Kyo is a stubborn, hot-headed boy. He is easily provoked and angered in any situation. As with most of the Soma clan, Kyo is cursed with becoming an animal of the Zodiac when hugged by someone of the opposite gender. His Zodiac animal is the cat which, in legend, was barred from becoming one of the official twelve animals because of the rat's trickery. Kyo hates the current rat of the family, [Yuki](https://anilist.co/character/208), as a result. The two constantly fight and Kyo loses every time.

Ever since he met [Tohru Honda](https://anilist.co/character/207), who admires the cat of Zodiac legend, he has expressed a soft side of himself. Kyo was always separated from the Soma clan, including his parents, which is likely the cause of his short-fused temperament and stubbornness. He constantly trains in martial arts so that he might one day defeat his rival, Yuki. His martial arts master is one of the people he respects the most.


Shinya Kougami is an enforcement officer who is tasked with managing crime. Shinya has a high criminal mentality, but because of his skills as a detective, he was released under the condition that he becomes an Enforcer for the Public Safety Bureau, Unit 1.  Despite his natural grudge towards Makishima, they are actually somewhat alike, as shown in Shinya's ability to foresee Makishima's actions.

First-year student at Tokyo Denki University. Pro-active otaku, who's got a thing for both 2-D and 3-D girls. Plenty of statements he makes could be taken as sexual harassment. He and Rintarou have known each other since high school. He usually dismissed Rintarou's ridiculous requests as "annoying", but actually completes them well, and trusts Rintarou as a friend. Has great confidence in his programming and hacking abilities (he doesn't mind being called a Super Hacker, but doesn't like it when people call him Super Haker). He's always in front of the computer.

Sasuke is some times easy to spot, but he is one of the dozens of faceless male ninja in the series. These male ninja are seen in different outfits, but never without their masks. Onsokumaru and Shinobu seem able to tell them apart. They share many of Onsokumaru&#039;s traits, although they are more kind hearted and conscientious, attempting to act noble and wise. They have a tendency to act with a &#039;hive mind&#039;, but are easily distracted and get little done. There is still debate over whether they are actually a single ninja using the ever-popular &quot;copy art&quot; (&quot;bunshin no jutsu&quot;). 

 Spitfire (スピット・ファイア, Supitto Faia?) was the Flame King, and one of the last two members of the original Sleeping Forest still holding their titles at the beginning of the story. He is first seen in the series when ikki accidently went to a secret meeting that was going on with AT riders. He claimed that Ikki, being only an &#039;F&#039; class rider, would only have a 1% chance of defeating Buccha, and was surprised by the result. In the anime, he is introduced in the first episode after watching the leader of the Skullsaders challenge Ikki to a battle. He is in control of three teams with 41, 68, and 86 members, and is a highly sought hair stylist in everyday life. His speed creates the illusion of flames due to the heat caused by the friction of his wheels on the ground. In recent chapters, he engaged Sora in an AT battle. During the fight, Sano joins in and saves Spitfire and the two challenge Nike. It is revealed that Spitfire is also able to stop time, similar to how Sano is able to, claiming that while Nike is the strongest of Genesis, he cannot break the flames of time. The fight drags on, and Spitfire comes to a conclusion that they cannot win. By his request, Sano then gives Spitfire enough time to grab Kazu and flee, forcefully giving Kazu the Flame Regalia. Shortly after returning to the battle, the two - Sano and Spitfire - are killed by Sora and Nike. Before his death, Spifire had foreseen this outcome and left a video explaining the true intentions of Genesis and how, after watching the fight between Kogarasumaru and Behemoth, he had been reminded that what he really wanted to do was fly freely in the sky. Spitfire had also predicted that Ikki would &quot;lose his wings&quot; due to Sora&#039;s betrayal and part of the reason for the video was to bring Ikki back to the AT world, at the end of the message Spitfire showed mild concern that his plan might not work.    Spitfire (and the Flame Road in general) seems to be characterized by a flaming fox with nine tails, a reference to the Kitsune from Japanese Mythology.    In the English dub, he has a cockney accent.     ~!Despite his death, Spitfire still helps out Kogarasumaru via the video he left to help train them for the Gram Scale tournament. However the video itself so accurately predicts what the individual members of Kogarasumaru will do that the team questions whether Spitfire is really dead.!~

A guy who challenges Maki early on, but later temporarily joins the group. He seems to have a crush on Maki. He fights with a long staff that can separate into three parts connected with a chain. He seems to know the art of the Drunken Fist.

