announced her marriage to actor Wataru Mori. On July 13, 2017 she gave birth to her first child, a girl.
