A supremely gifted artist, Hagu's immense talents are esteemed by all who witness her works, catching the eye of numerous professional artists who insistently urge her to submit her work to exhibitions to heighten her publicity (which she seems to find daunting). She is 18 years of age at the beginning of the series and her appearance is that of a child, and she conveniently behaves as one. Raised in a largely sheltered and obscure home by her irritable grandmother, her sociability is below average. It is whilst living in that home that Hagu develops her skill in drawing and painting, her only past-time, though she finds nothing to sketch save for the never-changing view she has from her porch, varying only in seasons. Hagu is from Azumino city, Nagano-ken.   ~! She is introduced to Takemoto, Morita and Mayama by Shūji, her mother's cousin and also a professor at the college. Upon seeing her, Morita and Takemoto fall in love with her, though both express it in different ways. Hagu knows not of their feelings towards her, but sees them as friends. However, Morita expresses his love for her in very odd ways, and Hagu is often seen trying to escape from whatever shenanigan Morita has planned for her. Though later Hagu develops feelings towards Morita, although she does not at first realize this, as Shūji points out.  Hagu is very shy, and because she is so nervous when interacting with people, the other art students think that she is strange. Hagu doesn't seem to be too close with family members either, with the exception of Shūji, whom she fondly calls "Shū-chan". However, as the series progresses, Hagu is able to become closer friends with Takemoto, Mayama, Morita and Yamada. When Shūji leaves to go do a research project in Mongolia, Hagu forms a deeper bond with each of them, essentially seeing them as a sort of family. Hagu lives with Yamada (whom she calls "Ayu") when Shūji is away and they become very close friends.  During parties, she is seen to be crying because of her envy of Yamada's beautiful legs and beautiful breasts. Mayama tries very hard to comfort her but failing rather miserably saying that "You'll have one of those when you're older....probably". While Hagu is crying, Morita is also crying because of her infectious tears.  Later in the series, Hagu started to avoid Takemoto after he confessed his feelings for her, leaving doubts if his love for her is reciprocated or not. In the latest manga chapters she admits that she likes Morita, but would rather be with Shūji because she knows that he can take care of her (especially after a life-altering accident that may permanently impair her abilities as an artist). !~

Examinee #246 during the Hunter Exam. Ponzu is the only prominent female who managed to enter the last few stages of the Hunter exam. Her secret weapon lies in the big round hat she wears, which carries powerful bees under the surface that emerge and attack people that threaten her. Although Ponzu is a relatively minor character in the series, her cute and girlish charm has won her some fans who voted for her in an early Hunter popularity poll. 

~!During the fourth stage of the Hunter exam her bees kill Barbon when she falls into his trap. She is rescued by Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika, but her tag is taken by Leorio when she is unconscious, and she is therefore not able to continue to the last stage of the Exam.!~   

~!In Chimera Ant arc after Pokkle was knocked out, she immediately runs for it. Knowing that Pokkle won't be eaten immediately, she rushed to write SOS messages in blood and uses her bees to bring the message to the strongest Hunter nearby. When she finally decided to go back to the border, she is shot and eaten moments later by an officer from Zazan's squad.!~

In the present timespace, Haruka is one of the protagonists of the anime. In this timespace, she was a typical elementary school student before a ghost hunting trip led by Miho led her to meet Karasu for what she believed to be the first time, although she had previously seen him on a church steeple. Initially unaware of her status as the Dragon Torque, Haruka realized this when she was threatened by Atori, activating her powers. She was attacked several times by the Dragon Knights, but was rescued by an angered, almost crazed Karasu. The two of them were whisked back to La'cryma, where Karasu was tortured and Haruka was imprisoned. She was horrified to find that that timespace's Earth is a post-apocalyptic wasteland, and that the scientist presiding over her was her former best friend.  Haruka has a deep, almost supernatural bond with the Yūs from both Earth and La'cryma. Both of them can apparently hear her when she is in distress, even when she is in another timespace. Yū is initially angry that Haruka is so fond of the blunt, tormented Karasu, unaware that this is because both of them are her beloved Yū, and that she loves them in the same way. 

A self-proclaimed genius who enjoys inventing things, hoping to make a time machine to take her to the future.

