One of the more powerful denizens of The World, who has been playing long before anyone else listed here, and was one of the original .hackers. In .hack//UdeDen, he was made a System Admin by CC Corp, and he organizes very weird events for the players. He decided to do this after the events of the final episode of .hack//SIGN, UNISON. His class is Blademaster, &quot;sub-class&quot; System Administrator, and uses an angelic-knight avatar. In the 2nd book he is fired as an administrator. He takes on more work than he can handle, often shoving it all to his assistant Reki and falling asleep in front of his computer, putting his character in a napping position.

Joel Goldschmidt, current head of the Red Shield. His &quot;diary&quot; is a record of Red Shield&#039;s activities since its formation, and also contains information regarding Saya, Diva, the Chevaliers and the Chiroptera. He is a direct descendant of the original Joel Goldschmidt, who discovered Saya and Diva. It also seems that there is some relation between him and Amshel as he calls him &quot;Uncle Amshel&quot;. One year after the attack on the Red Shield HQ, he is shown to be confined to a wheelchair having been paralyzed from the waist down after he sustained a serious injury from Karl during the attack.

He is partly instrumental in Saya's "awakening" and his right arm is covered in bandages, hiding some Chiropteran features that he is unable to change back into human form. This might be due to trauma when Saya sliced his hand during the Vietnam incident. Haji first met Saya when he was a child of age 12 and was brought by Joel to be her companion and hopefully mate and create more specimens someday. At this time Saya was 43 although she doesn't appear to be since she stopped aging in 1863. He lived with her in Joel's mansion for many years. But one day he fell from a cliff in an attempt to pick a flower that Saya wanted as a present for Joel's birthday. Seeing him bleeding everywhere and not really understanding that people don't drink blood to remain healthy, Saya gave him her own blood. Thus she unwittingly turned him into her "Chevalier."  Since then, Haji's single wish is to protect Saya and fulfill her wishes. It is also revealed that unlike Saya who "created" him, Haji neither eats, sleeps, nor goes into long periods of hibernation.

~!Haji is Saya's first, and only living, chevalier. In 1870, the twelve year old boy is purchased by Joel and Amshel from his parents for a loaf of bread to be a companion for Saya, with hopes that they might mate and create more specimens for future experimentation. Haji lives with her in Joel's mansion for many years, he growing up but she never aging. In 1883, he falls from a cliff attempting to pick a flower that Saya wants as a present for Joel's birthday. Misunderstanding an earlier conversation between Haji and Joel about why Saya lives on blood, and wanting to save him, Saya feeds him some of her blood, unwittingly turning him into a chevalier. Saya feels some guilt over this through the years, but when she apologizes, Haji assures her that he has no regrets as it allows him to always be at her side while she lives her dream of traveling the world with her sword.  Haji plays the cello, a skill he learned from Saya. He usually carries his cello in a large black case that he can also use as a blunt weapon and a shield, and the case also holds Saya's sword. Haji also fights with a handful of silver daggers that he keeps on hand. As with most chevaliers, Haji doesn't need to eat or sleep, and he stays awake while Saya eats, sleeps, or goes into long periods of hibernation. Unlike Diva's chevaliers, Haji never makes a full transformation into a chiropteran form; however, this is by his own choice rather than a limitation of his power. He keeps his right hand bandaged most of the time to hide the fact that its form is permanently chiropractic since Saya injured it while going crazy from being forced awake decades ago in Vietnam. In the opening credits of the final season, Haji is shown with wings, but he does not use them in the series until the forty-third episode.   After Diva's death, Haji convinces Saya to live, confessing that he has always loved her. Agreeing that she does wish to live, Saya kisses him. As they, along with Kai and the rest of the Red Shield operatives, try to escape the opera house, Amshel attacks them, ripping off one of Haji's arms. Saya reloads her sword with blood and is ready to fight him to protect Diva's babies. However, Haji takes her sword and pushes her aside so she can escape while he impales Amshel himself. As Amshel crystallizes, he stabs Haji through the chest and the ceiling collapses on them both. Saya screams his name before they leave. She believes he may be dead, but Kai reassures her that Haji will return. Sometime after Saya goes into her hibernation, Kai brings Diva's daughters to visit the Miyagusuku crypt where Saya is sleeping. Van Argiano is the head scientist studying chiropterans for Cinq Fl&egrave;ches. He was in charge of the development of Delta 67, working under Solomon and with his assistant Archer. After Solomon defected from the group, Amshel appoints him to the head of the Cinq Fl&egrave;ches American branch. Despite knowing their true nature and plans, Van sided with the chiropterans and aided them in their efforts to spread chiropterans around the world. Van is often shown to be eating some kind of hard candy.    However, he was betrayed at the Metropolitan Opera House and was not told of the plans to turn people there into chiropterans. He was left to face the monsters on his own by his American contact, Secretary of Defense Grant, but is saved by David. At the end of the series, he is shown being taken to trial to face charges for his crimes. His assistant Archer is also revealed to be a government appointed investigator who had infiltrated Cinq Fl&egrave;ches to gather evidence.

