Yukari Sakuragi is one the class officers, the other being Kazami, of Yomiyama North Middle School's 9th grade class.    ~!After hearing an important message from a teacher, she takes her umbrella and runs out of the classroom. After seeing Sakakibara with Misaki standing in the hallway she runs to the opposite direction. She runs downstairs and slips. Her umbrella falls out of her hand and she falls on it with her throat being pierced by the iron point of her umbrella and dies a few seconds later. We find out later on that her mother died on the same day, which could have been the reason why Sakuragi had left the classroom.!~   ~!Sakuragi appearance in the manga is completely different from her appearance in the anime. In the manga, Sakuragi has straight black hair. However, in the anime, she has curly brown hair.!~

Kanade is another of the lead female characters. Kanade seems to have two sides to herself and during his first night at the school dorm, she attacked Tomo in order to prevent him from receiving the Asura Machina and starting a new series of fights as a consequence. She seems to have a taste for cosplaying as a miko. She is &#039;Devil&#039; and, as such, has supernatural powers which she uses mainly to create fire. Whenever her powers are active, her eye-colors change to blue and light green. She develops crush on Tomo, but avoid pursuing such feelings so not to stand between the boy and Misao. Binchou-tan, the main character in the anime, is a young girl who lives by herself in an old house far from town. As her name suggests, she often wears a piece of charcoal on her head. Each episode depicts a day in the life of Binchou-tan who needs to work in order to buy food and necessities.    She is assumed to be an orphan because she lives by herself, refuses to answer shopkeepers who ask where her mother is and keeps to her habits of greeting and farewelling herself when traveling. She apparently, also possesses the ability to change the size of her body. Normally she is the size of a small child, but in some cases she can shrink herself to for instance fit in a shoe or to ride on the back of a duck. She is associated with the season of winter. She is a somewhat distant character, with a slow, rambling personality. Hororo is always thinking about food and changing words into words of food that sound like them. Beauty is the female heroine of Bobobo's group and usually the only girl when Torpedo Girl isn't around. She has mid-length pink hair with short bangs and blue eyes. Unlike the puns used for many of the characters, she received her name because the manga writer was looking at a video tape of the movie American Beauty when he created her character. A stereotypical teenage manga heroine, she is one of the few sane characters who is the first to join Bo-bobo and was the only citizen to still have hair after the attack of the town she lived in. She initially wanted to join Bobobo because she sought a life of adventure. Bobobo let her join him, but rejected Pickle at the same time. She has loving feelings for Gasser after he rescued her (the first time they met), but doesn't say anything about them. She is often exasperated by Bo-bobo's odd behavior or the behavior or actions of others, usually with the same face. She's the only person in the group that doesn't fight (Except in the video games, but that's not considered canon), but still criticizes the others' fighting styles. There are a few rare occurrences where she was forced to fight to defend herself, but it's only when Bobobo isn't around to protect her and at the last minute someone would come and save her (mainly Bobobo and Gasser). Beauty worries about her friends' safety and finds them as her own family and though finds Bo-bobo crazy she idolizes him greatly. She seems to be a random girl who joins Bobobo's group till Softon is revealed to be her brother; infering that she may have powers of her own or is decended from a powerful bloodline. By the end of the series, she is travelling the world with Heppokomaru/Gasser.

Fuko is a first year student at Tomoya's school (Technically, her age is same as Tomoya's), but she is always alone by herself, making wood carvings of starfish with a small knife to give to others as presents for her sister's upcoming wedding. Whenever Fuko sees something she thinks is incredibly cute she completely loses awareness of her surroundings, which Tomoya takes advantage of by playing a variety of pranks on her.

~!It is later found that Fuko is actually in the hospital, still in a coma from a car crash. Everyone slowly starts to forget her when her health condition gets worse. Tomoya and Nagisa were the last to forget her since she spent most of her time with them. !~

__In Afterstory__
~!After accidentally releasing one of the light orbs, Tomoya unwittingly brings Fuko out of her coma. She has no memory of what happened, but her personality hasn't changed one bit. She is extremely fond of Ushio.!~

Meme is Makoto's aunt and Erio's mother. She also goes under the name Jojo and is an owner of a store that sells sweets. She is cheerful and can often be seen teasing Makoto by attempting to seduce him. She has no plans on getting married and has a happy life with her daughter Erio and her nephew Makoto. She allows Erio to stay home from school and do as she pleases. She explained to Makoto that it was the only effective way to deal with her daughter's eccentricities.

Nonoko is one of Mikan's companions and she is one academic year younger than her. She has the Alice of Chemistry and likes to experiment with dangerous chemicals. She is a member of the &quot;3 geeky sisters.&quot; She is an elegant girl from a rich family (Explained in her profile in the manga).[7] She is close friends with Anna and has a crush on Misaki-sensei. There was a time in the radio drama entitled Chocoholic where her Alice got switched with Anna.    In the Radio Drama, Love Potion, Nonoko made a Love Potion which can make a pair of lovers to love their partners even more. Sumire tricked Mikan to drink the potion and ended up falling for Tsubasa. Natsume and Ruka also got affected by the potion, which resulted with Ruka falling for Natsume and Natsume falling for Mikan.    She belongs to the Technical Class. She is a Single Star student.  

