Yelena is the leader of the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers working under Zeke Yeager. She was one of the Marleyan soldiers on board the first survey fleet to Paradis Island after Marley's failed attack operation. She is a very tall woman with her blonde hair styled in a short bob with straight bangs. She has large dark eyes and somewhat androgynous features due to her build and style.

Yelena is a fervent follower of Zeke Yeager, holding great admiration and respect for him. She is usually calm and collected, her demeanour remaining unchanged even when Jean Kirstein yelled at her for failing to see her job through. Nonetheless, she is willing to take responsibility and apologizes should she fail in her task. Yelena appears to maintain a very relaxed demeanour while having dry, humorous undertones to much of her actions.

~!It is later revealed that Yelena was born into an unassuming family in Marley, and eventually became disillusioned with her own country. After meeting Zeke Yeager, Yelena concocted a plan to solidify herself in history by helping Zeke save the world. As part of her narrative, Yelena created a false background for herself, claiming that her homeland was invaded and conquered by Marley. She was forcibly drafted as a soldier to fight in the Marleyan military, where she met similar-minded soldiers and organized them into the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers to fight against Marley.!~

Aquila saint, she domains the winds.   She very graceful in her movements and is quite intelligent, she can read stars and have taking the path of a saint, taking off her mask after Kouga suggested it and she founded her resolution in life.   She's often with Kouga and Souma in class and they're invaluable friends in her life.  

She cares a lot about Yuriko Nishinotouin and is very worried, when Yuriko collapsed after being poisoned by Miyo Inbami. 

She is an organization clerk who measures coefficients of the dead and classifies them in various fields in order to determine their bar destination.

Envy is a homunculus who has the ability to shapeshift. They use this power to assume the form of any person and even copy their voice. They usually serve as a spy, but their abilities are also extremely useful for assassinations. Envy may not be as smart as some of the other homunculi, but they are by no means an idiot. In fact, they can be just as good a puppet master as Lust, but this is overshadowed by their cockiness and bad temper. This temper can easily be set off by insulting their large and delicate ego, causing them to make mistakes.  

__In the 2003 anime series:__ As the oldest Homunculus, Envy claimed that they had forgotten what they originally looked like. Envy also greatly hates all humans and followed Dante mostly for the opportunity of killing as many people as they could. This is what drove Envy in all that they did and unlike other Homunculi, Envy does not care about the Philosopher's Stone, nor about becoming human. ~!Towards the very end of the series it is revealed that Envy was created four hundred years ago by Hohenheim in an attempt to resurrect the son he and Dante had, who later died from mercury poisoning when he was eighteen years old. Envy held a great hatred toward Hohenheim for never being acknowledged as his son and for abandoning them and Dante.!~  

__In the manga and 2009 anime series:__ Envy was the fourth Homunculus created by Father. Though often referred to as a 'he' Envy is apparently genderless and can take almost any form it chooses. Referred to by Lust as the most cruel or sadistic of the Homunculi, Envy shows the most open disdain of humans and relishes in any opportunity to hurt, humiliate, or insult them. They are also quite vain and short tempered and dislikes anyone insulting their appearance. ~!Beneath this cruel exterior, however, Envy is secretly envious of humans' inner strength and the mutually beneficial friendships that they share, since most of the Homunculi show little real concern or emotional support for each other.!~
