An old man who trained Hakufu when she was a child. He is an old friend of Goei, and he possibly trained her too, and has also trained Ukitsu and Rikuson. He explains to Goei about Hakufu's fate to be killed by Ukitsu. When Ukitsu was recovering from her fight with Hakufu, Chokou mentions that her loss to Hakufu was a necessary sacrifice needed to awaken Hakufu's dragon. He is currently trying to teach the Water Dragon Fist to Hakufu with the help of Rikuson and Saji.  In the anime, he is referred by Hakufu as "Grandfather" (it may just be a title, as elderly family friends are called grandfathers in Japan), and he helps train Hakufu and Ryomou at his hot springs. He is also shown to be slightly perverse, as seen during one sparring session when he purposely knocked both Hakufu and Ryomou into a lake just to see them wet. In Dragon Destiny, he is the one who performs a revival on Hakufu's body where he only manages to awaken her dragon, but was able to keep her dragon under control. He tells Ukitsu that only she is able to revive Hakufu's spirit. We find out that he also trained Hakugen. At the end of the series, he and Hakugen are seen attending Ukitsu's grave, and he gives thanks to Ukitsu for sacrificing her life in order to save Hakufu, thus changing the fates of many fighters for the better. 

One of Silva's friends and organizers of the Shaman Fight, Kalim tested and deemed Horohoro to be qualified to take part in the Shaman Fight. His spirit partner is a bull named BlackSickle, with his medium being a bull skull and leg bones allowing BlackSickle to merge with the lower half of his body. His plant is the plateau.

He shares an apartment with Silva during the tournament in Tokyo, where the two constantly bicker over the heat (because they cannot afford an air conditioner and the summer is so warm and humid). Like Silva, Kalim sells handcrafted Patch goods to make somewhat of a living while in Tokyo. Kalim frequently provides a voice of reason to somewhat quell Silva's desire to interfere in the Shaman Tournament.  Kalim is apparently hemaphobic.

Following the trend of Patch priests being named after metals, Kalim's name derives from Kari (加里 or カリ), or Kariumu (カリウム) meaning potassium in Japanese (derived from the German language Kalium).

Bason is the ghost of an ancient Chinese wujiang who serves Ren faithfully and obeys him without question. In the English manga Bason calls Ren &quot;Master Ren,&quot; while in the Japanese version he calls Ren &quot;Bocchama,&quot; which means &quot;Young Master.&quot; Later he became a valued friend of his young master Ren. His date of birth and blood type are unknown.    

Bason has served the Tao family for several generations and has sworn to serve Ren by any means possible. He carries a kwan dao (a weapon similar to a halberd, but with one curved edge and one straight edge following the line of the handle). In his days as an ancient Chinese warrior, Bason rode into battle on a horse named Hei-Tao; the spirit of Hei-Tao can be integrated into another horse kept by Ren, named B&aacute;i-Feng, to perform the Perfect Re-enactment of the Vorpal Dance. Bason is capable of adding tremendous strength and speed to Ren&#039;s kwan dao, and even making it quite larger, but also uses his body in attacks such as the Golden Punch. In Giant Spirit Form, Bason appears as a gigantic robot capable of launching fireballs.    

Like Ren, Bason appears very cold and cruel at the beginning of the series, however, following interaction with Yoh Asakura, Bason, like his master, begins to soften up and develop a much more pleasant disposition. He feels an overwhelming sense of duty to his master, even breaking down in tears when Ren is imprisoned by his father. While Bason and Amidamaru are very hostile and competitive at first, they soon become friendly rivals.

Tarou&#039;s new counselor and therapist. An eccentric clinical psychologist from Tokyo University, he introduces much of the series&#039; psychological terminology, and is apparently interested in Tarou&#039;s dreams and condition as a means supporting his own theories. Initially he does not believe Tarou&#039;s O.B.Es. are in any way supernatural and attributes these moments as states of altered consciousness. He later begins to admit that there may be a supernatural component, and that the land around the mountain in question may be the trigger of these events. Mr. Sukizo (Japanese: スキゾーさん Mr. Sukizō) is the president of the Pok&eacute;mon Fan Club and one of the judges for Pok&eacute;mon Contests along with Mr. Contesta and Nurse Joy.    His appearance resembles that of a male Pok&eacute;Fan, which may have served as inspiration for his design. Shinomori Aoshi was raised a ninja of the Oniwabanshū, who worked for the Shogunate government during the Edo period. He helped to raise Makimachi Misao from childhood as a member of the Oniwabanshū. After the revolution, since a few members of the Oniwabanshū were unable to adapt to life in the Meiji era, Aoshi and these members worked for the corrupt, power-hungry business man, Takeda Kanryū instead. Aoshi&#039;s subordinates included Beshimi, who specialised in darts and poison; Hyotoko, whose name literally means &quot;Fire Man&quot; and uses flint-and-steel teeth to breathe fire; Han&#039;nya, a skilled martial artist, deft ninjutsu practitioner and Aoshi&#039;s student; and Shikijou, a &quot;muscle man&quot;.  Aoshi himself remains an enigma. He rarely (if ever) shows emotions in or out of a battle. His weapon in the beginning of the series involved only one kodachi (in combination with martial arts). However, after his defeat at Himura Kenshin&#039;s hands at Kanryu&#039;s mansion, he dedicated himself fully to revenge for the sake of his fallen comrades. When Aoshi next appears, he uses double-kodachi, and seems to have fully disregarded his emotions in order to kill Himura.   They fight at Shishio Makoto&#039;s mansion in order to settle the score, and upon the battle&#039;s break, Aoshi realizes where he went wrong, and becomes somewhat of an ally.

