He decides who is qualified to be in the Tournament rankings. He watches the fights and have videos of them streamed to his laptop, which he then broadcasts all over the world on the internet. He does not participate in the fights but, he&#039;s been shown to be extremely strong and fast. He has a younger brother, Nobuhiko Fukamichi, who participates in the competition. He has a hobby of critiquing restaurants and posting the results on the internet.

Shin became the top ace at Area 88, though he gradually felt his humanity slipping as his time at the Area passed.     Because of this, he was cold to most of the people inside Area 88; he would make friends with Mickey Simon, Kim Aoba, Kitori Palvanaff, Roundell and his commanding officer, Saki Vashtal. Intelligent executive of the Mafia Gandor Family. The third of the brothers and childhood friend of Firo, having grown up in the same apartment block.  Although he and his brothers lead the Gandor family, Luck's close ties with Firo makes the Gandors allies of the Martillo Family. He is always calm and level-headed, preferring to resort to violence only when necessary. When that time approaches, he does not hesitate to eliminate his opponent while still maintaining his calm demeanor. Sometimes with a faint smile on his face, which according to Firo, is just a pretense to look cool. Luck intentionally pretends to be ruthless because he believes that he is not suited to be a mafia.

Yoshida is Hiramaru Kazuya's editor. He tells the chief-editor in the meeting about his genius, which led to Hiramaru's serialization. He is able to ignore Hiramaru's personality. He is also a Captain, meaning he gets to sit in the serialization meetings and lead the other editors in his team, like Yamahisa.  Yoshida is perhaps the most manipulative of the editors shown. When he realizes that forcing Hiramaru to work isn't applicable to an efficient and/or long-running series, he bribes him with rich items or information about Aoki Ko in order to get him back to work and pay off the debts he owes for buying such items. Yoshida is able to keep this running for an extended period of time (throughout the 200 chapters of Otters 11), even threatening Hiramaru with disassociation with Shueisha if he does not get serialized again after Otters 11 gets canceled.  

Yoshida's reason and rationality are even more key to his character. He is able to deduce that Niizuma Eiji was responsible for +Natural's artwork and worries that Hiramaru's manga will take a dive if he asks Aoki Ko out and gets rejected, knowing that Hiramaru most probably will get rejected. This reasoning has its limits, however, as Yoshida was greatly surprised that Aoki accepted Hiramaru's proposal, though it would later scratch away most of Hiramaru's negativity and cause a dive in his manga quality.

Boris is nothing short of a two-faced, cunning, and vile man with a lust for power and money. Despite the fact that he is an abbot running an abbey (a monastery or church), his acts are anything but religious and good-natured. Boris seems to be quite the opposite of the priest he poses as, mocking the crosses on the towers of the abbey with every vicious thing he does. He has little compassion for failure and will not think twice about disposing of any boy in the abbey who does not live up to his standards. He is strict not only with the children but with the employees as well—the scientists in the laboratories and the gunmen who guard the property—but he does, however, show small shreds of patience with the stronger and more reliable young men that he favors, such as Tala and Kai. Boris can also be described as something of a "control freak," as he has cameras located in every room and corridor of the abbey. Because of this fact, many fans are suspicious about what else Boris has done, and is capable of. Boris makes it a point to intimidate others. Through intimidation, he can exact power over those being intimidated, and this is most often how he wins in any situation he faces. Every young man at the abbey, as well as all the employees, respect Boris out of fear, all with good reason. He is indeed malicious in intent and lies a great deal, but he makes it work for him. In the Beast Wars II tie-in movie, he comes out of a time-space warp in order to aid Lio Convoy and friends in their fight against the forces of Galvatron and Majin Zarak.

In the Legends manga, he's the president of **Axalon Trading Company** (アクサロン商事) and takes on a much more comedic personality.






The Betterman who the series in named for. Lamia often shows up when the human protagonists are in danger, transforming into one of his fighting forms to save them. He seems especially intent on saving Hinoki, whose brother he bears more than a passing resemblance to. Pesche is a fairly harmless, humanoid hollow whose mask resembles an insectoid head with a large pair of mandibles. He wears an eyepatch and a loincloth. His hollow hole is slightly lower than normal, positioned near his stomach instead of his chest. He and Dondo were once Nel Tu's Fracci&oacute;n, but had their masks forcibly removed by Nnoitra and were left for dead with Nel. After realizing that their master had reverted to a defenseless child, he and Dondo pledged to protect Nel by never telling her about her former life. He spent the following time traveling around Hueco Mundo with them. He accidentally accompanies Uryū into Las Noches, having mistaken him for Ichigo. This initially upsets Pesche as he believes Uryū to be the weakest member of the group due to his appearance, while thinking that Chad is the strongest.    Pesche possesses an ability he calls &quot;Infinite Slick&quot; (無限の滑走（インフィナイト・スリック）, Infinaito Surikku?),[2] in which he sprays his saliva at an object, severely reducing its friction. Though seemingly useless, he is able to render Cirucci's weapon ineffective by coating it in his liquid, and it can be used similarly to make opponents lose their footing or grip on things. The liquid is limited in supply, contrary to its name. Pesche states that he named it as such because &quot;Finite Slick&quot; didn't sound nearly as cool. He can also perform a synchronized cero attack with Dondo. In addition to his powers, he carries an energy sword he calls Ultima (究極（ウルティマ）, Urutima?, Spanish for &quot;final,&quot; Japanese for &quot;ultimate&quot;) which he compares to one of Uryū's Seele Schneiders, humorously drawing it from his loincloth using its vaguely phallic hilt. Koyasu is the most prolific voice actor in the industry, having been credited for over 700 roles as of April 2022.

Growing up, Koyasu skipped out on going to school to watch movies at home because he wanted to become an actor. It wasn’t until later that he became interested in voice acting after having seen [Galaxy Express 999](https://anilist.co/anime/1491/). After graduation he entered a voice acting school. In 1988, he made his voice acting debut, and got his first regular role a year later voicing [Gai](https://anilist.co/character/13374/) in [Tenkuu Senki Shurato](https://anilist.co/anime/2113/).