Jouji Gouda is a new transfer student at Hakuryo High. He fell in love at first sight and boldly proposed to Akane Suzumiya, representative of his class, on his first day at the new school.   ~!Later in the series, he falls for Kagami Sumika after she gives him her handkerchief only to find out that she is best friends with Shirogane Takeru. He later sees a limousine drive upon him to find another beautiful woman, Mitsurugi Meiya who wishes to talk about his 2nd transfer out of school. This later results in the start of Muv-Luv where Gouda transfers out of Hakuryou and Meiya takes his seat next to Shirogane Takeru.!~

Washuu&#039;s &quot;son&quot; who turns out to be a clone of the White Prince. He has a resemblance to him and is admired by Jun, Miyama, and Hatoko to the point that he manipulates their emotions. Jun has a crush on him. Takashi&#039;s name literally means hawk. (from wikipedia)

The best friend of Akira Fudo, the main character of Nagai Go's classical horror manga Devilman. 

As Akira is the strength, Ryo is the brain. His father discovered the existence of demons in our world and decided to fight them. He asked his friend Akira for help. Ogata is one of Icchan&#039;s subordinates in the Angelic Layer control room and lab. Icchan often ensnares Ogata into situations that result in Ogata getting &quot;penalized.&quot; These penalties involve a range of embarrassing or terrible things, such as having a live octopus being stuck down his pants or being made to eat spaghetti through his nose. Icchan also named a remarkably ugly angel after him as a penalty.

Meito Anizawa, also known as Anime Tenchou, is the manager of the Animate shop that Konata regularly visits; he was originally the mascot of Animate. He and his staff consider Konata their most valued customer known as "Legendary Girl A" and go to great lengths to sell to her. Their attempts usually fail miserably. His appearance is heavily stylized compared to the other characters, and he is known for his hot-blooded yelling and highly energetic movements and poses.  He bears a very similar resemblance to Jouji Gouda in Akane Maniax.

Studied in the USA, Alec is a Scottish scientist hired by Kagami for the research of tennyo legends. He speaks Japanese with a thick accent, a certified genius with a very high IQ and is a complete otaku. He works for Mikage International and provided advanced technology for the development of C-Project. As the project progresses, Alec soon finds out that things are not really going to what he expected and tries to back out from it. The only thing keeping him from doing his job ends up being his own moral convictions.

He is by far the strongest member of the Touhoushinki (his strength in comparison to Kunieda is not confirmed, though it can be implied that he is stronger than her indirectly from their other fights). Toujou has an unexpected soft side towards smaller creatures and babies, though said creatures do not feel similarly towards him. He is mostly bored with weaklings and is always looking for a good fight, which subsequently leads to his interest towards Oga. He works multiple jobs and sometimes has to miss school because of them. He can feel Saotome using his demon power, which shows he has notable strength for a human.   He appears to know the female horsemen from Saint Ishiyama Academy (Shizuka Nanami) quite well. She referred to him as Tora when they met after the volleyball match.   He sees Oga as a potential rival, while Oga sees him as an opportunity to lay off Baby Be'el on someone else. Oddly enough, despite his appearance, he seems to have a thing for cute animals. He is often absent from school due to working several part-time jobs. One of his jobs is construction work. Toujou usualy behaves very calm, much different from the usual delinquents that frequent Ishiyama High. Having a good control over his own emotions and being known to be very bottled up: no one knows what he is really thinking at the moment. But the most striking part of his personality is, of course, his love for good fights-- a trait that he also shares with Oga. When the oportunity to face a worthy opponent arises, Toujou will think very little about any kind of consequences that his actions may provoke, something that gets very obvious on his first bout against Izuma. Another thing he also shares with Oga on terms of personality is his lack of intellect and focus on more passive matters, being, evidently, more interested on resolving any kind of problem he has to face with his own bare hands. He also has a fond to cute or little animals and things, like cats or even Baby Be'el - when they first met. Manji is the protagonist of the Japanese manga series Blade of the Immortal. In the story, he's known infamously both as the "Hundred Man Killer" for the number of men he's killed by the beginning of the series, and "Mister Twelve Blades" for the number of weapons he carries. He is most easily identified by the manji symbol he wears from which he derives his name and the scars across his face, and as the title of the manga implies, he's been given immortality by the means of the Kessen-chu, which prevent him (for the most part) from dying.

Masayoshi was a former member of the Gotei 13 who traveled around Soul Society with the Partisan Squad that hunted down drifting Hollows.  Masayoshi was once a member of the Gotei 13 and during his time there, was good friends with Yachiru Kusajishi. They were close and both shared a love for sweets, which Yachiru would bring to their meetings and share between them. During that time, he had a wife, whom he dearly loved. One day he argued with her just before leaving for a mission and the next time he saw her, she had been killed by a hollow. Unknown to Masayoshi, he had actually been possessed by a Hollow during the mission and in fact, as the Hollow, he had been the one who had killed his wife; the trauma of the event reverted Masayoshi to his former self when he looked into the mirror and he forgot what had occurred, blaming the unknown Hollow. The guilt of this episode would strongly influence his life so that he left the Gotei 13 and became a wandering Shinigami with the aim of personally eradicating all the Hollows in existence, especially the one who killed his wife, in retribution for what had occurred.
