Misuzu Kamio is a slightly strange girl that is first introduced when she meets [Yukito Kunisaki](https://anilist.co/character/187/). With an obsession with dinosaurs (which goes back to her childhood), she finds it difficult to make friends and is constantly left alone. Because of Misuzu&rsquo;s fondness of dinosaurs, she uses the word &lsquo;Gao&rsquo; frequently, which is the noise she thought dinosaurs made when she was young. ~!One day, Misuzu resolves to make a friend, and after meeting Yukito, invites him over to dinner. Although Haruko disapproves of him at first, they all eventually become friends and Yukito is invited to stay. While playing cards one night, Misuzu suddenly cries without reason. Haruko soon explains that Misuzu has a condition where she cries uncontrollably when she comes close to making friends. Misuzu&rsquo;s condition begins to worsen, prompting Yukito to leave. He soon discovers that Misuzu is related to a childhood tale he heard, and that she is the descendant of the Winged-Maiden in the tale, who has been cursed to eternal pain.    Misuzu soon becomes ill; she becomes childlike and has to use a wheelchair. As a result, Haruko tries to adopt Misuzu officially.  Unfortunately, before she is able to do so, Misuzu&#039;s biological father comes to take her with him.  However, when he tries to leave with her, Misuzu refuses, calling Haruko &lsquo;Mama&rsquo;.     Even though Misuzu stays with Haruko, her condition doesn&rsquo;t improve, and when Yukito returns, she is in constant pain. In the final episode, Misuzu asks that they all go to the beach together and when they get there, Misuzu attempts to walk to Haruko and Yukito, calling them &#039;her goal.&#039; Sadly, when Misuzu does reach them, she collapses and dies in Haruko&rsquo;s arms, ending the curse placed on the Winged Maiden.!~

Represents the Animal Realm. She is a kind girl who doesn't mind Ikkou and some times tries to defend him verbally only to fail and letting him get beaten down. Her kindness extends even to animals, and this seems to be where her spiritual talents lie. In one second season episode, she is chased by dogs and treated by them with excessive affection, apparently a side effect resulting from her lack of training. Madoka is a Kung Fu artist, using martial arts as her angel&#039;s chief fighting tactics. She has a strong desire to defeat Hatoko Kobayashi&#039;s angel, Suzuka to recover her family&#039;s &quot;lost pride&quot;. While spectating Hikaru&#039;s fight against another contestant, she and her sister make it clear to Kaede Saito and Sai Jonouchi that she will not lose to anyone until after Suzuka is defeated. Arisu and Madoka sabotage Hikaru with a transmitter that will block Misaki&#039;s thoughts from reaching her doll in the hopes of winning, but are caught by Ohjiro Mihara.     After losing, Madoka obtains a new outlook on why people play Angelic Layer and realizes that it was made to be fun for any person, to the slight annoyance of her sister. Athena has a beautiful singing voice, which she uses to entertain her customers and also to help Alice when she is in some kind of trouble. Athena has a strange laugh, it usually comes out sounding as though she is angry. She came to know Alicia and Akira when they were still trainee undine and practised together back then. She tends to be quiet most of the time but happy to join in having fun. Her appellation as a prima undine is &quot;Seiren&quot; (denoted as &quot;Heavenly Voice&quot;).

Kris reveals herself as the most talented one of her class on the satellite-university. Like in Battle Athletes, she belongs to a small community of men living on the lunar surface: the Biginners. Such community lives in a profound symbiosis with nature, and refuses every kind of technology, preferring to live in harmony in an environment unpolluted. Kris, especially, belongs to a family of priests, able to feel spirits and talk with them.   On the satellite-university, Kris shares her room with Akari and Anna, as well as Gyubei, her cow brought from the moon and whose milk Kris believes she can't survive.   Her feelings for Akari are clearly of romantic nature, or rather, after meeting the terrestrial athlete, she is struck by love at first sight. In the last episodes of the second series this feelings are reciprocated. Furthermore, during those last episodes, the two share an emphatic bond, conjured up by Kris and made solemn by the spirits worshiped  by her.

