Takeru Takaishi is a character in the anime and manga series Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02 and Digimon Adventure tri.. He is a DigiDestined, partnered with Patamon, and embodies the trait of Hope. He is the younger brother of Yamato Ishida.

Takeru is a very cheerful and amiable person. He doesn't like when others are fighting or sad, and will do anything in his power to make others happy. He is very protective of his loved ones, especially after Patamon's sacrifice, and takes his duty as a protector of the Digital World very seriously. He is rather optimistic, and always tries to keep a smile on his face.

Hikari Yagami is a character in the anime and manga series Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02 and Digimon Adventure tri.. Hikari is a DigiDestined, partnered with Gatomon, and embodies the trait of Crest of Light. She is the younger sister of Taichi Yagami.

Kari is the sweet, innocent and cheerful younger sibling of a Digidestined. She always looking for the best side of people and doesn't fight but can be serious in drastic situations. Kari is also selfless, as she would put the safety of others before her own and doesn't want to trouble others. Her relationship with Yolei allows Kari to be more expressive, true to her heart, and overcomes the power of darkness as her friends are always there for her. As a young child, she is prone to illness, but grows out of it. As a teenager, Kari is whimsical, but is still a down-to-earth person.

Kari is shown to have a unique connection to light and darkness, which seems to be related to her associated trait of her crest. She is empowered by the powers of light on one hand, but very susceptible to the powers of darkness on the other, leading her to be empowered by light and weakened by overwhelming darkness. Her stronger willpower after forming friendship with Yolei allows her to overcome this negative aspect.

Kari is very close to Tai and hero-worships him for his kindness and strength well into adolescence. Tai and Kari used to share a room, but sometime between Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02, Tai has moved to another room. Dark Gennai noted that Kari's connection to Tai and her 'sensitive' nature made her easier to 'break', and the shock from Tai's apparent death caused her negative emotions to influence the creation of Ordinemon.

Tailmon appears similar to a white Egyptian kitten, with enormous yellow and red gloves and black claws. In the dub, she speaks in a soft, drawling voice. The Japanese version, however, has her in a much older voice to reflect her maturity as a Adult level Digimon. As Plotmon, she acts more youthful like many of the Child level Digimon. Her name, &quot;Gatomon,&quot; comes from &quot;gato&quot;, which means &quot;cat&quot; in Spanish, Greek, and Portuguese. 

Tailmon first appeared in Digimon Adventure as a malicious Digimon working for Vamdemon. As a Digi-Egg, Tailmon had been separated from the other seven Chosen Digimon. When she later digivolved into Plotmon, Vamdemon took her under his wing. Plotmon eventually naturally evolved into Tailmon and became one of Vamdemon's lieutenants in his army of Digimon. During this time, she gained a rival in one of his other minions, PicoDevimon, as the two competed for their master's favour. Her only friend was Wizarmon, a friendly Digimon who Tailmon had once helped. Tailmon also bears red X-shaped scars from when Vamdemon &quot;beat&quot; her because he did not like her eyes.
