Snufkin (or Snusmumriken in the original Swedish and Nuuskamuikkunen in Finnish) is a character in the Moomin series of books by Finnish author Tove Jansson.   Moomintroll's best friend, who goes south every winter and returns in the spring. He is the son of the Mymble and the Joxter, and is half-brother to the Mymble's daughter and Little My. Snufkin is an adventurer and a vagabond, admired by those who are small and shy.   Snufkin wears old green clothes and a wide brimmed hat he's had since birth. He lives in a tent, smokes a pipe, and plays the harmonica. Snufkin also has a great dislike for authority figures such as the Park Keeper, and the many regulation signs and fences he puts up, and as such is often thought of as an anarchist. At one point he sabotages The Park Keeper by planting Hattifatteners in his garden, causing them to grow and drive him out.   Snufkin prefers freely-growing foliage to fenced-in lawns. Snufkin keeps as few worldly possessions as possible, seeing them as a burden, and being happier keeping the memory of a thing than the thing itself. Orphaned in his younger years, he is a somewhat restless soul who left the orphanage to venture out into the world in his youth but has now settled down, determined to be a responsible father to his family. He is almost always wearing his black top-hat, inside which is painted, "M.P. from your M.M." to differentiate it from all the other top hats in the world. A senior from 'Hemulen' species which is an avid collector. He used to collect flowers and stamps and then became a Birdwatcher. He is good hearted person yet pitiful due to the unstopping pranks of Stinky. He helps Moomin and the Snork Maiden whenever they are in need of help. The Hemulen's Aunt raised Moominpappa in an orphanage.

Yamato is a character in the anime and manga series Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02 and Digimon Adventure tri. He is a DigiDestined, partnered with Gabumon, and the bearer of the Crest of Friendship. He is the older brother of Takeru Takaishi.

Yamato starts as a secretive loner with a cool demeanor. He is mature, thoughtful and level-headed, and more likely to think things through than charge head-on. He is a deeply caring person who will do anything for a friend and is very protective of his loved ones. He is prone to second-guessing and self-deprecation when he cannot protect others—his self-worth hinges on his ability to be a good friend. Unlike Tai, who is more willing to look at the "big picture", sometimes to the detriment of his friends, Yamato always tries to focus on the good of his small circle of friends. As a teenager, he is more laid-back and easygoing and is more willing to support his friends risking themselves against enemy Digimon. However, he still reacts strongly when his friends are under pressure, such as when the news depicted the team's Digimon as monsters, and Tai became reluctant to defend their reputation due to fears about possible casualties. He is also a good singer. 

Yamato's younger brother, Takeru Takaishi, is also one of the eight DigiDestined, but their parents are divorced and so they cannot spend much time together. He is very protective of Takeru and often acts harshly when Takeru is in trouble. After their adventures in the Digital World, their relationship becomes closer, and Matt trusts T.K. more, acknowledging his burgeoning independence. 

Agumon is a short and stout dinosaur-like Digimon. The most well-known appearance of Agumon is in the Digimon Adventure anime as the partner of Taichi Yagami, in which Agumon's personality is extremely brave, relaxed, and funny. He can evolve into Greymon (Champion), MetalGreymon (Ultimate), WarGreymon (Mega) and Omnimon through DNA Digivolution with MetalGarurumon.  In Digimon Savers, Agumon is given a slightly different design as he is taller, has more teeth, longer claws, wider forearms and red training bracers. He is partnered with Masaru Daimon and evolves into GeoGreymon (Champion), RizeGreymon (Ultimate) and ShineGreymon/ShineGreymon Burst Mode (Mega).  (Source: Wikipedia)

Gennai serves as a guide to the Digital World. He is a mysterious being that the DigiDestined first encounter after the battle with Devimon. He claims to be data, but without the same attributes as Digimon. Gennai appeared first to the DigiDestined as a very old man, but when Kari is possessed by the powers of light and gives them a glimpse of the history of the Digital World, he is seen as a young man wearing a hooded robe that somewhat resembles clothes of a Jedi Knight, apparently one among many of his kind. Gennai and his group were the ones that created the Digivices, Tags, and Crests, as well as choosing the Chosen Digimon.    ~!Soon, however, the Dark Masters discovered their plans, and Piedmon, along with an army of Guardromon and Mekanorimon, invaded and destroyed the secret base, killing all save Gennai. Piedmon stole the Tags and Crests, but Gennai interrupted him by attacking him with a sword. Piedmon inserted a mysterious black ball into Gennai before Gennai leapt into a Mekanorimon and kicked the Bakemon driver out—escaping with the Digi-Eggs of the Chosen Digimon and the Digivices. In the process, he dropped one egg — Gatomon's — which later hatched and grew up alone. The purpose of the mysterious black ball was never officially explained on screen or by any members of the series' production staff. Many fans believe that it caused Gennai to age into the old man he was in the first series.  Later, Gennai's secret base became Myotismon's castle.  At some point after Digimon Adventure, Gennai called the DigiDestined back into the Digital World to ask them to give up the power of their Crests to add another layer of protection to the Digital World, which they did. He did not appear again until the second series, where he appeared as a young man. It is thought that he accomplished this by copying himself, as many more of his kind later appeared in the series, and one of them stated that he and Gennai were once one and the same. It is possible that the people seen with him in the flashback in the first series were also copies of the original Gennai.!~

He took over the position as team leader from his mentor Tai and received his idol's goggles during the handover. Although he often rushes into things and makes mistakes, his courage in the face of outstanding odds cannot be denied. No matter how dire the situation, he always believes that they can somehow make it through.
