Shigeru Aoba is First Lieutenant at NERV and a computer technician. At times a stereotypical metal head, he is a nihilist and plays guitar (he can also sometimes be seen strumming an air guitar).  ~!In his implementation sequence, Lilith forces her way through his AT Field by bombarding him with a wall of Reis in which he screams in fear. She supposedly takes this tactic with his implementation because there is no one he loves or trusts enough to let his guard down, suggesting a possible layer of solitude and bitterness behind his cynical persona.!~ Again, his character is not explored in depth within the series. * First appearance: Battle 9 * Age: 45 * Height: 174cm * Weight: 68kg * Type: Dou * Type: Katsujin Ken * Martial Arts: Marksmanship  Shirahama Mototsugu is Kenichi and Honoka's protective father and Saori's husband. Mototsugu is a middle-aged man with short dark blue hair and a fairly lean figure as he keeps himself in descent shape for a man his age. He's typically seen in suits from work or just ordinary shirts when around the house. As a young teenager, he was less lean and had more hair on the top of his head that was more full and smooth.   He is gradually impressed with Kenichi's growth as a man, but feels sad that his son is growing further and further away from him. He often acts in a goofy and rather foolish manner and is usually used as comedic relief of the series with his over-protective attitude when it comes to his sons well-being, especially when he prepares to use his shotgun Sebastian to get his son back. He even choose to try to bring him home by force after hearing of how cruel his training in his dojo. And when Honoka asks if Tanimoto Natsu could come over he prepares to use his shotgun Sebastian on him.  His wife, Saori tends to make sure he doesn't do anything too rash or embarrassing towards their children, especially Kenichi. He claims that he was quite popular with women Kenichi's age and Saori often left him love letters for him. However, in truth it was him who gave her tons of love letters to win her affection, which actually worked. She usually has to knock him on the head to keep him from doing something drastic in comedic relief. However despite this, the two love each other very much and she's often impressed by his actions of bravery and seriousness when it comes to their son, as she always calls him "anata".   He has two shotguns named Sebastian and Maximilian, which he often tries to take with him in order to take back Kenichi from the Ryozanpaku dojo, however, his wife manages to stop him every time. Despite his foolish attitude, he is actually very skilled in its use (good enough for Shigure to say that he was pretty good), and when he finally shows up at the dojo (with a new hunting rifle his wife doesn't know about, named Ludwig) he is able to carry Kenichi under his arm, the gun in the other, reload while on the run, and has a good enough aim to stop Shigure's traps.

 He is Sanshou's son​ and heir to her Curry of Life Shop.

* First appearance: Battle 95 * Type: Dou * Type: Katsujin Ken * Martial Arts: Chinese Kenpo (Seven Stars Praying Mantis)  Ryuu Genson is a practitioner of the Seven Stars Praying Mantis Fist and the more skilled of Ma Ryou (Uncle Hakubi)'s disciples. He wears sunglasses and more modern clothes compared to his partner and is more irritable and arrogant.  Genson first appears with his fellow disciple and partner Shokatsu Kouan to take Ma Renka back to Hakubi. With Koan, he ends up fighting Kenichi, who easily defeats his teammate. As Genson fights Kenichi, he drives the latter into the pool they were fighting near. Genson then fights with Kenichi in the water and shows surprise at Kenichi's leg strength, as the latter had been training in the water earlier.   Genson and his opponent pass out under water and are rescued by the elder, who interrupts the fight by splitting the water in half, comically annoyed with the way the battle was being dragged out. In the aftermath, Genson and Koan apologize for the misunderstanding caused by Renka and leave with her to go back to Hakubi's place.  Genson reappears with his partner when Renka transfers to Kenichi's school, and accompanies her to take down Black Tiger White Dragon thugs sent to kill her. While the three are evenly matched with the enemy master, Genson receives assistance from Takeda and the four are able to defeat the master without much difficulty.   Genson practices the Seven Stars Praying Mantis Fist, and is first seen using the Northern Praying Mantis stance. He was expected at the D of D by Gaku Shin Ten, whose expectations were likely based on either the latter's abilities or his renown in the Phoenix Alliance. 

* First appearance: Battle 20 * Type: Dou * Type: Satsujin Ken * Martial Arts: Street Fighting  Furukawa Takashi first appears in chapter 20 with a group of members that tried to capture Kenichi. When he fights Kenichi, he appears to hold his own, but he snaps after he starts to bleed from Kenichi's punch and resorts to using a knife, which quickly frightens Kenichi. Fortunately, Miu knocks the knife right out of Takashi's hand with Kenichi's belt.   Later on, when Kenichi is on his way home, he tries to take Kenichi to Kisara once again. This time, after a long day spent training with Shigure, Kenichi is able to overcome his fear of weapons and easily defeats Takashi, during which he rants about how he had to spend the day dodging a sword because of Takashi.

* First appearance: Battle 32 * * Type: Dou * Type: Katsujin Ken * Martial Arts: Koppou  Tsuji Shinnosuke (nicknamed "Shaggy Hair" by Kenichi) first appears in Battle 24 as an ambitious rival of Kisara's, often getting into arguments with other members about who was stronger. Though he has few techniques, his fighting experience without any particular fighting style more than made up for it during his first fight with Kenichi.  Tsuji had hoped to one day lead a gang stronger than Ragnarok but his dreams were crushed by Kenichi. He initially had hordes of men as followers, but after he was beaten by Kenichi's unintentional sneak attack, he lost all but two of them. Tsuji was angry at Kenichi at first, but calmed down when his two remaining followers stated that they stuck by him because he was their friend. He grows a bit of respect for Kenichi, informing him of Takeda's impending punishment at the hands of Ragnarok and warning him of Hermit.  Following his defeat by Kenichi, Tsuji goes into the mountains to train. He finds a master, a large old man wearing a bear skin over his head that stretched down to his legs who decided to teach Tsuji his martial arts under the condition that Tsuji has to leave the mountains when he finishes his training.  Tsuji comes back from his training in the mountains to return to Ragnarok, and immediately heads over to Kisara's headquarters to challenge her. However, he is more than surprised to find out that Ragnarok has disbanded and Shinpaku Alliance now holds it. Losing the initial purpose of his training, he decides to seek out Kenichi again to defeat him in a rematch.  While he fights Kenichi in Ryozanpaku, Tsuji demonstrates a tremendous increase in skill, though his punches are still slow enough for Kenichi to dodge. Nonetheless, he was able to obtain a victory over Kenichi, ironically by means of an opportune attack when Kenichi looked away, similar to how he was defeated by Kenichi. He then runs away refusing a rematch saying that he's going to hold onto the victory for the rest of his life and never fight Kenichi again.   According to Akisame, the style Tsuji uses is possibly over a thousand years old and is one of the oldest Japanese styles of Koppou and revolved around the Kanji 昒, which means talent or skill to understand a clever technique in little time in contemporary Japanese and "core" in ancient Japanese. For practitioners, the difference between those who knew the "core" and those who didn't was in their understanding. Tsuji's way of Koppou was a little different from how it is used in regular styles.
