Lelouch is a student of Ashford Academy high school, where he is a member of its student council. A brilliant thinker who is quite talented at chess, he lives with his younger sister, Nunnally, with their maid, Sayoko Shinozaki, at a house situated within the compounds of Ashford Academy, where they are looked after by the Ashford family.  Lelouch is soon swept into the conflict between the Britannia Empire and the pockets of resistance which oppose it when he accidentally boards a truck being used by Japanese resistance operatives. Within the truck is a capsule holding C.C., who sacrifices herself to save him from the military forces trying to recapture her. When it seems as if her sacrifice was pointless, C.C. suddenly touches his hand and offers him the "Power of the King", the mythical power of Geass. The Geass manifests itself in him as the power of absolute obedience, which allows him to make people obey his orders without question.   With his new power, Lelouch begins his rebellion against the Empire, forming the Order of the Black Knights and takes up the identity of Zero to lead them, becoming a revolutionary and gaining popular support amongst the people.

An easygoing high school student who adapts easily to new surroundings. As a child, he was sent to boarding school by his parents, and they barely kept in touch with him. He was consequently taken care of by Suoh Kuwata, a law breaker type, and a young woman, Chitose; Suoh died afterwards, but he was a very important person to Tokidoki. Tokidoki's childhood friend is Momiji. He keeps in touch with a policeman involved with Sendai Corp., named Hashita.  Tokidoki is not good at history, and as a result, goes on a field trip to a virtual reality Edo period. While in this world, he loses the vision in his left eye to the nue and yakou and finds himself trapped in this simulation of the Edo period. Called the "hakutaku" (unwritten page) by some in the virtual Edo, as his fate isn't foretold by Heaven's Net. 

~!The demons that want to protect the world want to make him the new "Teiten" or God of Amatsuki, since he is just as powerful as the current one. After being rescued by Kuchiha, for whom he worries in the beginning of the series (because she lets others hate and isolate her), he adapts quickly to his surroundings, but is living life as if it were a dream.   He is under the care of Lord Shamon, a priest who cares after Kuchiha and his friend from the real world, Kon. Toki soon befriends more characters, including Heihachi, and he even goes on to attract the attention of the women in the town (he later befriends the demons that are hated by humans).  After becoming acquainted with the virtual universe, he finds himself having to choose between siding with the demons, who will revere him as a god, or with the humans, including the Onmyou Bureau, who want to get rid of the demons. He is stuck in the gray area, not wanting to choose one side, but both. He is warned about how dangerous this is, and has been asked to choose a definite side.

Kotaro is a 12 year old middle school classmate of Misaki, whom he has a crush on, as well as Hatoko&#039;s brother. He is always being assaulted by Tamayo and her various martial arts techniques, which he has been a victim of since he was four years old. He becomes jealous of Ohjiro&#039;s advances towards Misaki, going so far as to try to attempt to play a quasi-match of Angelic Layer against Ohjiro, despite the fact that he had never played it before. His family owns a karate dojo and Kotaro has practiced karate some himself, showing Misaki some of his knowledge in hopes that Misaki can use it to help Hikaru win.

Yukio is Rin Okumura's twin and younger brother and Shiro Fujimoto's adopted son. He is a Middle First Class Exorcist who has started his training to become an Exorcist at seven by his father suggestion and, since then, gained the titles of Dragoon and Doctor at only fourteen, becoming the youngest Exorcist in the True Cross Order history. Yukio is also the youngest teacher of the True Cross' Exorcist Cram School, at which he teaches pharmacology. Before he was born, he has had a weak body that couldn't bear the power of the blue flames, causing the power of Satan to be fully inherited by Rin. He is seen as an ​example and prodigy by the ones who live together with him and is friends with Shiemi Moriyama, who calls him Yuki-chan.