Soi Fon is staunchly loyal, firm, and unbending in her beliefs. She is a hard worker and takes a strong moral stand — she particularly believes in following orders. She is generally reserved and not arrogant like her lieutenant. She will not hesitate in the slightest to strike down even her subordinates if they stand in her way. Soi Fon, like most female shinigami, is a member of the Shinigami Women's Association. When Youruichi left the soul society with no explanation, Soi Fon took it as a personal betrayal of her feelings, with gives rise to her intense hatred of anyone who disobeys orders or disturbs the harmony of the soul society. She finally comes to terms with her feelings toward Yoruichi during the "Rukia Rescue" arc, and the two becomes friends again soon after. Soi Fon has borderline romantic feelings toward Yoruichi which becomes evident on several occasions such as when she buys some photos of Yoroichi eating voraciously in skimpy clothing.  Soi Fon also has a personal dislike for Kisuke Urahara because of his close relationship with Yuruichi. Another person she dislikes is her own lieutenant, Oomaeda, whom she punches quite frequently for his stupidity and cowardice. Rika Sasaki is a classmate and friend of Sakura Kinomoto. She is considered to be very elegant and mature for her age, though she can also be shy. During the series, she is also shown to be a skilled cook and very good at crafts. During the series, Rika is affected by the Clow Cards several times.

During the series, Rika is shown to be in a romantic relationship with her teacher [Yoshiyuki Terada](https://anilist.co/character/11546). In the manga series, they are engaged to be married when she is old enough, and they frequently spend time alone together on "dates." In the anime adaptation, the engagement is removed as are many of their dates, however they are still shown to have affection for one another. Instead of being a good student, she is depicted as having trouble with her school work and her blushing around Terada is explained away as being embarrassed at having to stay after school so often.  


The second main character, is a female little snow fairy, who tries to use her piccolo to summon snow from the sky. She has wanted to be a snow fairy since a child in an attempt to follow in her mother&#039;s footsteps; a famous snow fairy who could summon snow that is both soft and warm.    Sugar acts like a small child; she is clumsy, stubborn and has a short attention span, and has the habit to kiss whoever she is fond of when she is happy. She tries her best to be friends with Saga, but often gets things wrong. Sugar, like every fairy in the series, has an unequaled love of waffles. In the anime, it is led to believe that she mispronounces waffles as &#039;waffos&#039;. Magdalene was a kind and beautiful woman, who was kidnapped by Chrno at Aion&rsquo;s request so they could use her extraordinary prophetic abilities. She was appreciated by all the Sinners due to her friendly nature, but she soon became the reason Aion and Chrno broke their friendship and fought against each other. Chrno was badly injured, and Magdalene decided to make a contract with him so he could recover from his wounds. She died shortly afterwards, when Chrno tried to protect her against Aion. She was about 18 or 20 years old (Height: 164 cm. Weight: 49 kg). 

The impulsive, 16-year-old, protagonist of Chrno Crusade. Rosette is an elite exorcist of the Order of Magdalene and goes out on missions to destroy deadly spirits and devils. Her primary motivation is to save her brother Joshua, who has been captured by Aion.    ~!Because of a contract she formed with Chrno when she was 11, her life is slowly ticking away. The first confirmed Contractor, with her star's Messier code UB-001. She was originally a spy for MI6 with the codename February but later defected and joined the Syndicate, adopting "Amber" as her new name. She worked together with Hei and Bai in South America during the "Heaven's War", and founded and leader of her own organization, the Evening Primrose at that time. She went missing together with Bai and millions of other people when the Heaven's Gate disappeared, only to reappear later to fight the Syndicate with the rest of the strenghtened Evening Primrose.   Amber's ability is chronal manipulation, which includes temporal freezing of time and rewinding of events to an unknown degree. Elaborate usage of her power enables her to gain knowledge of future events, and then respond to them accordingly. Once time has been frozen around her, she can also pull other people out of the frozen time stream, while those still under her ability's effect will no longer detect her presence or movement. Her remuneration is aging backwards, making her appear frequently younger. Amber loves Hei, in spite of him believing her to be a traitor, and has stated that she has only seen him truly smile once and she would do anything to see that smile again. Amber's feelings for Hei often result in her making decisions that compromise the mission objectives of the Evening Primrose and at times she goes as far as to order her subordinates to avoid fighting Hei.   ~! Her overall objective is to destroy the Hell's Gate in a way that doesn't erase every Contractor from existence. She maintains the mysterious Meteor Fragment retrieved from PANDORA's Gate Research Facility in her care in a pouch slung across her shoulder. After showing him all that he would have if he used his power to close off the gate (her, his friends, and his sister), she reveals the true extent of her feelings for him by sacrificing herself so that Hei may pursue, instead, the option of shutting down the particle accelerator that would destroy the gate instead of sacrificing Japan or all Contractors. !~

A priestly elf and acolyte of Celcia who often appears during the group&#039;s adventures. Early in the series, she loses her faith and trust in Celcia for she thought she&#039;d betrayed the elven race for helping out Those Who Hunt Elves and sought to stop TWHE by using a powerful spell, but ended up opening a portal and bringing more earth-originated material through. Subsequently, she ended up stripped and flowing down a river attached to a log. Despite this, she is later seen as a major supporter of Elf Hunters efforts to return to Japan. A small, white, teddy bear-like interdimensional creature with the ability to produce toilet paper, to whom Ritsuko takes a liking. Pichi ends up proving an incentive for the group, especially due to a plot involving a scarcity of toilet tissue.

