A member of the Togoru team in the dark tournament. Karasu is a lower B Class demon. Karasu&#039;s personality is largely unknown, with Karasu always remaining calm and serious, never showing his true self. Karasu always wears a mask over his lower face. His goal in the tournament was to have Kurama&#039;s severed head. In the second Character Popularity Polls in Japan, Karasu was at 8th place with 698 votes, making him the most popular member of Team Toguro.    Sometime ago, Karasu and Bui faced off against the Toguro brothers, where the brothers won. Promising them a rematch if they joined their force, the two followed the Toguro Brothers.    Karasu is a demon bomber, and as such can not only explode things without physical contact, he can also create bombs himself, including winged bombs and giant cases of dynamite. Karasu&#039;s most dangerous ability comes after he removes his mask, and his hair turns from black to blond, a full-body explosion strong enough to kill large numbers of humans.    Before the Final Rounds, Karasu met Kurama in an alley where the two had a confrontation, which ended in Karasu victorious.    During the Final Rounds, Karasu fought against Kurama, where he almost killed Kurama off rather quickly, and it was only thanks to a potion Suzuka gave to Kurama that helped him live, transforming him into Youko. Kurama then gained the advantage, having a giant plant eat Karasu. Karasu simply exploded the plant and used his full-body explosion on Kurama, reverting him back to human. Karasu then had the complete advantage, almost killing Kurama, but Kurama used a Vampire Plant to stab Karasu&#039;s heart, killing him. However, Kurama still failed to win the match since he attacked from his knees and timed out.

Casshan began his life as Tetsuya Azuma, the son of Kotaro and Midori Azuma. The former of his two parents was a scientist who turned Tetsuya into Casshan after Kotaro successfully revived Tetsuya's dog Lucky into a robot dog named Friender when Tetsuya volunteered to be turned into a neo human, despite the objection of his mother and father. Tetsuya volunteered to become Casshan due to another one of Kotaro's creations, Black King activated on his own and set out to conquer the world. In the 1993/1995 OVA remake, Kotaro and Midori are killed by Black King.

Hirokawa is the leader of a cabal of Parasites which counts Reiko and Goto among its members. The group attempts to accrue political power in order to set up safehouses where they can take their victims, killing and eating them in secret. Hirokawa gains election to the office of mayor in East Fukuyama City, a small town (by Japanese standards) of 500,000 people close to Shinichi's hometown. Hirokawa wins by running on a campaign centered around locally-based environmentalism. ~!Secretly, Hirokawa is a radical environmentalist who believes that the Parasites' purpose is to cull the human population, standing one step above them on the food chain. Monspeet is a demon who is a member of the Ten Commandments, a group of elite warriors of the Demon Clan handpicked by the Demon King himself. He was sealed away along with the rest of the clan in the Coffin of Eternal Darkness until he was set free by Hendrickson.

