Nurse Joy is a recurring character in every Pokemon series released.   There are multiple Nurse Joys in every town, city and region. They all look the same, have the same voice and personalities. There have been numerous speculations as to why all the Joys look alike, though it seems they are all related in some way.   However, there have been instances in which a Nurse Joy has been known to have a different personality and appearance (such as the aggressive sun-tanned Nurse Joy of the Orange Islands). Brock has an ability to tell each Joy apart based on minute details in their differences.   Each Joy works in the field of medicine, loves Pokemon and is extremely patient and caring. They are the heads of their respective Pokemon Centres.   A Nurse Joy's Pokemon choices are predominantly Chansey and Blissey: nurturing Pokemon that aid in the Pokemon Centres.

She is Ash&#039;s mother. Delia is very caring of her son, always reminding him to do his best. She is very talented, having won a beauty pageant and cooked a dish so popular that elite chefs at the Indigo Plateau have asked for its recipe. It is not known who is the father of Ash, but it isn&#039;t clear that Ash&#039;s parents have separated, although she has contacted him at least once since Ash left. She has a Mr. Mime housekeeper who helps her with chores and is also rather adept in battle. In the Japanese version, the name of Satoshi&#039;s mother was, for a long time, unrevealed (with her referring to herself as Satoshi no haha or referred as Mama-san, although the role was credited as Hanako). Hikaru travels around in her van, where she trains Pokémon to dance and perform various acrobatic moves to put on shows, similar to a Pokémon Coordinator.

Kanna is an Ice-type Trainer and the first member of the Indigo Elite Four.

Kanna's skills are highly regarded and she makes frequent appearances in the media, though she is dismissive of her fame and the praise of others. Instead, she mentors up-and-coming Trainers and hosts her own lectures. In particular, she teaches Trainers to find their inner strength and value the connection they have with their Pokémon.

Natsume is the Gym Leader of Yamabuki City's Gym, known officially as the Yamabuki Gym. She hands out the Marsh Badge to Trainers who defeat her. She possesses psychic abilities and specializes in Psychic-type Pokémon.

As Natsume's psychic powers increased, she grew more obsessed with developing them. She also became less emotional, using her abilities for destructive purposes. This caused a deep psychological rift, and the emotions she tried to shut off developed into a separate personality: a young girl who manifested as a puppet around Natsume. Natsume's mind was then divided into the cold, callous woman with a thirst for power and the little girl who just wanted to have fun.

Prior to befriending Ghost, Natsume was a menacing and strong Gym Leader. She was shown to be able to telepathically command her Yungerer. However, her lighthearted nature was seen briefly at the end of "Ghost VS Esper!".

Liza (Japanese: ジーク Sieg) is the caretaker of the Charicific Valley, which is made specifically as a natural paradise for wild Charizard.    Liza made her debut appearance in Charizard&#039;s Burning Ambitions. Ash&#039;s Charizard wanted to train at the valley seeing the other powerful Charizard there but Liza refused after it lost to her Charizard, Charla. But seeing its determination to train there, she agreed.    Liza made a brief cameo appearance in the third movie with Charla and other Charizard from the Charicific Valley.    Liza later appeared in Great Bowls of Fire! bringing Ash&#039;s Charizard with her. It was revealed that she was good friends with Clair since they were young children. Liza often takes the Charizard from the Charicific Valley to Blackthorn City in order to train them.    Ash would also call Liza sometimes whenever he needed Charizard sent over.

Daisy (Japanese: サクラ Sakura) is the oldest of Misty&#039;s sisters, and the one who gets along the best with Misty out of the three. Cheerful and somewhat absent-minded, Daisy spends more time at the Cerulean Gym than Violet or Lily, though she is still not very responsible as a Gym Leader; she will give Gym Badges out for free, even when Misty is the official leader.  When Misty left to become a Water Pok&eacute;mon Master, Daisy and her other two sisters were put in charge of the gym. However, after Gary and the other two trainers from Pallet Town defeated them consecutively, they decided to stop accepting battles and to instead perform water ballet shows for the residents of Cerulean City. They were continuing this and neglecting the gym when Misty stopped by to drop off her Starmie and her Horsea to play at the gym. It is unknown for how long afterwards the sisters continued to do this.  In Gotta Catch Ya Later!, the sisters called Misty to tell her that they had won a trip around the world. They made Misty return to Cerulean City so she could take over the role of gym leader for them.  They returned to the gym two weeks before A Date with Delcatty. However, Misty is still the official gym leader, with Daisy and the other sisters filling in when Misty is away. However, they still don&#039;t like battling, and in A Real Cleffa-Hanger, Daisy asked Misty if they could just give badges to the trainers instead of battling them. 

Manami is a character of the week from ep 29.
She tried to convince her father, [Anoki](https://anilist.co/character/26647/Anoki), to come home, but he told her he wouldn't until he won the P1 Grand Prix. Takeshi sympathized with Manami's feelings, so he and Satoshi volunteered to help defeat Anoki in the tournament.

Midori is a girl who lives in a Hidden Village located in the mountains somewhere between Hanada City and Kuchiba City.

Marina lives in the Orange Islands. She, like Misty, is a Water-type Pok&eacute;mon Trainer, and the two of them became fast friends. When they met, Misty&#039;s Psyduck had a bright pink tail. Marina said that meant the Pok&eacute;mon was going to evolve soon, which excited Misty. Realizing their shared enthusiasm for Water Pok&eacute;mon, the two decided to have a battle to determine who was the best Water Pok&eacute;mon trainer.    In the subsequent battle, Misty&#039;s Goldeen lost to Marina&#039;s Tentacruel, but her Staryu evened the odds. Marina then used her Psyduck, which proved to be much more powerful than Misty&#039;s, as it did not need a headache to unleash its Psychic powers.    With Staryu having fainted, Misty decided to use Psyduck, hoping it would evolve. Ash accidentally tossed her backpack into the water, and when she pulled it out, a Golduck came out.    Thinking her Psyduck had evolved, Misty battled with Marina and ended up winning, Golduck defeating Marina&#039;s Starmie (the battle with the Psyduck was interrupted by Team Rocket). It was at this point Misty realized that her Psyduck did not evolve. The Golduck she was using was just trying to impress her. Marina then realized the information she told Misty about Psyduck evolving wasn&#039;t true. Although Marina assured Misty that this demonstrated her superior skill as a Trainer, she won using an evolved wild Pok&eacute;mon without even catching it. Ash also pointed out that technically Misty&#039;s final battle couldn&#039;t count as she won using a Pok&eacute;mon that wasn&#039;t hers.    [credit to bulbapedia]