Cyrus is Team Galactic&#039;s leader.    He made his first appearance in Losing Its Lustrous! and Double Team Turnover!, along with Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. It was revealed that he is a rich businessman who has made most of the buildings and libraries throughout Sinnoh. However, Ash and the others do not know that he is also the Team Galactic leader. Using his businessman alter-ego, he visits the Celestic Town Historical Research Center while the remaining members of Team Galactic carry out a plan to steal the Lustrous Orb from the Research Center, after having already stolen the Adamant Orb from its Eterna City police escort.    He discovers from Ash and Dawn that they have seen Azelf and Mesprit when the two tell of their encounters with the mysterious Pok&eacute;mon at Lake Verity and Lake Valor, which apparently intrigues him    He appeared again in Saving the World From Ruins!. He was seen in Team Galactic&#039;s headquarters alongside Saturn and Jupiter as well as Charon. They were coordinating Mars&#039;s mission on Iron Island and using a beam launched with the Spear Key to scan energy readings from the Spear Pillar. However, Mars&#039;s machine was destroyed when the scan had reached only 60%, presumably ruining their mission. Despite this, Cyrus did not appear to be discouraged.  Cyrus takes control of Dialga and Palkia with the Red Chain    Cyrus also appeared towards the end of Unlocking the Red Chain of Events!, where he requested J&#039;s services in capturing Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf. In The Battle Finale of Legend!, he takes control of Dialga and Palkia, and steps into a portal created by the two legendary Pok&eacute;mon. The portal soon got destroyed, leaving Cyrus&#039;s fate unknown.

Saturn made his first appearance at the ending of A Secret Sphere of Influence!, though it was a brief appearance at the end of the episode. He, along with the other Team Galactic Grunts, commented that Jessie, James  and Meowth did a lousy job at stealing the Adamant Orb for them, and framing Nando  for the crime.    Saturn later reappeared in Journey to the Unown!, along with his Bronzor. He managed to steal a cube that was under the guard of the Unown of the Solaceon Ruins and brought it with him back to the Team Galactic HQ.    Saturn appeared again in Enter Galactic!, with the cube he obtained in Solaceon Ruins, which he exposed to the meteorites in Veilstone City, transforming it into the Spear Key. Later, he and a few Galactic Grunts went to go steal the meteorites, but ended up meeting Ash and his friends for the first time. He also battles Brock and his Croagunk with his own Toxicroak, but it ends in a draw, as Team Galactic retreats and fails their mission.    He appeared in Losing Its Lustrous and Double Team Turnover!, along with Cyrus, Jupiter and Mars. They stole the Lustrous Orb and the Adamant Orb from the Celestic Town Historical Research Center.    He reappeared with Cyrus, Jupiter and Charon in Saving the World From Ruins! where he was put in charge of excavation of the Spear Pillar from Mt. Coronet.    Saturn appeared again in Gateway to Ruin!, along with Charon, where they attempted to locate the ruins of Mt. Coronet.    Saturn also appeared in the Team Galactic finale with three episodes, Unlocking the Red Chain of Events!, The Needs of the Three! and The Battle Finale of Legend!. During the final battle, his Toxicroak was defeated by Croagunk and after Cyrus passed through the portal created by Dialga and Palkia he realized that Cyrus had just been using him and the other commanders to reach his own goals and cared little for those who served him. Afterwards he was arrested along with Mars and Jupiter by Looker and, unlike Mars, knew that Team Galactic was finished.

Grandpa Hino is Rei&#039;s lively and somewhat lecherous grandfather who is just as stubborn as Rei. Rei lives with him at his Shrine. He is a priest who is very skilled at martial arts. He is three feet tall, and has no hair.      ~!He is also the seventh nijizuishou carrier.!~

He is the only doctor in Cappy Town. He runs a small, low tech clinic, but doesn't get many bad cases aside from colds, toothaches, and the occasional case of sleeping sickness. Many of the Cappies don't like visiting him, as he has many painful strategies of fighting cavities.
