Ayumu Kasuga is a transfer student from Osaka. Tomo, expecting her to act like the stereotypical Osakan—loud, exuberant and fond of jokes—chose for her the nickname "Osaka", although Ayumu's behavior could not be more different. Ayumu considers the name "slow" and "spacey", but she lacks the energy or motivation to dispute it. The nickname sticks so well that she is called Osaka by teachers and even in the class roster, to the point that no one remembers her real name. In the manga, Osaka mentions that she lived in Kobe when she was in elementary school and was born in Wakayama. Tomo, who says she doesn't know where Wakayama is, tells Ayumu to "just be Osaka".    ~!Despite the fact that her non sequiturs and tendency to nod off during lectures upset Yukari, she remains in Yukari's homeroom class all three years. Ichigo Kurosaki is an orange haired teenager who lives in Karakura Town, being a capable student at his High School. But, more importantly, he's a Substitute Soul Reaper.

Ever since he was young, Ichigo has been able to see spirits, to the point where he could not tell the living from the dead. Due to this oddity, he would end up meeting [Rukia Kuchiki](https://anilist.co/character/6/Rukia-Kuchiki), a Soul Reaper. Soon after, once a hollow appeared and threatened his family, he recklessly fought back against it, forcing Rukia to save him by taking the blow of it's attack. Seeing Ichigo's determination to protect his family, Rukia offered to temporarily turn him into a Soul Reaper by piercing his chest with her Zanpakutou and transferring half of her power to him. Ichigo goes through with it, allowing him to make short work of the Hollow, and forcing him to fulfill Rukia's role as a Soul Reaper until she can regain her powers.

Being stubborn, short-tempered, strong-willed, and impulsive, Ichigo often claims not to care about what other people think about him, and attempts to maintain a detached and "cool" image. He generally keeps his face set in a near-permanent scowl, with his eyebrows drawn together. His outspoken, hot-headed demeanor is a trait Ichigo himself has acknowledged, and if somebody picks a fight with him, he cannot help fighting back. Ichigo's resolve in battle can waver at times, which can impede his fighting prowess, and he tends to go into a state of depression and self-loathing when he loses a major fight or lets a friend down. Despite what he lets on, he is genuinely compassionate and empathetic towards others, and doesn't mind helping others when they become upset, or need the support. He is always willing to fight to protect those he cares for, no matter what it is he would be fighting against.

Orihime Inoue is a teenage girl who lives by herself in Karakura Town, being a close friend of [Ichigo Kurosaki](https://anilist.co/character/5/Ichigo-Kurosaki). 

Orihime is alot of things, being friendly, kind, sensitive, and humorous in her own way. She comes off as naive and rather clueless, which is at odds with her exceptionally high marks in school. Although, apparently she is hopeless when it comes to technology. She is also notorious for cooking up and eating strange food at home, although she also likes some normal food. Her favorite food is red bean paste, and she likes putting butter on sweet potatoes. Orihime has a tendency to rush into situations without thinking, sometimes leading to embarrassing consequences, plus she has an overactive imagination and can get carried away thinking of implausible scenarios. Orihime has also demonstrated that she is perceptive, mostly when it comes to Ichigo Kurosaki, who she is deeply in love with. 

Previously, she had lived with her older brother, [Sora](https://anilist.co/character/27739/Sora-Inoue), who was fifteen years older than her. She and her brother were raised by a drunk father and an unfaithful mother, who always argued and beat their children. It is unknown if her parents are still alive. When Sora turned eighteen, he ran away with Orihime, who was three years old, and raised her since. For six years, Orihime and Sora lived in harmony despite the fact that Orihime was bullied in school because of her long hair. One day, Sora gave Orihime a pair of hairpins. However, Orihime refused to wear them because she said they were childish. On the same day, Sora was wounded in a car accident and died in the Kurosaki clinic. Orihime has worn the hairpins ever since. A year after Sora died, Orihime met [Tatsuki Arisawa](https://anilist.co/character/1094/Tatsuki-Arisawa) who defended her from the bullies. They have been best friends ever since.

