The main crew member of the Galaxy Express 999. He is an alien being with an invisible body; only his eyes can be seen while he is wearing his conductor uniform. The Conductor prefers to go 'strictly by the book' and frequently cites the Galaxy Express rule book, but occasionally ends up bending the rules and getting into adventures with Tetsurou and Maetel.

Owner of Piccolo S.P.A., builder of seaplanes. He is protective of his granddaughter Fio, and constantly warns Porco Rosso to keep his hands to himself. Actually, he does trust Porco Rosso, and agreed that Fio should go with Porco Rosso for his fight with Curtis. His sons have all left Milan to look for work in other cities. He still has a lot of female relatives left in Milan and he tries to help them out by hiring them to help rebuild Porco Rosso&rsquo;s seaplane.

Seiji and Junpei's father, Naojiro's uncle. He is skilled with martial arts, and ninja-like skills. He becomes quite helpful in battle. He's very old school, and overly dramatic. Danbei acts as a parental figure to Honey.

Soun and Genma begin training under martial arts master Chengensai. Chengensai attempts to teach them his "Invisible Man" trick, but Genma and Soun are later shocked to learn that he and Happosai are old friends.  Source: Rumic World