He loves masked heroes and admired Dante very much. A boy who is always curious and loves new things. He believes himself to be a Man of the Sea, and he's even more impulsive than Felicitá. His memories got sealed by Dante because of his Arcana power went uncontrollable and he was also the reason why Dante went bald.   ~! Aizawa Suguru is a genius midfielder, captain of the school soccer team, who even starred in the U-15 team for Japan. He is expected by many to shoulder the future of Japan's football world. He is aware of little brother's talent as a soccer player and is irritated of Kakeru's lack of motivation.    ~!In Volume 2 Suguru has an accident and because his brother is on the verge of dying he donates his heart, because he knows he won't live any longer. Tegamaru is a strong, red card battler, and the rival of Hajime Hinobori. Because of his abilities on the battle field, he is said to possess the hands of god. He has two teammates, Chihiro Kusaka and Kobushi Nigiri. His descendants were apparently powerful shikigami users, and he wants to restore his family's name.

Tegamaru is extremely arrogant, ignoring challenges and refusing to acknowledge players by their names unless he deems them worthy. He also loves different kinds of milk.

In battle, he's considered to possess an "imposing stance." He fears nothing from his opponents, and is capable of using any card that comes to him.


An 800 year old Old Blood born in Poland on April 1 called Red-eye Zelman, and is the bearer of the god's flame and a legend of the Dark Ages. Zelman has many other titles including the ancient dark hunter, the follower of the Fire God, the red-eyed murderer, and the prince with blood-colored eyes. He is also one of the rulers of the Special Zone. He comes from a glorious bloodline linking to the great warrior Asura and is noted to be one of the last of that bloodline. Having inherited the special blood of War God Asura, Zelman has a power called Eye Ignite, which enables him to create and control fire.     

Zelman Clock has a slightly wild sense of charisma, but his real self is someone with no morality and is a complete sociopath. Even so, despite his hatred and strong emotions, he is someone who values, above all, freedom and lives only according to his existence as a vampire. He taught Kotaro that a vampire&#039;s fate centers around blood and blood only. Also, before his confrontation with Jiro, despite his sense of anticipation of the confrontation, Zelman is able to hide it and keep it under control. He is the only one of the vampire leaders who willingly accepted Jiro and his brother to the Special Zone as he enjoys their personalities.     

He is a leader of the non-officially-sanctioned group called The Coven. Because he had to prove his bloodline, and had to go through a fight, he was the only one that was left; which is also due to his lifespan of 800 years.

He&#039;s one of Ichigo and co&#039;s friend. He has a boyish face and speaks in a gentle manner. It seems to give Keigo the creeps at times whenever he speaks respectfully towards him. Also, Mizuiro has fondness for older women, one thing Ichigo revealed in the beginning of the series to Rukia.    Later in the series, along with Tatsuki and Keigo. He&#039;s also fully endowed of his spiritual awareness and was able to witness the departure of Ishida, Chad and Ichigo to Hueco Mundo.    Though Mizuiro has no trouble getting several girls at once (which makes Keigo extremely jealous), he seems to have suffered from lonely depression before meeting Ichigo and Keigo. He hardly ever sees his parents because of their busy schedules, which causes him to have a inverted personality. Though Keigo was Mizuiro&#039;s first real friend, Keigo later admits that Ichigo was the first person that Mizuiro ever really opened up to.

Yumichika is the narcissist friend of [Ikkaku Madarame](https://anilist.co/character/1151/Ikkaku-Madarame). During their past the two went throughout the Rukongai together looking for fights, and one day Ikkaku lost to Kenpachi Zaraki. After a speech given to them by him about living to kill the one who failed to kill them, and later after hearing news of Kenpachi becoming a captain, the two joined the 11th Division to serve under him. Yumichika wanted to become the 3rd Seat, since he thought three was the most beautiful kanji, though Ikkaku took it, so Yumichika took 5th Seat, thinking that 5 looks almost like a 3. It is not entirely clear if Ikkaku maintains the seat due to if he is superior to Yumichika, or if Yumichika allows him to have because of their friendship. 

