She is a plain looking 18-year-old young adult, who passes all of her time working in a hat shop. She has big brown eyes and matching hair, tied with two pink ribbons, in a long braid. She has thick eyebrows, and Howl says that her smile is beautiful. She wears a cerulean dress with a white neck and black buttons. Sophie is a gentle, quiet young woman who doesn't like being in the spotlight. She is mature, and wears clothes meant for women older than her, despite her sister, Lettie's, protests. Sophie also initiates cleaning the massive castle. After getting cursed by the Witch of the Waste, she gains the appearance of a 90-year-old woman (with a similar appearance to Yubaba or Zeniba) with wrinkled skin and pain on her spine. According to her, she becomes more cunning as she has grown older. She still wears her dress, and now wears her straw hat adorned with a red ribbon. Due to her love for Howl, Sophie de-ages depending on her emotional state.

Anzu is the childhood friend of Yugi Mutou. She becomes a good friend to Katsuya Jonouchi and Hiroto Honda, though she is not fond of them at first. 

In the first series anime, Miho Nosaka is also one of Anzu's friends. Anzu does not usually play games with Yugi and his friends, though she is once shown beating Jonouchi. In the manga, especially in the beginning, Anzu has a spunky, tomboyish personality, and in the first chapter, frightens Honda and Jonouchi into leaving the room after they bully Yugi. Anzu possesses a very kind-hearted, strong-willed, and supportive personality. In the Duel Monsters anime, she and Honda, are basically cheerleaders for Yugi and Jonouchi whenever they duel, but she has proven herself adept at dueling as well, and usually keeps up with the going-ons of a duel. She is more feminine, polite, and has a stronger sense of faith and friendship for her group of friends, often serving as the mother/sister figure for the boys. She is known among fans of the Duel Monsters English anime for her "friendship speeches".  

Anzu is athletic and holds jobs to save money in order to attend a dance school in New York City. In the beginning of the series, she is revealed to be working at "Burger World". By Volume 4 in the manga, Anzu is fired from that job for punching a customer who had pinched her buttocks. She gets a job at KaibaCorp afterwards and encounters her friends at KaibaLand. In the Toei anime, Anzu, Honda, and Miho work at Burger World, with Miho and Honda working to support Anzu. Once Burger World closes, Honda and Miho work for a beef bowl restaurant. In the opening scenes of the 1999 film Yugi and his friends discover that she works at "Duel Monsters Center," a Duel Monsters parlor. She already knows Shōgo Aoyama, a regular of the parlor and Yugi's neighbor.  While responding to a fan mail asking him why Yugi and Anzu are not in a romantic relationship, Takahashi stated that the relationship between Anzu and both Yugis is "pretty much a love triangle." He added that Yugi and Anzu "always" act in a "very careful" manner in front of one another, so they cannot admit their feelings for one another. 

Anzu's first Deck is a Fairy Deck. It focuses on Light-Attribute Fairy monsters, and spells to enhance them. Her second Deck is a Spellcaster Deck. Almost all the cards are devoted to the Spellcaster theme, like Fire Sorcerer, Maha Vailo and the Dark Magician Girl because of her one-sided love with both Yugis. She duels once in the manga and three times during the course of the second anime series. Hikari is a ten-year-old Pokémon Coordinator from Futaba Town and a former traveling companion of Satoshi and Takeshi. Her goal is to become a great Top Coordinator like her mother, Ayako. Her first Pokémon was a Pochama that she received from Dr. Nanakamado.

Shizuka is the smart, kind, and pretty neighborhood girl who is the object of Nobita's affections. She takes baths several times a day. Nobita often disrupts her in the bath due to some misuse of Doraemon's gadgets, resulting in Nobita's head getting dunked. She is also known for taking piano lessons unwillingly, which is sometimes used as an excuse for declining to hang out with Nobita. Her true passions are sweet potatoes, which she'd rather keep to herself out of the knowledge of others, and the violin, in which her playing is as atrocious as Gian's singing. Due to Doraemon's intervention, Shizuka will become Nobita's wife in the future timeline, and the mother of his son.

Mayumi works at Iruma Air Base in Saitama Prefecture as a dragon pilot. She is big, slow, powerful and always smiling calmly. When she was working at a zoo, an employee of Iruma Air Base witnessed that all savage animals were attached to her and scouted her for a dragon pilot. Mayumi understands dragons and tells their feeling to other pilots. She pilots a dragon which mimics C-1, the transport aircraft.

Julie would best be described as a little princess and in conversation she can be a little vacant. She’s bubbly, extroverted and adores Dan! She is his number one fan. Julie lives in the isolated Bakugan Valley. She is a master of direct attacks and uses Earth attributes in battle.  She is a 16 year old, and through out the series, she acts more mature and she gets taller. Her change as the other characters though out each season; she wears pink in the first season, a bleached rainbow shirt with white shorts during New Vestroia, and a dark blue shirt and sometimes a green jacket in Gundalian Invaders. She also sometimes wears a cheerleading uniform and a cafe uniform.  In the beginning of the series she only made appereances chatting with the Battle Brawlers in a chat room on the site, and would usually get eager to hear if Dan has won any battles or not.   New Vestroia: Julie is now 15, wearing new clothes like all others, and this time she does not have the same mutual feelings for Dan like she did in the first season, but is still dating Billy and gets postcards from him, time to time.   She is seen with Marucho in the first episode, spying on Runo and Dan. When Drago asks for help everyone volunteers but Drago asks the girls and Marucho to turn around so Dan and Drago can come but Marucho enters the portal also. Julie and Runo are furious as the boys ditched them. Julie is later seen talking about Billy at the diner where the girls work restating the romantic bond between them.   Julie returns to help Runo to get to New Vestroia and help Dan, Marucho, and Drago, which goes wrong and leaves Runo trapped between both world.   In Gundalian Invaders, Julie has also moved to Bayview, like Dan, and works at a local cafe as a waitress. She turns out to be a cheerleader at Dan's school, cheering for Jake Vallory's team and was concerned about Dan's vision. She is still part of the Brawlers and sometimes helps out with Bakugan Interspace.   Due to a new bakugan evolution of Gorem, Quakix Gorem. It lead many fans to belive that she will continue brawling, but it was proven false since she never brawled in the entire season. Raquel is a dog-like fairy mascot, one of the four main mascots in Doki Doki! Pretty Cure. She is very reliable, much like her partner, Cure Diamond. She ends her sentences with "~quel!".

Originally from the school paper, after seeing Raimon play against Teikoku, she became a big fan and decided to be a manager. She is the sister of Yuuto Kidou, however, has not had any contact with him for 6 years. 

Midou Reika is a forward and ace striker for the Osaka Gals. She played with her team against Raimon, but Osaka Gals lost. During the match she was seen flirting with Kazemaru. She scored once using Butterfly Dream with Rika during the match.
