Gon is the son of [Ging Freecss](https://anilist.co/character/26/Ging-Freecss), a legendary hunter whose current whereabouts are unknown. He never knew his father was alive, much less a hunter until he met [Kite](https://anilist.co/character/20594/Kite); a hunter who was also looking for Ging. From this point on, he became determined to find his father and decided to take the Hunter exam to do so. He became friends with [Killua](https://anilist.co/character/27/Killua-Zoldyck) almost instantly when they met at the Hunter exam. Gon's an innocent and naive boy who is willing to help anyone, especially his friends. He rarely ever looks at anything in a bad way. His curious and naive personality often frustrates his friends, but this is also the reason why many people are attracted to him. He is also from the enhancement nen group. He usually fights barehanded or with his fishing rod, but Gon's fist is usually more deadly than any weapon.

He is a kindergarten-aged boy whose antics are the basis for the series. His affectionate name is Shin-chan. He is 5 years old and loves Chocobis and an animated superhero named "Action Kamen". He is attracted to older girls and women, despite his young age. He brazenly pursues any girl who catches his eye. He shares this trait with his father and paternal grandfather, but this often results in Mom's cruel punishment. The only girl he seems to really like is a college student named Nanako. Some of his strange activities include dressing up and mooning. In general, he is brutally honest, highly curious, and has no shame whatsoever. Ironically, there have been several instances in which his antics actually solved the problems of those around him. He also displays a surprising amount of talent at various activities including kendo. On rare occasions, he displays bouts of selfless kindness (for example, in one anime episode he saved a frog from a truck on a rainy day, getting all wet and dirty and risking Misae's ire since it was his last set of clean clothes), but these are often immediately followed by antics that negate the goodwill others feel. There are also times when Shin Chan displays a level of maturity beyond his usual self in his concern for others. For example, during the trip to Australia where he bumps into Kazama, he kindheartedly arranged for Kazama's father to play ball with his son after Shin Chan notices him being sad on the beach.

Tohru is a female dragon with the ability to transform into a human girl. After [Kobayashi](https://anilist.co/character/120969/Kobayashi) rescues her, she falls in love with her and decides to work for her as a maid.

As a Chaos Dragon, Tohru was raised to hate humans and was supposed to be a fierce and dangerous force of evil with nothing other than destruction in mind. However, this all changed when she met Kobayashi. She is now cheerful and kind to every human she meets, except for those who are real, or as it is in most cases, imaginary, threats to her love interest Kobayashi (such as [Makoto Takiya](https://anilist.co/character/120976/Makoto-Takiya)). She is also quickly influenced by what she sees on television or the internet and shares a fiery relationship with her rival, [Elma](https://anilist.co/character/120977/Elma).

As Kobayashi's maid, Tohru is a hard worker and cares deeply for the household, tending to all aspects of daily life, although this will often lead to trouble, such as when Tohru tries to feed her tail to Kobayashi, or when she molests Kobayashi's dirty laundry. Still, Kobayashi always shows her appreciation for Tohru's efforts and does her best to guide Tohru in the ways of modern life and human culture on Earth. Tohru is very protective of [Kanna](https://anilist.co/character/120974/Kanna-Kamui) and is essentially her mother figure and big sister combined. Having been accepted by Kobayashi even in her dragon form, Tohru quickly fell deeply in love with her. Even faced with Kobayashi's stoic character and often unrequited advances, Tohru never fails to make her unending love for Kobayashi known. Tohru's equally strong sexual attraction to Kobayashi often drives her to trickery, such as making a chocolate heart with a love potion secretly added, or finding different ways to attempt making Kobayashi eat her tail.

Tomoe is one of the Superior Dragon's, existing in the World of the Goddess. She is presently in servitude of Makoto Misumi.

She tends to have an easy-going personality, likes taking on new challenges and learning interesting things related to the Edo period of Japan. Different from her previously lazy and disˈinterested outlook of the world.

She's not serious at times to a dangerous degree.

She finds great enjoyment in seeing what changes would come from Makoto and especially learning things from his memories.
