Genba is a character of the day who appeared in JN051.
Genba met Ash and Goh, whilst they were investigating an outbreak of Geodude at Rock Tunnel. Ash received word that Genba was a challenger in the World Coronation Series and had a battle with Genba using his Gurdurr to battle Ash's Farfetch'd. After a tough match, Gurdurr was eventually defeated when Farfetch'd's Brutal Swing was able to smash through Gurdurr's girder, allowing Farfetch'd to know it out, causing Genba's ranking to go down.