Also known as Number 35, she is a young girl described as the only surviving &quot;third generation&quot; Silpelit (a Silpelit born from one infected by another Silpelit, as opposed to one born from one infected by a Diclonius), and the daughter of Kurama at five years old. During an escape attempt by Number Three (who was actually Nana&#039;s sister), Kurama was infected by her vectors and thus turned into a carrier of the diclonius virus, and his daughter was born a silpelit. In the anime she possesses 33 vectors , each with an approximate range of 11 meters (the number and range is much higher in the manga). Mariko was imprisoned as an infant and raised inside a steel container with human contact consisting of nothing more than a scientist acting as a sort of foster mother through speakers and monitors. Her physical impairment is seen in her atrophied limbs as she moves around in a wheelchair.   Despite the environment she was raised in, she is relatively well developed psychologically. She is extremely homicidal and sadistic, and enjoys torturing and dismembering her victims. However, her personality is not blatantly evil. She is only having fun, and the pleasure she gets from it is equivalent to a child playing with toys.      ~!In order to keep Mariko under control, the research institute implanted at least two bombs (probably more) in her body during infancy; one is used to remove her right arm after she attacks scientists at the institute. Kurama later orders the other bomb(s) to be detonated as he walks away embracing his daughter, killing not only Mariko, but himself as well.!~

Chiriko  is the youngest and the genius among the seven Celestial Warriors of Suzaku. Born in Jozen in western Kōnan, Chiriko is revealed to be studying for an examination to become a government official during his first appearance. Aside from his incredible intelligence, Chiriko also employs a leaf flute against his opponents. He is thirteen years old. His true name is Doukon Ou (王 道煇, Ō Dōkon?), born the star Extended Net (張).    

Chiriko&#039;s intelligence actually derives from his role as a Celestial Warrior and when his character disappears, he becomes a rather average child with limited intelligence. This limitation on his powers alongside being the youngest and physically weakest in the group is a source of frustration for Chiriko. He is particularly sensitive about his height and his peculiar intelligence and strives towards becoming a &quot;man of strength&quot;, but is otherwise a quiet and good-natured student. Since a very young age, Chiriko has held a strong interest in research and has amassed a great deal of knowledge through books and study.    

Though somewhat unusual, Chiriko develops a strong relationship with Tasuki, who happily accepts the role of an older brother figure to Chiriko and is particularly devastated when Chiriko dies. The youngest Celestial Warrior&#039;s death comes when his body is possessed by Seiryū Celestial Warrior Miboshi. After regaining control of his body, Chiriko stabs himself, taking Miboshi with him to his death.

The childlike goddesses serve Taiitsukun and reside at Mount Taikyoku with her. They are also known as Lai Lai. They can take the appearance of floating orbs and can appear when commanded.   They have healed Miaka and her warriors when it was necessary, also offering to fix Nuriko's perversion (much to his dismay) and Taiitsukun's face (much to her annoyance).    ~!Their other function is to serve as vessels for the spirits of the dead Celestial Warriors, so that they can fight along side their priestess, in which case they take on the appearance of whomever they are inhabited by, and have all of their powers. !~

Makoto's wife. Also 25 years old, Makoto is the first man she has ever had sex with. She is loving, but extremely naïve on sexual matters and too shy to try something new by herself. Beautiful and charming, she is also the target of attention by many men (although their behavior is - compared to the women who adore her husband - mostly passive longing). She also has the knack of befriending most of the women whom she should consider her rivals for Makoto's affections; Makoto's colleague Makie Sugiyama is a notable exception. Tomoko Kawakami was a Japanese voice actress. Having graduated from the Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music, she was affiliated with Production Baobab at the time of her death.

In August 2008, Kawakami was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which required surgery. During a three-year battle with cancer, most of her ongoing roles were replaced by other voice actresses, although the latter was able to do some voice work until her retirement in the start of the 2010s decade. She died on June 9, 2011 at the age of 41.