Koichi learned about Koji when his grandmother told him on her deathbed. He ran after Koji, who was on his way to the Digital World, to try and catch up with him but he fell down a flight of stairs and ended up in a coma as a result. His mind was taken into the Digital World by Cherubimon, who saw his sadness.!~

Touma is a 14-year-old boy genius who graduated from the Stockholm Royal University of Science at the age of 12. His abilities are considered elite, even within DATS. He bases his operations on data and theoretical principles, and as such his personality clashes with Marcus's. His mother is Japanese and his father is a prominent Austrian aristocrat named Franz Norstein. He also has a younger sister, Relena, who suffers from a strange disease. Calm and shrewd, he is the exact opposite of Marcus and sees him as a rival. He has an elitist attitude but he gets emotional when thinking of his mother, who died years ago when he was young.  Touma's loyal partner is Gaomon, who always addresses him as "master" and gets angry easily when he thinks someone is not treating Touma with the proper respect. It has still yet to be revealed how the two actually met.   ~!A great deal of Touma's background comes in episode 15, when MetalPhantomon manipulates his mind, feeding Touma nightmares from the past. We learn his mother died in a horrific accident in which she was killed by a speeding truck. However, the nightmare does not have the entire desired effect on Tohma, and he pulls through, allowing Gaomon to evolve to MachGaogamon.  In episode 28, he finally obtained the power to Digivolve his partner further, but his Digivice iC was not able to support the enhanced power of his Digisoul and shattered, with the same process happening to both Marcus's and Yoshino "Yoshi" Fujieda's digivice. In the following episode, he, along side his friends managed to repair their iC's and turn them into Digivice Bursts, allowing Gaomon to evolve to MirageGaogamon.  After the destruction of ElDoradimon, Touma was forced by his father to abandon his friends and side with DATS' greatest enemy Akihiro Kurata, who claimed to have the means to cure Relena. He even had to fight his former comrades, to the anger of Marcus, who accidentally invoked a dark Digi-Soul to fight him, with disastrous consequences. In the end Touma betrayed Kurata by destroying the device he was using to control Belphemon, and rejoined with his friends to confront him.  In episode 36 he also confronted his father that the only reason he went to study abroad was for him to become a physician, in order to find the cure for Relena's illness when any other doctor had failed before.  In episode 42, Tohma gets into an argument with his father and remembers how his grandmother hated him for not being born a "true" Norstein, being half-Japanese. While protecting the airplane where Relena was located, Touma fought against Crusadermon and unlocked MirageGaogamon's Burst Mode. After that, he rejoined the others and went to find Marcus back in the Digital World, partaking in all of the events leading up to the final battle.  After the defeat of Yggdrasil, Touma was forced to realize that the Digimon needed to go back to their own world, and spent one final evening with Gaomon. The next day, he and the others bid the Digimon farewell as they returned home, only to find out that Marcus had tagged along with them as well.  Five Years Later, Touma receives the Nobel Prize in Medicine at Stockholm City Hall, age 19, becoming the youngest person ever to win it, for finding a cure for Relena's illness.!~

A man who is always seen to wear sunglasses and a bartender's suit. Although quiet and nondescript while not angered, he has a very short fuse and fights with incredible strength. Despite his simple and unrefined fighting skills, he is often considered the strongest fighter in the series. In the novels his power is described as the naturally unlimited form of human strength and likened to "adrenaline power" that can give people superhuman strength in times of emergency. He felt close to his old Register, but feels closer to Beatrice.    ~!Mario takes over as captain when Hiroto starts to halucinate and falls ill. He awakens memories that Beatrice thought she'd 'deleted' from her brain. As a child, he once ate a register's pill. Of course, not being a register, it had no effect.   Mario is good at lying and leading. He was 2nd only to Jean in his class at school, and they are 'rivals' now. When Mir creates a teleportation system, he uses it to trasport to Jean's ship, the Youki. Togusa is the newest member of Section 9 and the only one not originally recruited from Kusanagi's team of SpecOps.  Recruited from the regular police forces, Detective Togusa (no first name is yet known) has only the most basic of augmentation and no cyberization outside of his cyberbrain.  The Major wanted him for his perspective as a real policeman and as an outside opinion so as to avoid intellectual incest within Section 9.  Togusa mostly feels inferior to the rest of the team, forgetting to recognize the reason for his inclusion in the group.  He is the only member with a spouse and child and he continues to carry his Mateba revolver, although it has been highly modified to fire anti-cyborg rounds.

Shuda is the first member of the Oracion Six to be introduced. He holds the utmost respect for Gale Glory and uses the high six star Dark Bring Ballett&auml;nzer Zeffrea, which allows him to cause an explosion within a spherical targeting grid that manifests over a chosen point in space. He also wields two swords: the ghost sword Entenka (which spews forth flames by cutting the wind), and the divine sword Heavenly Blossom, which is claimed to be a weapon of the gods.           ~!He fought and lost to Haru Glory twice in the beginning of the series, and after his second defeat, he reforms and becomes an ally of Haru and his friends. Sieghart was an elemental master who has the ability to control the forces of fire, earth, water, poison, lightning and to some extent space. He was loosely associated with Demon Card, in that it happened to assist his quest to "preserve time". According to him, the power of Etherion is a direct threat to time itself, and after he takes care of 3173 (a.k.a. Elie). Sieg is a serious person. He is very adamant about his purpose of protecting the flow of time, and will do anything to fulfill that purpose. He lightens up considerably after joining up with Haru's group, but remains a reserved person.  The name means win/victory/triumph (Sieg) hard (Hart) in German.    ~!It is later revealed that the skeleton guarding Resha's grave all along was in fact Sieghart himself.  When Haru, Elie and Sieghart attempted to return back to their time-line from 50 years in the past, after a sudden tearful goodbye, he had pushed the two into the future without returning himself.  He had realized his pre-destined fate, to guard Symphonia and Resha's grave from Overdrive and the world with his life for the next 50 years, until the decisive moment where they would once again find his skeleton and return to the past (as they themselves had just done over the past few days in the story's main timeline).  He knew that he could not "change" anything in the current time-line he was in as to not affect "Fate", so he sat in front of the grave for 50 years, unmoving, unhindered, completely isolated from the world and with no food or water... nothing.  His final words were, "I thought I could do nothing in this era, but there is still one thing I can do...  I can protect Elie to the end, yeah... don't you worry...
