An old woman who wants to take in Violet after being contacted by Gilbert. She has lost her son during the war.

A strong woman who used to work as a designer, can speak lots of different languages. She acts as Akio's enforcer. Ran means "orchid" and shishigaki means "boar fence", which keeps vermin out of fields.

Kabae has a very bubbly personality, she loves to talk about her family, and is quick to spread rumors. Despite Kabae's tendency to leave a path of destruction with her rumor spreading, she is a genuinely good person who even went as far as going to Retsuko 's house to care for her while she had a cold.

Mahiro's mother who happens to work as a part-time deity hunter. She is a skilled fighter as well as an avid  gamer, she is adept in using ordinary common dining forks as her throwing weapon.  

Amaranta belongs to a group of people who makes a point to rent gondolas sculled by singles, so as to help nurture their growth. She shows up in episode 2 of Aria the Origination (&quot;That Smiling Customer&quot;) after renting Akari&#039;s gondola for the day. At the end, even though she&#039;s been to all the spots Akari guided her through, she pointed out that it wasn&#039;t the destination that mattered, but the heart and spirit of the Undines themselves that made the journey enjoyable.    Amaranta is an anime only character, and does not show up in the manga.