After joining Saint Academy and being put in the same class as Saki, he follows them around. He's a very shy boy, and rarely voices his own thoughts and opinions.   ~!As he grows older, he starts to have feelings towards Maria. Sayo is a third year student at Hanasakigawa Girls' High School and the guitarist of Roselia. She is the older, more serious twin of Hina.

Sayo sees being the eldest twin as more of a burden than anything. Ever since they were younger, Hina has always beated Sayo in everything; whereas Hina can master new skills with ease, Sayo requires a great deal of information before she can even begin to practice. As a result, Sayo developed a severe inferiority complex towards Hina. One of Sayo's main reasons for starting to play the guitar was because "it was something Hina wasn't doing".

A serious and fussy girl, Sayo is somewhat cold in nature, even towards those she is close to. She never cuts corners or accepts shoddy workmanship, and she tends to stubbornly deny liking or being fond of certain things, such as fluffy animals or french fries. In comparison to Hina, Sayo is stiff, sharp, and very stubborn when trying to do what she believes is best for others. She is very formal, addressing everyone by their last names, except for her sister and Tomoe. Like Yukina, she is prone to make snide or rude remarks, though often these remarks do not reflect how she actually feels.

This Stage Girl keeps her intentions hidden and is rather elusive. Often angers people like Akira Yukishiro and Liu Mei Fan with her mischievous antics. Has a knack for sewing and design, and dreams of becoming a star who takes the stage in costumes of her own make.

Along with Am Chouno, she is part of an idol unit known as RUMMY LABYRINTH. She later on forms a team with Am Chouno and Saya Yatomi called "RUMMY LABYRINTH with Saya" to fight in the U20.

She uses a Pale Moon deck, with Masked Magician, Harri as her ace.

Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon is the fifth and last of the Sailor Animamates to appear. Her name incorporates the French word for butterfly, pronounced as in French papiyon; in Japanese culture, butterflies are often considered to be symbolic of the soul. In the Materials Collection artbook, the word &quot;Heavy&quot; is omitted from her name. She only shows up in Act 49 of the manga, and not the anime.    Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon comes from the planet Cocoon. If her history is consistent with those of the other Animamates, this suggests that she killed Sailor Cocoon to gain Galaxia's favor. The Materials Collection also states that Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon manipulates fire, and attacks with &quot;Galactica Scales,&quot; although this attack is not named in the manga. Furthermore, she is described as a parent as well as a samba dancer, and has &quot;high sex appeal.&quot;    Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon is the de facto leader of the Animamates, but appears only in act 49 of the manga and does not appear in the anime. Known as the &quot;soul hunter,&quot; she guards a graveyard in the center of the galaxy, surrounded by butterflies. These butterflies are the remnants of the dead Sailor Senshi whose Sailor Crystals had been taken, and she is to keep them from escaping.    She shows Eternal Sailor Moon, Sailor Kakyuu, and Chibichibi the graves that have been dug for them, binds them with vines, and prepares to burn them to death. The three are saved by the arrival of Sailor Chibi Moon and the Sailor Quartet, who break the vines with their group attack, &quot;Pink Ladies' Freezing Kiss&quot;. The Sailor Quartet later destroy Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon with their group attack, &quot;Amazoness Jungle Arrow&quot;.

Haruka is currently a voice actor and musician. She plays guitar in the band [Roselia](https://anilist.co/staff/153170/Roselia) as part of the Bang Dream franchise.

Haruka was an exclusive model for the Japanese magazine "Seventeen" from 2003 to 2007. After becoming a voice actor, she put her activities on hiatus after entering university, and later started voice acting again in 2011 when she became affiliated with Sigma Seven e. On August 2014, she left Sigma Seven e and became a freelancer, before signing up with ELBS Entertainment on October 2016. On May 1, 2017, she announced that she would be transferred to Ace Crew.

Haruka is energetic, jokes around a lot, and has a hard time staying in-character. She is skilled at drawing and can also speak English. Her other hobbies are watching movies, reading books, eating, and sleeping. Her favorite guitarists are Nirvana's Kurt Cobain and X JAPAN's ex-member HIDE. She is also a fan of both Nine Inch Nails and Luna Sea.
