Zelgadis is a Chimera of human, rock golem, and blue demon, transformed by Rezo, the Red Priest. Zelgadis travels the land with Lina and company to find a way to restore his humanity.  Zelgadis is a very talented individual in magic, sword-fighting, and several other fields, but his forte is definitely his mastery of Shamanism.  He is one of the few characters who remains rather cool and serious throughout the series, and is often the only one in the group with a level head, though he tends to get pissed off when things go awry, or when the group mistreats him (like using him as an anchor due to his weight from the rock golem).

A criminologist, and one of Tenma's former classmates; he helped Tenma by saving him from arrest and also acquiring information about Johan from all the criminals that Johan had met. He also helped Nina to recall her past, to the point of endangering his life. Sakura's wandering monk uncle. Cherry's real name is Sakuranbou, which literally means “cherry” in Japanese. But because the word's kanji can be read to mean "deranged monk," a phrase that is quite accurate in describing him, he prefers to be called by the English word. Cherry has amazing spiritual powers (or so he claims) and he often predicts doom for Ataru (no great feat). He has a habit of popping up out of nowhere, often from very strange places. His ugly face and very short stature are frequently used for comedic effect. Cherry has made a vow of asceticism, living in a tent in an empty lot not far from Ataru's house. However, this vow apparently doesn't apply to food, as he is an enormous mooch. Rei Hino of Sailor Moon's Grandpa looks a lot like Cherry.

Moria is the captain of the world&#039;s biggest pirate ship, Thriller Bark, and has a former bounty of 320,000,000 Beli. Moria apparently has the power to turn people&#039;s shadows (including his own) into solid objects due to the power of the Kage Kage no Mi (Shadow Shadow Fruit), but the full extent of his powers are yet unknown. He is the one who stole Brook&#039;s, and various other beings&#039; shadows. The loss of a being&#039;s shadow causes them to go into a two day coma, and to be vaporized if they come in contact with sunlight. The shadow acts a second soul, duplicating its owner&#039;s movements and mannerisms. Moria creates zombies by inserting a shadow into a lifeless corpse. Coupled with physiologically enhanced bodies engineered by Hogback, he is able to create powerful and obedient zombie warriors. However, if the original owner of the shadow dies, the zombie created from that person&#039;s shadow will also die. As a result, Moria has the de-shadowed people placed on their ship and removed from Thriller Bark.

Genma Saotome is very much like his son, [Ranma.](https://anilist.co/character/668/Ranma-Saotome) He is somewhat arrogant when it comes to his martial arts abilities, which he rarely showcases due to cowardice or laziness. It was Genma that took Ranma to Jusenkyo. Because he was unable to read the pamphlet, which was in Chinese, he had no idea of the curses that existed there. 
When splashed with cold water Genma transforms into a panda. When in this form, he uses signs with written messages on them to communicate. Although he often tries to rid himself of his curse, he doesn't seem to mind it as much as Jusenkyo's other victims.
