The Third Hokage is a former student of the First Hokage and Second Hokage. Because of his surname, Sarutobi, the First and Second called him "Saru". He is the father of Asuma Sarutobi and the grandfather of Konohamaru. The Third was called The Professor due to his vast knowledge of jutsu, purportedly knowing all the jutsu within Konoha, and also as the "God of Shinobi"  due to his immense power. Zaraki's first name comes from the district he once resided in, Zaraki, which is district #80 of the North Alley of Rukongai. District #80 is the worst, most lawless region of Rukongai, full of thieves and murderers (whereas area #1 is the most orderly and law-abiding). While residing in District #80, Kenpachi was nameless. During that time, he became proficient in swordsmanship and killed numerous enemies. At some point during his travels outside of District #80, he found a small girl and named her Yachiru (八千流), in remembrance of the only person he ever admired, after she showed no fear of his sword. Yachiru came from area #79, Kusajishi (草鹿), where her parents were murdered. The two events were apparently quite close. On that day, he also took on a name: Kenpachi, the title bestowed upon the strongest swordsman, the one who has killed the most. The two developed a father-daughter-like relationship.

Also, at some point (before he became a Captain), he fought and defeated Ikkaku Madarame; for this reason, Ikkaku pledged to serve under Kenpachi from there on out (Ikkaku doesn't actually get the chance to do so until he joins the 11th Division), but Ikkaku would still jump at the chance to fight Kenpachi to the death. After some time had passed, Kenpachi found his way to the Seireitei. He defeated and killed the previous Captain of the 11th Division (whose identity is currently unknown) and gained his seat in the Gotei 13 in this manner. In the anime, his assumption of the Captain's seat caused Maki Ichinose to leave the Soul Society. According to the anime, it is also what convinced Ikkaku and Yumichika to join the Shinigami.

Once it's stolen, the Chief goes on a nonsensical tirade and defenestrates himself out of the building, nearly killing himself. After going insane, he becomes stuck in a strange dream that apparently one of his former psychotic patients had until Paprika rescues him.

Head coach and founder of the Kamogawa gym. He fought as a prizefighter in Japan shortly after the end of World War II. Along with his friends, Ginpachi Nekota and Dankichi Hama, Kamogawa developed a style of fighting that both presumably became the forerunner of boxing in Japan and emphasized scientific theory in its techniques. He first appeared in the Lugia saga that comprised of The Mystery is History, A Parent Trapped and A Promise is a Promise. He has since appeared in number of episodes giving Butch and Cassidy  their mission briefings, though this was only as a vocal role in all except Oaknapped. People often get his name wrong, much like Butch. For example, he was called Dr. Samba by Cassidy in The Ole' Berate and Switch!. He also has a short temper.  Little is known about Namba. Because he does most of his work in a covert fashion, it is possible he is a fugitive from justice. It can be speculated that since he does order scientists and agents within Team Rocket, he is either very knowledgeable about his field or that he has been with the group for a while, climbing the corporate ladder at Team Rocket. Kami was the good half of the Namekian that came to be the God of Earth, with his evil half becoming the Piccolo Daimao. In the anime, he competed with Garlic for the position and won. 300 years later, Garlic's son Garlic Jr., bearing a perpetual grudge, attempted twice to fight for the title and lost. He then watched over the planet for centuries to ensure its safety.    Seeing the spawn of his other half Piccolo threatening the planet, he goes to Earth in secret and competes in the Tenka-ichi Budōkai by possessing a human. After advancing to the semifinals he battles Piccolo, trying to trap him in a bottle using the Mafūba. Piccolo is able to overcome it by reversing the attack, trapping Kami in the bottle himself. Juan is the Gym Leader of Sootopolis City's Gym. He left his Gym in the care of his former student, Wallace, but returned after Wallace replaced Steven and moved up to the position of Pokémon Champion. He gives the Rain Badge to Trainers who defeat him. He specializes in Water-type Pokémon.

Drake only anime appearance was in Vanity Affair. His English voice actor was Brian Maillard and his Japanese voice actor is Shōzō Iizuka.     He witnessed Ash having a battle with another trainer and invites Ash and his company to his ship and then to have a Pok&eacute;mon Battle with him. Drake wins the match easily and Ash realizes he had been overconfident recently.     

The oldest member of Mattis' band of robbers. He has been around even before Mattis was born, and has been looking after him like a father. He is sharp-tongued and enjoys teasing people, but even though it seems as if he doesn't listen to anyone, he is very dependable in times of trouble.