Mika, also known as &quot;Mikan&quot; (みかん), is a shy and clumsy girl who is constantly falling down and bumping into things. As an only child, she has taken advantage of her position and has been spoiled by her parents. After meeting Manami, Mika becomes very attached to her. At first she was the only member in the student council, taking the position of secretary, but was later joined by Manami when she became the student council president.    At first she is unsure about Manami's strange enthusiasm and is unsure how to work with her within the council. As time passes, Mika begins to become more enthused herself by going along with Manami's plans to reform student life at Seioh. Mika seems to be the least mature of the five main characters, even going as far as to believe &quot;little people&quot; finished the work for the school festival promotional video while she, Minami and Mutsuki were sleeping. 


A somewhat strange and exceedingly optimistic student who always sees everything in the single most positive light possible: the polar opposite of Nozomu, who sees only the dark side of things and is constantly in despair. She often has bizarre, childishly optimistic explanations for grim situations, calling suicide by hanging &quot;becoming taller&quot; and the act of stalking &quot;deep love.&quot; She enjoys giving whimsical nicknames to people (much to their annoyance), and has a strange obsession with aliens. Once she turned in a briefcase full of money to the police.    ~!Her cheerfulness apparently conceals a traumatic past. Her father tried to hang himself all the time, as did her mom once. At one point her mother was possessed by demons. Another hint is the fact that one or more of the other characters are mortally terrified of her; for example, when Kafuka teaches Meru about communication through eye contact, Meru can sense only bloodlust in her eyes. Another episode hinted that she was slitting her wrists as it is shown that her wrists were wrapped in bandages.!~    Kafuka Fuura is a pen name, taken from the name of author Franz Kafka, and is quite at odds with her sunny attitude. Her real name is has not been officially revealed; however,  ~!she was referred to as &quot;An-chan&quot; in a flashback, and the surname &quot;Akagi&quot; appears in the attendance book, leading fans to speculate that her real name is An Akagi. This would parallel Nozomu&#039;s comment in the first chapter about her personality resembling Anne of Green Gables (赤毛のアン, Akage no An).!~

Kana is a transfer student. She presents little social skill, rarely talking to anyone. In effect most of her classmates dislike her, her rude attitude causing her classmates to avoid her.     ~!She is the last hope at defeating the alien invaders from completely annihilating the human race. To save mankind, she is forced to pilot the "Black Manta", a fighter plane with which she uses to battle against the invaders, resulting a toll on her mind and body.!~  Soon after her meeting with Naoyuki, Kana develops a crush on him. Her sole reason for joining the Newspaper Club is in being with him.

A young Cognate who works at an Inn and makes her debut in the J:E arc. Satsuki is the young sister of Jinki technician Kawamoto Hiroshi, and loves her brother dearly. Being weak and pacifistic, Satsuki would almost fall prey to the efforts of the predatory Karis Nohman of the Hachishoujin although she would be rescued by Ryouhei and members of the Tokyo division of Angel. Miko is Matsuri's little sister.  She can see and talk to spirits.

The Sixth Neck (六の首, Roku no kubi), she is a small, squeaky-voiced catgirl (her name is derived from neko, the Japanese word for cat) who is often seen wearing a nurse's outfit and wielding a giant syringe. ~! She appears to fit the stereotypical, cheerful catgirl archetype, but it is later revealed that she was the subject and victim of horrible medical experiments, which is most likely what made her an Orochi follower. Chihiro&#039;s childhood friend, who ends up becoming a candidate for the next term&#039;s Student Council Vice-President alongside Chihiro. She has had good luck since birth, not once having had the bad fortune to be caught in a rainshower or just barely miss the train. She has gone through life on luck and intuition alone, so she carries with her a deep faith in luck, as well as a (perhaps groundless) self-confidence and innocence. (Wikipedia)

Kyouko is a veteran magical girl who comes to the city later in the story. Amusingly, she is always seen eating something, even while she is battling. 
 
Having grown up in a poor family, she often has to steal food and hates people who waste it, a logic she also applies to Grief Seeds, as she only goes after fully grown witches. Kyouko has been a Puella Magi much longer than the others, and thus is more skillful; she wields a spear which can extend itself, split into multiple sections, and produce a ball at the end of a chain, which can constrict and hit others at the same time. She also has the ability to put up barriers to protect others or keep them from interfering. She initially clashes with Sayaka, but after learning the truth about Soul Gems, she sympathizes with her and tries to help her.

~!She came from a poor church family and used her wish so that people would listen to her father's preaching; when her father learned of this, however, he went mad and killed everyone in his family aside from Kyouko. As such, Kyouko decided only to use her magic for herself from this point on, since using it for others will only cause despair.!~

An innocent mermaid who also speaks Hakata dialect. She calls Muromi 'Onee-tan." She loves dolphins very much.

Yayoi is a kind-hearted girl who is very sheltered. She is confined to a wheelchair and relies on her close and dearest friend Kanako for support. She also appears to be the only person who Kanako does not resent.     Yayoi is the story-teller in the storytelling parody vignettes in the anime. She quietly begins to tell her tale and often ends by beginning to say something stupid, which is promptly cut off.     She plays the piano well.     ~!Yayoi is another ghost, and her existence is fading which is why she is crippled to her wheelchair.     In the past, she used to quietly observe Kanako and wished to reach out to her, but the other girl would angrily reject her. Yayoi was revealed to be a very sheltered, privileged girl but she never tried to pass off responsibility to other girls. Any time she tried to help Kanako, she was turned away.     Her desire to become friends with Kanako was so strong that she eventually won over the other girl and they became close through Yayoi&#039;s kind, nurturing and gentle nature. !~