Shaka is one of the Twelve Gold Saints. As the guardian of the Temple of Virgo along the path of Sanctuary, Shaka has played a pivotal role chiefly in the battle between Athena and the Pope in the Sanctuary arc, and also in the Hades arc. He is referred to many times on the story as the "the man who is almost a god" (or closest to attain godhood) due to his immense power and is also considered the only Gold Saint that has full control over the Araya Shiki (8th sense).  Shaka alone of all saints occupies the rarefied spot between God and man, but living between two worlds has its blessings as well as curses. As a Bodhisattva, and endowed with the most powerful cosmos of all the saints even overpowering Libra Dohko's and Aries Shion's Cosmos, Shaka well deserves his reputation as the man closest to God. Even as a child in India, Shaka was precocious and communed with God himself--a scene recounted in the flashbacks moments before Shaka's death in the Twin Sala's Garden. For someone whose life has just begun, he had been unusually sensitive to sufferings and mortality of human life. Seeing pain and death as reflected in the Ganges gives the boy Shaka enough despair, if not a crisis of faith. With esoteric learning and training, Shaka eventually became powerful enough to don the Gold Cloth of Virgo, which he wore even as a boy in the manga, and wise enough to rise above human passions and attachments. For most of his life, he would look on human feelings with a mix of pity and compassion without being bound to them, with charity but not always with love. Detachment seems to be Shaka's answer to the poignant questions raised by human life, and he is seeing humanity from the point of God rather than living the experience. He would be disabused of this attitude in his encounter with Ikki. In the end, Shaka would have to remember that he is a man, as well, and return to whence he came.  He often casts illusions to deceive his enemies. A probably illusionary technique is Transmigration (or Reincarnation) to the Six Paths (六道輪廻 Rikudō Rinne?) in which Shaka sends his opponent to one of the six Dharma's rebirth realms. These realms are, as described by Kurumada: Gakikai (the realm of the preta), Jinkai (the realm of humans), Jigokukai (the realm of hell), Chikushōkai (the realm of beasts), Shurakai (the realm of the warring demigods) and finally Tenkai (the realm of heaven). Interestingly enough, Kurumada presents the Buddhist realms of reincarnation as separate planes of existence from those found in the Hades arc of his manga, which he derived from Dante Alighieri's conception of the underworld. The Tenkai is considered the worst realm to be sent as mentioned by Shaka.  Shaka strengthens his Cosmos energy by depriving himself of his eyesight. When he opens his eyes, the stored strength is then released. Due to his enormous power, Shaka is called the "man who is closest to god". He can also use Hāṃ (カーン Kān?), a defensive technique that creates a barrier that encircles Shaka's body.  Between his offensive techniques he can use Demon Pacifier (天魔降伏 Tenma Kōfuku?) to expand his cosmos at multiple targets or at a single one as a blast, that it was strong enough to destroy a large part of the Cancer Temple and Heaven Supremacy on evil spirits of rivers and mountains (天空覇邪魑魅魍魎 Tenkūhajachimimōryō?) in which Shaka summons minor spirits and sends them against his enemies.  Shaka's most powerful move, The Treasures of Heavens (天舞宝輪 Tenbuhōrin?), is an offensive and defensive combined technique. Not only traps and defangs Shaka's victims, it also wipes out their five senses named as "Remove of the 1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th sense" (Dai Ikkan/Nikan/Sankan/Yonkan/Gokan Hakudatsu). Essentially reduces Shaka's victims to living corpses by stopping the main functions of the brain that allows the body to think, also called the 6th sense. The offensive power of this attack is so destructive that it can easily destroy the cloth of the opponent.  Apart from those fighting techniques, Shaka also uses two concentration ones that belong to the Hinduism and buddhism like Om(ॐ) to maximize his Cosmo energy, allowing him to use the full extent of his power and Tenpōrin Mudra (転法輪印 Tenpōrin'in?) to erase any doubts in his mind that could refrain him during the fight. Tenpōrin is the japanese name for the Dharmacakra.

Yu Kaito is a human who develops superhuman powers as a result of the demon plane hole opened by Sensui. He is a student at Meioh Private Academy where he constantly attempts to outdo Kurama for top grades. He is a master of the written word, having written several books and enjoys word puzzles. His ability is &quot;Taboo&quot; which allows him to create word games that those within his territory must adhere to or their soul will be extracted from their body. While testing the limits of his power, Kaito breaks his Taboo and has his own soul sucked from his body, prompting Kido and Yanagisawa to consult Genkai to help him and explain their new powers. In the anime television series, Kaito is voiced by Issei Futamata in Japanese and Jakie Cabe in English (Wiki).

 An expert at stealing and one of the wisest of demons, Thief is recruited by Beelzebub to accompany them in searching for water. He gains an affection for driving during their quest, and often fights with Beelzebub for turns driving their tank

Riko's father. He is a sports trainer and a former Japanese national basketball team member, thus making him an expert when it comes to basketball. He's really fond of his daughter Riko, and declares that he will 'kill' anyone who dares to mess with her.

Masaaki Nakatani is the coach of Shūtoku High School. When Masaaki and Kagetora met at the Winter Cup, it is revealed that the two know each other. They share some mutual past, as they called each other Tora and Ma-Boy.