Also known as Number 7, she is a young Silpelit girl who has the physical appearance of being 12-14 years old (though because Silpelits age rapidly, she is actually only about 6 years old). Her name, 'Nana', is Japanese for the number seven, the number by which she was called at the research facility ("Nana" is also a fairly common female name in Japan). Most diclonius babies are euthanized at birth in sweeps of hospital maternity wards, but Nana was one of a handful kept alive for use as a test subjects; as a result she has spent her entire life in the diclonius research facility. Kurama sees her as his daughter and cares very much for her. In an attempt to recapture Lucy, Kurama sent out Nana to find her (diclonii can telepathically sense each other), then retreat until Kurama could arrive with soldiers, but Nana wanted to impress Kurama so she tried to capture Lucy herself. Lucy and Nana engaged in a brutal telekinetic battle that ended with Lucy tearing all of Nana's limbs off. Kurama personally came to stop Lucy and save Nana, then also disregarded Director General Kakuzawa's order to kill her by giving her new prosthetic limbs and setting her free with a lot of money. Unlike many other Diclonius, because Kurama treated her with kindness, she is not homicidal or sadistic. She has the ability to temporarily disable other Diclonius' vectors by having her vectors go through their pineal gland. Although her vector power is slightly superior to Lucy's in terms of range (3 meters to Lucy's 2)and certain abilities, she lacks Lucy's sheer strength (Lucy can lift and throw many more heavy objects than Nana can), and violent nature: Nana's empathy for others does not allow her to fight as vigorously, and she loses her arms and legs when she is viciously dismembered by Lucy. With her vector arms, she is later able to manipulate prosthetic appendages and even throw them like a rocket punch.  Nana can be seen as the exact opposite of Lucy. While Lucy's default personality is serious and cold, Nana's is friendly and kind; Lucy's split personality "Nyu" is similar to Nana's default while Nana sometimes goes into trances and acts cold like Lucy's default personality. Nana is in the middle of the spectrum of Lucy's split personalities: she's not as mature as Lucy, but more mature than Nyu.

Eventually, she becomes Shido&#039;s girlfriend. She was once kidnapped by Shido&#039;s enemies (the Kiryuudo, another fictional ancient clan of aboriginals who communed with insects), who wanted to use her to exchange for the Chimera.

Kazuhara&#039;s little sister that believes in the mystical arts. She uses spells and summoning to get things that she wants, with the assistance of her two body guards Hayate and Kosame. She listens to a fortune and discovers that she has a destined future with Yukinari. She tries ever so hard to steal Yukinari&#039;s heart.

Rein uses playing cards as her weapon and is a childhood friend of Sayuri. The Hida family took her in after her father disappeared. She enjoys playing card games and does not mind gambling, due to her familiarity with handling cards. Rein also has a love of words, and many times, she is heard speaking a sentence using one word and splitting it three ways though they all mean the same thing, such as when she called Sayuri &quot;an idiot, a moron, and a complete dingdong&quot;. Rein has an extremely maternal side that is shown when an abandoned baby turns up at the Gokujou Seitokai&#039;s dormitory. This is said to be due to the fact that her father abandoned her when she was very young, making her understand well how it feels to not be loved by anyone. Sometimes Pucchan oftenly refers her as &quot;little-kid-senpai&quot; due to her childish acts and nature. Rein also cheats quite a lot because she doesn&#039;t want to lose (consecutive losses means separation).     ~!Though she has expressed a dislike for her father, claiming to want to hit him if her ever shows up again, she actually still loves him deep in her heart. Rein finally sees her father during episode 25.!~  

Mikan Kurenai is an orphaned girl who comes from a family of balloon makers. Despite her young age, she is a master balloon artist, being able to construct balloons of all shapes and sizes. After her parents were killed by Tenma Ganzo's senshi, she was rescued by Touka Kurenai, and accepted her offer to join Touka and the other dispossessed girls of her village. Since then she has worked for Touka at the Peach Blossom Tower while nursing dreams of revenge. After Rushuna helps her see beyond revenge, she is unable to kill Ganzo when she has the chance. Revealing herself in the 3rd season (and so far is an anime exclusive character like Chuubou), first as a mysterious cloaked girl with a crystal ball who would often show up and speak to Ryomou. Her true identity was not revealed until several episodes in as the real Saji Genpou. She is a toushi with a tragic past, harassed as a child for being different by the other children (only one girl, most likely Chuubou based on her voice, pleaded to them to stop but to no avail). She is a powerful mistress of genjutsu (illusion) magic as shown by her revival of Ryofu and mind controlling some of the stronger toushi in the series most noticeably Ryofu, Ryubi and her friends excluding Kanu and even Hakufu herself however prolonged use of mind control causes great pain to her. She hates all forms of love and friendship and goes to great lengths with her powers to break them up, wanting everyone to suffer as she had. Believing that obtaining Ryomou's dragon will give her the power to do so. It is interesting to note that Saji has a crush on Ouin, believing him as the "only one who understands her." Sendan is the leader of Kaoru&#039;s pack of Inukami. She seems strict and demanding, but appears so because she seems to have the wellbeing of her contractor and master at heart at all times. Only perfect service is good enough for &#039;Kaoru-sama&#039;. Sendan is the younger sister of Hake, the male Inukami that serves the head of the Kawahira family. Like her older brother, she always carries around a fan.
