Prior to the hunter exam, Leorio's close friend died to a curable illness, and Leorio was unable to save him due to his lack of money and knowledge. Because of this. he aims to become a doctor in order to help those without the money to pay for treatment.  In order to cover his tuition for medical school, he decides to take the hunter exam, where he meets Gon, Killua, and Kurapika. Leorio is also talented at bargaining, being able to haggle shopkeepers to no end. He often seems brash and rude, but overall he cares deeply for his friends. Leorio is an emitter, although learning nen did not come easily to him.

He is [Nasa Yuzaki](https://anilist.co/character/130944/Nasa-Yuzaki)'s father and is married to [Kanoka Yuzaki](https://anilist.co/character/190388/Kanoka-Yuzaki). He originally taught in a big Tokyo university but then he moved to Nara where he is living with his wife right now.

Ryu&#039;s best friend and the only son of the extremely rich Masters family. He lives in San Francisco with his parents in a very large mansion (it takes 20 minutes to drive from the front yard to the main house). He too spends a lot of time training as well, but not as much as Ryu. Ken also rides a motorcycle. His mother is Japanese. Ken also learns to use the power of Hadou later on while being held captive by Shadowlaw. Only Ryu knows the Hadoken, while both he and Ken know the Shoryuken. Ken later upgrades the Shoryuken to the Hadou Shoryuken, and then shortens it to the Hadou Shoryu. Sakazuki - Admiral Akainu, formerly known as Vice Admiral Sakazuki, is an Admiral in the world of One Piece, one of only three to hold such a position and subordinate only to Fleet Admiral Sengoku. In English, his name means "Red Dog."  Akainu is a firm believer in "Absolute Justice", going as far as destroying the refugee ship simply due to the possibility of even one scholar sneaking on board. His logic is that if even one of the scholars of Ohara had escaped with it, the mission would've been a failure, much to the dismay of Aokiji, who called him a fool for overdoing things. As an Admiral, Akainu is able to command vast number of Marine troops that are under his rank. Most of all, he has the ability to order a Buster Call attack on any island. In addition to this, given that he holds the same rank as Kizaru and Aokiji, it can be assumed that he commands comparable fighting abilities to those two.  He has the devil fruit ability where he is able to transform his body into magma.

Kuzan, however, was against the idea of having him become the new fleet admiral and the two admirals battled each other for the position on Punk Hazard. Sakazuki ended up as the victor of that battle, although both men were seriously wounded. Sakazuki, however, decided to let Kuzan live because they were comrades. After becoming fleet admiral, Sakazuki decided to relocate the Marine Headquarters to the New World in exchange for the Marine branch.!~



Soun is the head of the Tendo household and one of the two families to practice Anything Goes Martial Arts. He&#039;s a widower, left to single-handedly take care of his three daughters. He has a large house that is occasionally in need of repairs due to the fights that take place there. While he owns his own dojo, students have not been explicitly shown. Community representatives frequently approach him when they have problems with unusual phenomena, so this may provide some of it, and he has rented out the dojo for social meetings. However he is shown to be quite careful with the expenses and gets upset when Nabiki spends his savings on expensive gifts, or when Ranma throws the dinner on the floor. In the anime, he spends most of his time playing Shogi with his old training partner Genma. Soun is eager for his daughter to say she loves Ranma, or the other way around, to continue the legacy of his school. He&#039;ll start announcing wedding plans if Ranma and Akane seem romantically involved. Soun is able to manifest himself as a ghostly, floating oni head, whenever he is upset, and often cries &quot;Oh, the humanity!&quot; in the anime. He generally assumes most incidents are Ranma&#039;s fault. He&#039;s shown as extremely protective of his children, and becomes sad if their affection is in doubt. Ryouga is Ranma Saotome's eternal rival and a friend to him, the only one he has outright stated to truly consider as such, arguably the tritagonist, and one of the most powerful fighters in the series. Ryouga's most notable characteristic is that, like his parents (and even his entire family), he has no sense of direction whatsoever. He is unable to go the right way, often sticking to the letter of any directions given to him, regardless of whether the path eventually turns. He has an inability to understand even the simplest of directions or draw any legible maps, once running the wrong way at the start of a three-legged race or getting lost in Shampoo's house for hours; looking for the exit. He cannot even follow someone pointing in the correct direction.