Yumichika judges everyone and everything by beauty, and is also incredibly vain. However, he is at times shown to be caring and helpful to others.  


The dog is almost always around Saya, watching over her though he doesn't like to be petted. The dog has a mysterious kind of air.   ~!It is later revealed that the dog is really Kimihiro Watanuki, the protagonist of xxxHolic, who has taken over the form of a dog temporarily so that he could grant Saya's wish, though it is not initally revealed what the wish is, or who made the wish.!~

Watanuki (a name meaning "April 1" in kanji) is known for having both a volatile and caring personality. Depending upon the person he talks to, his emotions tend to be overly exaggerated. He lives alone because his parents died when he was young, but harder than these conditions is the fact that his everyday life is plagued with strange spirits that only he can see, and they are drawn to him. Apparently this was inherited- it is noted that his blood smells good to spirits.

One average day, while Watanuki is being chased by a legion of spirits, he comes across a strange house which the spirits are repelled by. He feels compelled to enter, and there meets Yuuko, who claims that it is a store which grants wishes in exchange for a price. Watanuki asks for the spirits to stop chasing him, and Yuuko agrees to granting it but only if Watanuki works as a helper in the shop until he accumulates enough time for her to make his wish come true. This is the beginning of Watanuki's part time job. As time goes by, Watanuki meets many different people who help him to develop and change his opinions on the world, and also to understand the world from Yuuko's perspective, which also helps him to mature. 

~!When half way through both the anime and manga he loses the sight in his right eye due to a spider's grudge curse, his left iris turns a dull milky grey color. After failing to retrieve his sight in this eye , he receives half of Doumeki's right eye's sight, which causes his right eye to turn a dark green with a brownish tint (in the Anime), or gold-brown (in the Manga).!~

~!When Yuko disappears and he takes over the shop, his personality takes a drastic change as he adopts a number of Yuko's mannerisms. He still despises Doumeki and thinks that Mokona is annoying, but is shown to be considerably calmer; more reserved and a lot more mature, clearly shown by his acceptance of Himawari's marriage and wishing his condolences and his understanding of his customers' wishes.!~

Masami Saotome is one of the antagonists of Boogiepop Wa Warawanai. He is a student at Shinyo Academy who would later become the Manticore's primary accomplice.

A 16-year-old boy who attends a private academy with his sister. After becoming involved in Tokiko Tsumura's fight and subsequently being killed and revived by a Kakugane (which later turns out to be a dark Kakugane), he is told to simply return to his ordinary life, but instead insists upon assisting Tokiko in her battles. Kazuki is very enthusiastic and friendly, and cares deeply for his friends and sister, Mahiro, tending to put himself in danger or difficulty in order to assist or protect others. Although he has an unusual way of showing it, he does have feelings for Tokiko Tsumura.     ~!The Kakugane Tokiko used to revive Kazuki turned out to be Black Kakugane III, which transformed him into a being just like Victor. He is then pursued by the 'Muto-assassination team', as well as his former commander, Captain Bravo. During his assassination, he was dubbed 'Victor III' by the Alchemy Warriors. In the end, he sacrifices himself when he sends himself and Victor to the moon with Sunlight Heart +. In Buso Renkin Period, however, he returns to Earth successfully with help from Victor's Buso Renkin, Fatal Attraction. As soon as he returned to Earth, he and Papillon settled their scores, with Kazuki claiming victory. After this, he returns to a normal life with Tokiko.!~

A high school boy who used to be a delusional teen, believing himself to be the Dark Flame Master and becoming alienated from everyone as a result. Finding this to be embarrassing, he attempts to erase this past from existence, even choosing to go to a separate high school from all of his junior high school classmates. However, after encountering Rikka, his past delusions come back to haunt him. 

A guy who came into the scene and tell Tomoya to stop dating Tomoyo, since their relationship made the society view them in a bad way. Second Grade Students&#039; Union Member, he known as that name and Tomoyo&#039;s path. He is the vice-president of Hikarizaka&#039;s student council.
